The GombitHotel was incredible! We were looking for the best hotel in Bergamo and we found it! The parking is tough if not reserved in advance but the location in the upper city? AMAZING! The staff went above and beyond to be helpful, the room was so new, clean and well-appointed.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Gombithotel. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und diese Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit aller Mitarbeitenden zog sich durch unseren gesamten Aufenthalt. Das war toll. Das Hotel ist mitten in der Altstadt gelegen, für die Anfahrt benötigt man eine Bewilligung für die ZTL (erstellt das Hotel). Das vom Hotel empfohlene Parkhaus direkt in der Altstadt können wir weiterempfehlen. Unser Zimmer war modern und sehr ansprechend eingerichtet. Es bot gute Annehmlichkeiten wie z.B. eine Nespresso Kaffeemaschine. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und fürs Abendessen bekamen wir gute Tipps von der Rezeption. Gerne kommen wir wieder und können das Hotel weiter empfehlen.

This is a lovely hotel right in the centre of the old city. The staff are helpful and polite and the rooms are beautifully designed. Whilst the hotel doesn't have a lot of facilities, it is right in the heart of things and it is easy to find good food and drinks nearby.

Staff very helpful especially Michael for our restaurant recommendation and transport assistance. The hotel was very clean, room spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Hotel is set in the heart of old town Bergamo ideal for walking around the walls, shops and restaurants. We caught the bus back to the train station which couldn’t have been easier a short 5 minute walk to the bus stop- I would recommend if coming in by train to utilise the bus up the hill to the hotel as it is quite a hike 40 mins and then the funicular ( which was the fun bit).

The location was perfect, right in the middle of Citta Alta so cafes, restaurants and points of interest are all close by. The staff are all very friendly and the rooms are cleaned daily. Stunning large bright room. Huge bed, good continental breakfast. We had two room for 2 couples. Both amazing. Reception was very accommodating.. they booked restaurant tables and taxis for us, arranged for extra milk/coffee whatever we needed in the rooms. The housekeeping was immaculate, spotlessly clean bathrooms and floors. We really didn’t want to leave.

Wonderful boutique hotel in heart of Old Bergamo. Original reservation was for a King room but when I extended time had to reserve the higher priced loft. It was lovely but awkward as bed is in lift up steel stairs and the bathroom downstairs and all is cramped. But loved it all the same.

Hotel Gombit has a great location, but, more that, the hotel room was spacious, with ample shower space, elegantly decorated, and with the most comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. It is a short walk from restaurants, shopping, and the fernicular. My husband and I had a wonderful time in the hotel and the enchanting town.

This area of Bergamo is amazing and you are in the center of the upper city at this hotel. The staff was over and beyond at welcoming guests. The accommodations are wonderful. A mix of the old of the structure with some modern fixtures and conveniences. Very clean and and the breakfast was perfect. So close to many restaurants and stores. Plus the views from the upper city to the lower are magnificent.

Superb stay in beautiful ancient (900 year old) converted tower right in the centre of Citta Alta. Spacious and well equipped room. Good breakfast of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, cereals, yoghurts and breads. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
