The pictures advertised for the hotel are different to what you actually get. The room totally different. Room had a massive crack going down the wall. Black mold in the shower. Dirt and grim all round the corners of the room. The lift can only hold 2 people at a time max weight 220kg. But the staff were really friendly and helpfull

Bildene ser bedre ut enn hva det gjør irl. Trodde jeg kom til et ok hotell. Det var råttent gulv som knirket, sengen var som å ligge på betong, det var dyr i doen, heisen funket ikke og der var løse møbler/lamper som også ikke funket. Ellers ok

When closed bathroom door it locked. Had to go at reception 2am to pick up bathroom keys. They have no service phone to call reception and the lift takes ages to go up & down. Area around it’s dirty & unsafe.

Perfect Budget Friendly Hotel, with all the basic necessities that you need! Conveniently located in the Center of the City, making it very accessible to catch all the Transportation options in Athens! The Staff was extremely kind and helpful! The hostel is located by the busiest traffic road. People without house lives right outside the hotel. The facilities are old, the elevator wasn't working properly, I had to carry my luggages to second floor. We did not get the room that we found from the booking picture. The floor tiles were losing, it makes big noise when someone walks. The walls were not soundproof ,we could cleanly hear the conversations and car motions outside our room. The first receptionist was not friendly and helpless when I asked for advice on car parking. There were neither greeting nor goodbyes upon our arrival or departure. We traveled 18 days in Greece, stayed in several hotel or b&b, this is the only one we had to offer our concerns.

For the money! Just AWESOME... Main reason why we picked this hotel is because of the front desk 24/7. Super close to the train. Short walk. We weren't expecting much for the price but this was really a welcome treat. The room even had a mini fridge! We will stay again !

The hotel is just a minute walk from Omonia metro station and it’s on a main road - you don’t have to go into any sketchy alleyways. I was alone and felt totally safe walking to/from the hotel. The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless.

Sehr nettes hilfsbereites Personal. Zimmer für jemand der Luxus will nicht geeignet. Wir waren hauptsächlich zum Schlafen im Zimmer. Dafür hat es vollkommen ausgereicht. Zimmer wurde täglich geputzt. Es hat immer frisch und sauber gerochen.

Fläckiga handdukar och sängkläder. Badrummet var fullt av svartmögel, el kablar blottade i badrummet med bara lite tejp på. Luktade hela tiden unket och avlopp i rummet. Dörren in hade dåliga gångjärn så vore inte så svårt att ta sig in utifrån.

The floors in the rooms were dirty, the towels were awful. I doubt the bathrooms were ever thoroughly cleaned. If we could have, we would have moved to another hotel. We were told by several local people that the surrounding area at night was unsafe for tourists. On the positive side, they did have people at the reception desk 24/7.

I wasn't pleased with my room. The room I slept in was completely different from what I initially booked online: it was small, metal bed, uncomfortable mattress, torn and dirty curtains. If I didn't know any better, I'll call it a scam. We reserve nowadays based on the photos presentonline and at this point, I just think you are a little bit dishonest with your business ethics.

The street of the hotel is dirty and there are a lot of strange/homeless people. It seems safe, because there are more hotels in the neighbourhood. The hotel was clean, respect for the cleaners. The receptionists are fine, but they didn't really welcome us or give any information. The room was very outdated with old furniture. Especially the bathroom was really old. The photos are very outdated. There was no breakfast, no water, no coffee machine, etc.

It was a good location and close walking distance to all the tourist attractions. Staff was friendly and check in and out was quick. When I booked this hotel the pictures online look more luxurious than it was. The bed had lost its cushioning and I would feel the springs as I slept.

De metalen veren van het matras was te voelen. ik moest een dubbele dekbed erop leggen om enigzins te slapen. Hoewel ik aan de achterkant van het hotel een kamer had, kon ik de auto en motoren nog steeds horen. Het leek net alsof ze door mijn kamer reed. Verder is het hotel zeer gedateerd. Als hangt met plakband tap aan elkaar vast. Ik beveel dit hotel absoluut niet aan. En dat voor 90 euro per nacht in het laag seizoen.

I needed to call an ambulance for my daughter and they did not help me. I had to go to the pharmacy. The hotel is near all major tourist attraction which is a good point. Rooms are clean but the environment around is dirty.

