Great parking, nice staff, room was clean and we didn't have breakfast. Price was higher than we normally pay.

I booked this hotel on my road trip from New York to Canada, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel for the price I paid. The staff was accommodating, and the rooms were clean. While there is no pool, there is a gym with four machines and some dumbells. The beds themselves were comfortable, and I had no trouble falling asleep. Breakfast was simple but there were sausage egg muffins which they had, as well as a waffle machine. Honestly, could not have asked for more given the price.

Great value stay. Stayed one night while attending a show in Waterloo. Good location. Clean. Friendly service. Breakfast wasn't anything exciting. Fitness room isn't anything exciting. Lots of free parking.

The managers were very nice, very professional and very aware of the hotel and the area. This seems to be a property under renovations which is renting rooms while the renovations are underway. We went to turn on the lights. The ones above the bed are fluorescent and the dark brown switch blends in with the headboard of the same color. It appears they are being replaced by some LED reading lamps. Unfortunately, the outlets on the bed are not working. There is a new one that is, but the clock is plugged into one of the outlets, so you only have one available. There is an outlet near one of the beds, and in the bathroom but none near the desk. When we couldn't find the light switch, the manager was nice enough to come up, but there was obviously nothing that could be done about the missing outlets. Some of the furniture appeared on the newer side which means it will eventually be a lovely place.

Clean, quiet, comfortable. Great pillows. Friendly staff. Cute lobby. Large breakfast window time. All day coffee and tea. Fridge in the rooms was useful.

Decent hotel in a small town. Quiet and safe area with plenty of parking. facilities is a bit outdated and I stayed at the ground floor which was a bit noisy in the morning from the continental breakfast areas.

Need microwave in room.

The bathroom was dirty including the shower curtain. Window had black mold in window which had my daughters allergies act up. Went to Walmart and purchased cleaning supplies and air fresheners to prepare the room for our 2 days stay. Lastly we didn’t receive a friendly welcome I felt like an unwanted guest…I will never stay at any of these hotels in the future.

The room was not cleaned. The toilet was dirty and food was left int he mini fridge from someone else.

Our queen suite was extremely dirty upon arrival. The floors had not been vacuumed. The window was fiflthy. The bathroom was disgusting. We went to Wal-Mart to get disinfectant cleaning wipes to clean the bathroom. There was no shower curtain. Our tub drain was clogged and dirty water backed up into the tub. We asked reception to have maintenance unclog it and then for housekeeping to come and clean the tub. Maintenance unclogged the tub, but disposed of the clog on the bathroom floor. Housekeeping never came to clean the tub or bathroom. We had to clean the bathroom ourselves a second time! Housekeeping never showed the entire time we were there to empty our garbage, gather the dirty towels, or provide us with new. Running the vacuum, wiping surfaces, and scrubbing the bathroom would make a world of a difference.

Can’t believe this place is only about $100/night. Spotless, quiet, beds comfy. A+++. Breakfast ok, but for the money I saved, I went out to breakfast.

I stay at the Microtel in Geneva, whenever I come to visit. It is my preferred place. The last two times I was here, there has been a definite decline in room cleanliness. A dirty washcloth hanging in the shower, the walls have smears of something, cobwebs in the corners.

Even at first sight everything looked clean after you looked closer bathroom wasn’t cleaned very well. When we used the sink some hair started coming from under the rim….hair (of different origin ) in the shower, some corners weren’t touched in a long time.

Find to stay for a night, not super clean. Dirty floors, towels with hair still on them. Staff wasn’t overly friendly/welcoming…. You can hear all the footsteps above you and any door close.

Small rooms, poor breakfast

We didn't like the water drainage in the bathroom, Tub, Sink. Water didnt drain, Also,,,it would have been nice to have a table lamp in the bedroom, Didnt like the lighting.

Beds are small and mattered are worn out. AC in rooms is super noisy and vibrate because all the covers are broken

Room wasn’t ready at 7 pm when check in was 3. Room was well equipped but very small. Breakfast was underwhelming

While staff was engaging and inviting...the room showed its age especially in the bathroom. Not enough working outlets.

Good price for a decent hotel. For me, the bed was a bit uncomfortable. They also provided three pillows of varying firmness but they were half pillows (too small). I will stay again when i return in the future but I’ll bring my own pillow. A/C was a bit noisy (clicking sound at odd times woke me). So minor gripes, otherwise great.

