Stayed at a few different Motel One in Manchester and the standard is always highly met. Clean rooms, nice bar facilities and welcoming staff. Great location right by the Piccadilly station and a nice late check out was definitely a great addition.

The front of house has a real wow factor. The upper level corridors not so much. Good cheap clean accommodation. Good value for money. Enjoyed a late night drink in the bar and that was lovely. Friendly bar staff!!

Motel One is in a great location, close to train station, tram lines and a short walk to shops and restaurants. It was clean and the staff were pleasant. The only negative things i would comment on is the bar is massively overpriced - £4 for a bottle of water and nearly £5 for a 330ml bottle of beer. Our shower head was also loose and didnt stay in place so had to hold it in place while showering.

Good hotel for a one night stay. Well located with a car park next door, although this is not a hotel carpark. The decor in the reception and bar area is lovely and rooms are compact but clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities and a decent hairdryer. Only a couple of things let it down. Our air conditioning wouldn't cool adequately so we had quite a stuffy night and no bottled water was provided in the room which I found unusual.

Love Motel One and their Piccadilly hotel is no exception! Great bar and great atmosphere for those late night drinks when you return from an event. Rooms clean and compact with comfortable beds and pillows to give a great nights sleep!

We had a great stay and it is so convenient for getting to the new Co Op live arena. The only criticism would be the long queue for the bar after the concert.

Great location directly outside Piccadilly station. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Room allocated was a decent size with a nice comfortable bed. Also had tea/ coffee facilities. Only downside was the hotel doesn’t provide an evening meal facility for people arriving late.

It has quite a trendy vibe in the lobby area.However, most of the chairs are very worn and look dirty. Bedroom carpet is cheap looking and the pillows were stained without protectors on!! 11 floors up and it was so noisy I had little sleep.

The room was spacious enough with everything you’d need. The bathroom was probably the highlight with a great shower and super clean. However I wasn’t impressed with the bed. The mattress was very hard and the pillows was one soft and one hard. But as a side sleeper it meant your head was either too high with both or too low with one. Would have been better with more choice. Also our bedding had a lot of stains on it with even the mattress cover actually having blood marks on it. Also the chairs in the room, such as the stool had a huge spillage stain on and the carpet was dirty as my white socks were brown after walking around. My final complaint would be the view from room 4.21 where the room windows were directly inline with the windows of the neighbouring office block meaning most of our stay we had to have the blinds closed otherwise we just had people starring inside.

Previous good trip's but quality seems to be going downhill. We've previously used Motel one and found them to be good. But on this trip we were left disappointed. Firstly there was a previous guests blood on the front of the sink, we appreciate it may not have been obvious when cleaning but when sitting on the very close to the sink toilet it was very apparent! The curtains are that thin they may as well be tracing paper.. from sunrise just before 6am the room was lit up completely, terrible sleep especially as we wanted to have a relaxed morning and enjoy more time resting. To compliment this the air con randomly decided to rev up at various points during the night.. a slight exaggeration but it was like a jet winding up.. certainly loud enough to wake us. The room overall felt very basic and sparse, old tv with terrible signal, one bin in the bathroom and bland decorating. It was a room for the night and the staff are great but even if its a cheap deal I dont think we'd stay again purely down to the poor sleep.

Rooms are small, but clean and compact. If you are looking for luxury this is not going to be for you. The rooms lack closet/storage and being small it can be tight with luggage out in the open. There is no fridge or safe in the room. This was a difficulty for me since I had medication that needed to be refrigerated. The staff is friendly and efficient. Public spaces are clean and well kept. Breakfast was ok. Better than what you often get in the US , but I was expecting something better for the money. If you opt out of breakfast there are plenty of places in the local area a short walk away. Overall, it’s a good value for the money. Clean, well located and well run. I would book this hotel again.

Decent hotel for a night, near the train station so convenient for me. Room was ok - functional - carpet a bit tired but otherwise ok. Bed comfy. Quite alot of noise from he street but windows blocked out most of it. Aircon wasn't great though

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had definitely been refurbished and looked great. The hotel is very handy for transport into and around the city. The only thing letting it down is the television. Although the equipment is special, the reception and choice of channels is below what I would expect for a city hotel.

Hotel itself was nice enough with a fairly comfortable bed, simple room, water bottle on arrival and tea and coffee in room. However, we were put on the first floor and on a Friday night, the music from a nearby night club and the singing from tramline below made sleep impossible.

Having stayed at several Motel One's. Id say this was the worst. From a LONG check in with few staff manning the desk. To a horrible TV system, and no in room safe. Room was quite small with no space for suitcases or anywhere to store clothing. The door was, like many Motel One's very hard to close. Be sure its secure if you stay here. Check-out was no better. With staff not even inquiring as to how we found our stay. Overall. Disappointing

This hotel was fantastic! after 26 hours of traveling, I desperately needed a shower and sleep. The front desk was able to get me into a room for an early check in and didn’t charge me an added fee. The front desk staff were very kind and friendly. On my last night, I visited the bar and the bartender even watched over my drink while I went to the toilets so nobody would mess with it. Very clean and upscale hotel. I will definitely book this establishment again when I come back to Manchester.

I arrived early and was firmly told no room until 3. I had to almost insist on them taking payment and doing the admin part of check in so that when 3pm came it was a little quicker. Lots of people waiting on lobby and the at 2.30 a mass shout ‘rooms are ready’.

Staff were fantastically friendly and the room and hotel were spotlessly clean. The bar tenders were lovely we enjoyed a drink after our event. Comfy bed we dropped a star due to the tram noise keeping us awake. It was extremely convent position for the tram to get to the coop live for busted vs mcfly.

I had a last minute change of plans and had to find a hotel last minute. This was right across from Piccadilly station so it was fast to get to. Check in was quick and easy. Because of the proximity to the station, getting anywhere was a breeze.

The property is central, however there is major tram work going on directly putside the building that starts early and finishes late, including weekend wirk. Asked for a room away from the noise. This was quiet but directly faced onto an office block, which was very close, so could not open curtains as the office staff could very clearly see in our room.

Nice hotel in a great location just minutes from the Piccadilly railway station and a short walk into the Manchester city centre. The room was big enough as was the the bathroom and the rom was very clean. The breakfast was okay with no hot food and of the continental variety. There are no lunches or dinner but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Ther is a bar with a large seating area, just to note that there are no draught choices. It is the third time that we stayed there are we will continue to stay there.

Expedia! You need to define the add on breakfast you sell. I’m sick of getting to hotels like this and being offered a cheap buffet breakfast. In the U.K. I expect a cooked breakfast. This place had breads and the cheapest most diluted orange juice I have ever drunk. List it as self serve or cooked. I’d have much preferred save money and buy breakfast elsewhere.

A good, basic place to stay near Manchester Piccadilly. The rooms are very reasonably priced and a highlight is the buffet (continental - no cooked offerings apart from boiled eggs) breakfast: there is plenty of choice. The only thing I found surprising - and I see other reviewers found the same - is that despite the hotel's "green" aspirations, cardboard mugs are provided for tea/coffee in the room and the "Philly" cheese at breakfast came in single-portions packed in plastic. Strange!

Decent. Would go again, but dont bother booking breakfast - its only basic fruit and pastries for £30 extra for 2 people. No hot breakfast at all. We went to a cafe nearby.
