Convenient location for this guest house which is run by a couple who clearly care about their establishment. Friendly welcome and two good breakfasts made for two enjoyable days in Plymouth. On street parking costs £7.70 per day but that's down to the City Council not the owners. For their part they helpfully provide the parking permits. Would certainly recommend.😁

Good traditional B&B, handily 10 minutes walk from Plymouth Pavilions. Good cooked breakfast. Was able to park on street directly outside (on a Saturday night) with the permit only costing £7.20 (as at December 2023). Will book again.

Very pleasant one night stay whilst in Plymouth for a theatre trip. The single room I took has all you need - comfy bed, TV, tea & coffee, ensuite shower. Good choice for breakfast - fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc. as well as full English options. Pretty close to Plymouth How and to the city centre, both in easy walking distance. Service was welcoming and helpful, especially when I had trouble locating the nearby car park. Will stay here again when in the area next.

Property is only a block from the waterfront. Our room was upstairs (no lifts). Parking is off site but right around the corner. Olive is so sweet and accommodating. We had the best breakfast at a big dining table that we shared with others from around the world. Great conversation and stay.

Olive was a wonderful and welcoming host--she helped with parking, which can be tricky. She also provided suggestions for restaurants which were close by, on the water, and very good. Highly recommend a visit to the Mariners Guest House. Thank you Olive!

Was a very straightforward, smooth check-in & the single room was spacious, superbly furnished & maintained. Great location within walking distance to everything you might be looking for. James and Marie are very kind and the inclusive breakfast was more than welcome after days on the road. Would recommend this accomodation to anybody visiting Plymouth.

Rooms very comfortable and clean. Location is great, only a short walk to Plymouth Hoe. Off street parking close by was reasonably priced at 4 pound overnight. Breakfast was good and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if I was in Plymouth again.

Loved our overnight stay here. Hosts were very welcoming and gave us a breakdown before leaving us alone. Parking is either by permit (which they provide you for about £7 a night), or there is a car park a short distance away which is slightly bigger but only takes coins (also provide by the hosts if you need change). Only issue i had was that the bedding was on the thicker side, which in summer can be slightly uncomfortable for sleeping in (even with window open). Breakfast was DELICIOUS!

Excellent stay at Mariners. Very close to Hoe, Barbican and sea front. Choose route carefully though as there can be lots of steps. James and Marie went out of their way to make our stay comfortable with lots of little added extras in the room . Communication excellent and local knowledge is useful for hints on where to go and what to do. Carparking permit and advice reduced the stress of parking in a busy town. Much cheaper to use this permit. Plenty of choice and quality breakfast Good location for travel into Cornwall also.

Our stay at the Mariners was ideally situated to the theatre and also vey near to the Hoe &Barbican Our room was large, clean and very very comfortable and had everything you need for a comfortable stay The owners were really lovely people and the breakfast fabulous

Very nice hosts, bedroom was very nicely decorated and comfortable, milk readily available for the room, breakfast options were great. Hosts offered several option for parking. The only thing we would say was below par was the water pressure in the shower.

Room was immaculate including bathroom area Owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was one of the best breakfast we’ve had in a B&B absolutely wonderful For us personally any small issue we had was the bed was very hard which we didn’t find comfortable, but we appreciate it’s very difficult to get a mattress to suit everybody It was a shame for us as we didn’t have a very good night sleep because of the mattress. Overall the value it was very very good value, and if you don’t mind a firmer bed, we would not hesitate to recommend it.

We had a fantastic one night stay when we were in the area to watch Michael MacIntyre at Plymouth Pavillions. The hotel decor is lovely, immaculately clean, breakfast was fab, hosts could not of been nicer. If I had any feedback it would be the pressure in the shower is quite low and not king-size beds available only doubles but this was not a problem and didn't negatively effect our stay. We will definitely be staying again!!

Host (James) was really nice and welcoming. I had a single room with its own bathroom which was perfect and clean - it had everything - tv, shower sink and toilet - a small built in wardrobe to hang clothes, a desk and chair and a bed with a bedside table. Comfy and good value for money. We were towards the top of the house which was quite warm, however we were provided a fan each on the bedside table to assist us keeping cool. It would have been great to have had a sheet instead on the quilt over us. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, with everything served at the table. If you are veggie or vegan do let the hosts know in advance.

The hosts make this property. They were so friendly and welcoming and clearly love what they do. The property had everything you need in your room including usb ports, fresh milk for hot drinks and even a chocolate and biscuits. Lovely touches. The rooms are beautifully clean and the bed very comfy. The radiators have proper temp control - my room was rather too warm for my preference on arrival but I was soon able to adjust it. The breakfast is outstanding. There is dedicated service, a wonderful selection and your hot choice cooked to order. Couldn’t ask for more. Would definitely stay again

Marie was an amazing host, the room was lovely and she was very attentive to our needs. Despite not wanting her to have to get up early for us when we left she was still awake to see us off with our breakfast to take away. Really great stay.

I received a fantastic warm welcome from the owners James and Marie They exceeded all my expectations the place was warm cosy clean and the atmosphere so friendly nothing was too much bother There were so many areas where the attention to detail was outstanding What my final comment is the breakfasts were healthy with plenty of choices and perfect poached eggs And James and Marie are lovely warm hosts and amazing individuals I am definitely going back as this is a gem!!! Very pleasant one night stay whilst in Plymouth for a theatre trip. The single room I took has all you need - comfy bed, TV, tea & coffee, ensuite shower. Good choice for breakfast - fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc. as well as full English options. Pretty close to Plymouth How and to the city centre, both in easy walking distance. Service was welcoming and helpful, especially when I had trouble locating the nearby car park. Will stay here again when in the area next.

The area, the room, the owner, the atmosphere- everything was just perfect! We slept super well and enjoyed a good breakfast while chatting with other visitors and the owner. There are great restaurants nearby and if you arrive or leave by ferry, the guest house is just 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal. We warmly recommend staying here!

One night stay visiting family. Was greeted by the lovely owner on my arrival who made me feel most welcome. A wonderful host. Quiet, clean and comfy room . The guest house is located very close to the sea and only a short walk to the town centre. Will definitely return to 👌😊

Olive the owner was fantastic. Cooking our breakfast freah to order each day. The continental section was excellent as well. Room was very clean with plenty of tea & coffee on hand. A large fan was even supplied to cool us down at night. Great location a short walk to the sea front. Will definitely stay again.

Rooms very comfortable and clean. Location is great, only a short walk to Plymouth Hoe. Off street parking close by was reasonably priced at 4 pound overnight. Breakfast was good and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if I was in Plymouth again.

Our stay at the Mariners was ideally situated to the theatre and also vey near to the Hoe &Barbican Our room was large, clean and very very comfortable and had everything you need for a comfortable stay The owners were really lovely people and the breakfast fabulous

Comfy and good value for money. We were towards the top of the house which was quite warm, however we were provided a fan each on the bedside table to assist us keeping cool. It would have been great to have had a sheet instead on the quilt over us. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, with everything served at the table. If you are veggie or vegan do let the hosts know in advance.

The hosts make this property. They were so friendly and welcoming and clearly love what they do. The property had everything you need in your room including usb ports, fresh milk for hot drinks and even a chocolate and biscuits. Lovely touches. The rooms are beautifully clean and the bed very comfy. The radiators have proper temp control - my room was rather too warm for my preference on arrival but I was soon able to adjust it. The breakfast is outstanding. There is dedicated service, a wonderful selection and your hot choice cooked to order. Couldn’t ask for more. Would definitely stay again
