Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham - Geneva

Room was compact, but clean and included all basic needs. Shower was okay, bed and pillows were functional, but not amazingly comfortable. The free breakfast was small, but included larger variety than I was expecting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. For the price, it was a great option for us and very close to HWS College where we were attending graduation.

Microtel in Geneva - Overall, the room worked perfectly well for HWS commencement weekend and was a good value for the price. Our room was clean but seemed dated with large mirrors covering the entire wall behind the bed. This was strange and distracting but since we were mostly just in the room for sleeping, it ended up not being a significant issue. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. We didn’t hear a lot of hallway noises during the night, which was nice, but the shades do not completely darken the room, so some light does come in from streetlights and the sun first thing in the morning. The toilet was odd where we had to hold down the handle for the entire time it was flushing. I worried that it would suddenly stop working, but it worked fine and was apparently just finicky. The breakfast was sufficient - it was convenient to grab a bite to eat and a cup of coffee to go. If you are vegan there are not many choices except fruit and bagels, just fyi. The blow dryer in the bathroom was super powerful and that was a nice surprise. Hotel staff were friendly and the lobby smelled like cinnamon from the cookies they set out each day. A very pleasant stay overall and less expensive than other hotels in the area. Parking is plentiful.

Room was in excellent condition. Breakfast options could be broader.