My stayed on 10/12 was good. However my one night stay got charged twice. Once through hotel.com and once through the hotel charge. When I called on 10/17 front desk to ask for help and resolve this billing issue. The front desk person was aggressive, told me no such thing happened and will not entertained my request. I felt like I was accused of being a lier and wasted his time. I am surprised by the level of service and hope they will do something about it. I will be disputing the charge through my credit card company.

Average hotel but very clean! The staff goes above and beyond to assist and make your stay comfortable. I walked into fresh baked cookies upon check in and an offer to help with my bags. I’ve never experienced such genuine hospitality even with upscale lodging experiences.

Outstanding staff!! Everyone was super nice with management going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Indeed, could not have been better. Was up for the Geneva half marathon and my wife and I had an amazing stay...credit the outstanding staff!!!

At 8:00 pm we had to wait a while for service. No cups in our room and breakfast was just okay. No prepared food. Waffles were good

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We traveled to Geneva for the Ironman race and so we had to wake up super early. The hotel staff had arranged “grab-and-go” bags for the athletes to have breakfast at 4am. They also made the breakfast nook available so we could use the toaster, microwave coffeemaker and hot water for those of us that had packed our breakfast essentials. Thank you to the Microtel team for going above and beyond !!!

I imagined a suite since it’s a Wyndham suites property. The beds weren’t comfortable. And there’s no one around to help service a clogged toilet in the evening. The front desk wanted me to use their plunger. I pushed for a different room which he eventually agreed to. For the higher price point the whole experience felt like it should be a motel

Decent selection at breakfast. Staff is all around wonderful! The only minor setback was when the batteries in our door lock died, but they had it fixed in minutes! They were so accommodating, and it was a great hotel. 10/10 would come back.

2 Small issues 1 huge one. 1st, upon checking in it appeared as though they had given our room to someone else. It was quite the circus watching them figure out what to do. 2nd, we were told that our room would be cleaned every other day (totally fine), but it never was. And third and most importantly, and I would not believe it if it hadn't happen to me, the first night of our week long stay when we returned to the hotel our room keys had stopped working. The manager (asst) on duty was not able to get them working. He ended up giving us his key!!! Although we appreciated the solution, we were very uncomfortable with the fact that we had a master key to the entire hotel!!! Tested on our friends room and it definitely worked. Now, right there this is unheard of, but to make it even worse they never asked for it back! We used it for the week and therefore had access to EVERY ROOM in the hotel for the week. And I know the access level never changed because during the week our friend had an issue with his room and had to be moved and my key worked on that room too. Fortunately, I am an honest person but who knows who else could have been given this level of access. We will absolutely never stay in this hotel again, nor will anyone else planning a trip to that area who discusses it with any of us.

Very clean and safe. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and it’s a short drive to downtown.

My husband and I had a few days to spend in the Finger Lakes. Trying to find a reasonably priced place as well as convenient location to stay was difficult. We happened to stumble upon the Microtel and found it perfect for our needs and budget. Friendly staff, clean rooms, breakfast provided, and convenient location made this an excellent choice for us.

The property was conveniently located to Watkins Glens Park, many wineries, the castle, and restaurants. We stayed 2 nights. The hotel was conformable and clean.

Clean spacious rooms and the property was located in a great area. 5 minutes from downtown Geneva and Seneca Lake.

We were very happy with the service and our room. Breakfast was also excellent with lots of hot and cold options. We would definitely return if we are ever back in Geneva!

Great location and very clean facility. Breakfast offerings can be sparse as it seems replenishment is not something that is done once the initial food is set out. Good selection , but more attention should be paid when things are consumed. That’s the only reason a 4 rating is given

Everything about the stay was excellent except for the breakfast. That left a lot to be DESIRED. We in fact ate elsewhere and paid for breakfast both mornings rather that eat microwave food.

Absolutely wonderful! I am reserving a room here for next year! This was my third year competing in the Seneca7 and I have stayed at various places. I hope to make this place THE place for my remaining competitive years! Breakfast was set up 2 hours early for all the participants and they made grab bags with food. Including gluten free!!

It was average. I am not satisfied with their breakfast. They don't have cereal or bread.

The breakfast was below average but everything else about our stay was great.