Service was great, staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. This is not a five star hotel so you get what you pay for, we just needed a place to sleep and were quite happy, nothing to complain about. It's located right near Omonia Square where you will find shopping and restaurants. Just a few minutes walk to the Central Market. The walk to Syntagma square is only about 15 mins but it will take much longer because of all the shops you'll find along the way. Will definitely stay here again when I return.

When closed bathroom door it locked. Had to go at reception 2am to pick up bathroom keys. They have no service phone to call reception and the lift takes ages to go up & down. Area around it’s dirty & unsafe.

1. Hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to/from the Omonia Metro which is the station for services to/from the airport (9 euro as at May 2025) 2. Hotel is less than 10 minutes walk to/from Monastiraki which is one entry point to the main tourist sites such as the Acropolis 3. The room space and bathroom were a good size, and was sufficient for 2 guests travelling with medium-sized suitcases 4. Small bar fridge to keep food/drinks cold 5. Close to a self-service laundromat

For the price you pay please don’t expect a 5star facilities. Unfortunately place is an old building. Smells of smoke as soon as you walk out in the hallway. The bed is not so comfortable. It’s a 2single bed put together. Shower is okay. Clean but only curtains to separate it from the toilet. Location is good for public transport. And grabbing breakfast from neighbouring shops is not a hustle. Overall if you are only going to sleep in it’s a good location. Beware don’t be too late out as Omonia looks a bit rough place to be roaming around at late nights.

The hotel is old but very clean, with nice staff. The area is a regular downtown, big city area, so not very touristy but fine otherwise. There are several cafes/bakeries around to buy a cheap breakfast plus a tasty gyro place very close by. Subway is one block away as well, but it's walkable to the Parthenon (30 min)

El hotel está muy próximo a la estación del metro, a restaurantes y muy cerca de los monumentos históricos de Atenas. Si lo que buscas un lugar céntrico para pernoctar es el indicado. Lo malo que no te ofrecen desayuno ni una botella de agua de cortesía en la habitación.

Ares Athens Hotel'de 5 gece konakladık. Otel odası ve banyosu temizdi, havlularımız iki günde bir değiştirildi.. Otelin konumu umduğumuzdan iyiydi, havaalanından metro ile çok kolay ulaşım sağladık, metroya birkaç dakika yürüme mesafesindeydi ve yürüme alanı güvenliydi. Konaklama öncesinde otele havaalanından nasıl daha kolay ulaşabileceğimizi sormuştum, otelden hemen yanıt aldım, detaylı olarak ulaşım durumu açıklanmıştı ve tavsiye ettikleri şekilde metro ile kolayca ulaşabildik. Bu hızlı ve doğru yanıt otele olan güvenimizi artırdı. Otel yakınında kahvaltı yapılabilecek veya yemek yenilebilecek farklı kafe ve restoranlar vardı, yemek konusunda hiç sıkıntı yaşamadık. Tek sıkıntımız akşamları sıcak bir çay ya da kahve içmek istediğimizde, bunun için yine kafeye gitmemiz gerekmesiydi, otelde böyle bir alan ve hizmet bulunmuyor.

The street of the hotel is dirty and there are a lot of strange/homeless people. It seems safe, because there are more hotels in the neighbourhood. The hotel was clean, respect for the cleaners. The receptionists are fine, but they didn't really welcome us or give any information. The room was very outdated with old furniture. Especially the bathroom was really old. The photos are very outdated. There was no breakfast, no water, no coffee machine, etc.

Service was great, staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. This is not a five star hotel so you get what you pay for, we just needed a place to sleep and were quite happy, nothing to complain about. It's located right near Omonia Square where you will find shopping and restaurants. Just a few minutes walk to the Central Market. The walk to Syntagma square is only about 15 mins but it will take much longer because of all the shops you'll find along the way. Will definitely stay here again when I return.

Positives: Great location a few steps from Omonia square with metro,shopping, hop on hop off bus stop and numerous great restaurants and bakeries. Lift worked, wifi worked. Affordable accommodation with lift, and somewhere to crash and shower. We felt safe in the area as there was a lot of tourists and a lot of urban renewal taking place. Negatives: In dire need of renovation, but still a good deal for the price. If you’re after a posh place, it’s not for you. Staff were moderately friendly and helpful during our early morning check in after a delayed flight.
