We have stayed here several times over several years. The property is starting to show its age. Broken tiles in the elevators, coffee maker in the room didn’t work. The breakfast was okay but the staff weren’t very attentive. No brown sugar for the oatmeal, eggs were dried out, hash browns were almost gone. The wifi wouldn’t connect to the internet. Things are starting to slip there.

Place was good, the breakfast was good, only issue it was hot downstairs i think they were having some ac issues as there was a bucket and some towels on the floor by che k in. The lady that checked us in was very courteous but the one that checked us iut acted rude and that we were bothering her as she counted out the money in plain site.was a good enough stay for the last minute reservation

It was confusing to find the outdoor pool. There needed to be more signage to locate it. They should have more luggage carts, since another guest came & got it from me the second I'd unloaded it, both arriving & departing. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay, & we enjoyed the wide selection of breakfast items.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was filthy from the moment I walked in. The sheets had visible stains, and the under sheets had crumbs. I even found chips at the bottom of the bed from the previous guest, along with a beer bottle cap, hair on the floor, and a comb that was clearly left behind. It was obvious the room had not been properly cleaned. The stains on the furniture and bedding looked suspiciously like bedbug stains, which made me very uneasy. The only reason I stayed the night at all was because I had my two-year-old child with me, already asleep, and I didn’t want to wake them at midnight to move to another hotel. However, I checked out the very next morning, far earlier than I had planned, because I could not tolerate staying any longer. What made the situation worse is that the staff didn’t even ask why I was leaving early or show any concern for the condition of the room. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would never stay here again.

The shower doors were covered in mold, the room was noisy and they sprayed it with air fresheners that were too strong.It smelled like the guy at the front desk was smoking pot when we checked in. I will not recommend or return to that hotel ever

We like Hampton Inns and Suites for their friendly staff, consistency in neatness and cleanliness. We’ve stayed in this HIS several times before. The only complaint we have is that the shower has soap buildup on the door around the edges and corners. Otherwise, we’re happy.

Our first room had a terrible leak behind the toilet. They moved us across the hall. The room wasn't very clean they need to look under the bed and in the corners. My wife found a q-tip under the bed. Worst of all apparently when they built this hotel, they didn't take into consideration exterior noise levels from the freeway, freeway entrance and the railroad tracks. The STC ratings on the windows had to be very low because the noise level was horrible. We couldn't wait to get out of there. My wife wanted to leave in the middle of the night.

Easy check in, once we got to the room it was overall fairly clean there was hair still on floor and in shower drain. The water in the shower took a REALLY long time to get hot. (Roughly 1-2 mins). No complaints and if in the area again we would book it again.

First surprise was pet fee one night$75. I travel a lot Hilton owned especially in a smaller town is usually $50 till 4 nights are stayed. So much for policy😳😳😳 When I opened my room door the smell hit me ( vomit and alcohol) like a bar bathroom!!! The room was superficially clean, but all the corners had lots of dust and debris. Shower towel rack was broken. Right next to highway and noise was also a factor. This is my first negative review. Hampton you can do better!!!!!

Our stay at this Hampton Inn was good. The room was spacious and comfortable. We got a room away the traffic, but didn’t know about the trains passing close by. Of course each train had to blow its horn four times.

We stayed here to be close to family for 2 nights. I expected better from a Hampton Inn. The bed was comfortable but the sheets kept pulling out of the corners, the bathroom faucet was hard to turn off and on, the thermostat wasn't calibrated correctly so we had to keep messing with it. Also it did not have a fan only seting which would have been nice to drown out the VERY NOISY freeway. So sleeping was quite disrupted. The breakfast was better than most places and over all the hotel was clean and it had large elevators which is nice when you are using their luggage cart. Due to the freeway noise permeating the room, we won't stay here again.

Only stayed to sleep from 9pm to sunrise. Comfy bed. AC in room was wonky (controller) so only thermostat controlled it. Kept shutting off during the night & prefer to keep fan/noise on as white noise. Oh well. A few wobbly lamp shades & loose outlets (wouldn’t hold charger plug in). Took a while for hot water in bath faucet but shower ok. Needs better or newer shower doors. Pretty spacious room. Good size fridge. Microwave could be bigger but sufficed. Breakfast was decent & hot. Plentiful selections & good seating area to eat. Well worth the $100 on Expedia to stay here as 1/2 way point to our destination. Also right off Hwy 58 and super convenient with Dennys next door & a cute lil mex place out front. Didn’t get to eat at either but appears clean and decent. Parking is good size but we use handy-placard so ADA spots were good. I’d recommend. Didn’t get to use or see pool either :/

Check in was very lengthy, there was a huge insect in my room that I had to hunt down, it was noisy from the nearby freeway, and there are no usb ports in rooms to charge devices.

This was a nice hotel. Nice clean room with all amenities including a microwave. The bed was a bit lumpy and the a/c unit was a bit fickle to get set but all in all, I would stay here again.

Contactless check in does not work. I waited at the door for the digital key but no key was provided. Had to go back down to the front desk to recheck in. The clerck wasnt that nice either. Then no room service after first night. You have to ask for room service. They the coffe so you can make it but they dont give you water. I will not stay there anymore.

Check in was terribly long. Grumpy staff member “who just works here”. Heard that over and over with each check in. Called to get extra towels as I use two for my long hair and my son was to shower after me and again grumpy would only exchange my wet towels (that were on my head) for two new ones and “that’s the policy and I just work here”.

Great customer service by "Greg" my walk in to the hotel i felt welcome. As soon I walk to the lobby he welcome me in with a big smile. He told me if had been to downtown bakersfield before and advised me to keep my personal and expensive items in the hotel. That made me think that he looks out for his customers. The stay and room was 💯 satisfy. I will return back to the hotel on my next visit to bakersfield.

Staff was great and very helpful with suggestions of activities in the area. Our room was very comfortable. I don’t like that reward members don’t get their check in perks when booked through a third party. Every other location has given us one. Maybe it is a newly enforced rule???

This is a great location to take a rest on a road trip. Right off freeway, clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, close to a Mexican restaurant, Denny's, Starbucks, gas stations, and a McDonalds.

The room was good, breakfast was good. The area around the hotel has limited food options and doesn't feel super safe. Was fine for a quick one night stay. The poster at the front desk sums up the feeling of the area- cows tagged for burgers with the word "happy". It is what it is, so try to enjoy.

Check in with the lady was very nice. The room is small but it was doable. It took the shower about three or four minutes to warm up then took a while to get it to cool down. There’s some mold in the shower, room was fairly clean. The bed was kind of lumpy and the pillows were terrible. We had breakfast, it was your typical run-of-the-mill scrambled eggs and crappy sausage. They also offer waffles, bagels, and muffins. Terrible coffee. Luckily there was a Starbucks nearby so we went there and got coffee. Overall, it’s a doable stay but not the best hotel we’ve stayed at.

Not the best experience here. We booked this hotel because of the convenience of breakfast every morning @6:30 but one morning we waited, and waited, and waited. Nothing. Because we needed to leave early, we left at 6:40 with no breakfast. Very disappointing and definitely not in our schedule to have to buy breakfast elsewhere when we should have eaten at the Hampton Inn and Suites.

Overall a good room. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. The carpet looked a little worn. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. We loved all the extra pillows. The breakfast buffet had oatmeal, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, potatoes, toast, make your own waffles, yogurt, fruit, juices, and coffee. Everything tasted good. A dedicated employee made sure nothing ran out.
