The hotel was dated. The floors were old and the paint was dark. We were given a room with a balcony over the pool. The pool was indoor and the room had no windows except for the balcony which let no light into a very dark room. The desk clerk was kind enough to change us but I detected an irritation in dining so. The other staff were very agreeable! Especially the breakfast assistant. She was lovely. Very friendly.

Our experience with this hotel was one of the worst we have encountered. The parking lot was so dark, it was difficult to see what was in the car and a safety issue. Zero landscaping at the entrance and paving surface was very rough and bumpy. At the entrance the roof was sagging and falling down. Once inside, the noise from the bar was so loud we thought an event was happening - very jarring. As we approached the elevator, the walls were scarred and dirty, same inside. On our floor - it smelled like urine (not exaggerating), the carpets looked dirty and sagging with red duct tape holding them together. Again the smell and the dirty walls. Inside the room - it smelled better, but stains on the carpet at the bathroom and the front panel of the AC was laying on the floor. Inside the shower- dark mold looking substance at the tub and shower wall. The lighting inside was very dull and low making it hard to see again. No plug- in available at the bedside for phones. Due to a travel delay we arrived here late and no energy to find another hotel. We chose this due to the pictures in the Hotel.com listing - it looked appealing and fine. A totally different story when we arrived. We NEVER complain about hotels - but this was beyond belief. Will not be choosing Best Western again!

Our room was clean & good. Beds did seem smaller than most hotels for a “double bed” room. The pool is nice but the most shallow is 3 feet so not very little kid friendly. Not their fault, just mine while booking, I missed that part in the pictures. My older children loved it though. The hot tub was great! Breakfast was wonderful & the woman running it was amazing. She was very helpful & you could tell she loved her job! I love an easy “drop your card here” for checkout! We will be staying again when we come out for the Medora Musical.

My family had a great time in ND visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park and really enjoyed staying at The Roosevelt Grand Hotel. It was clean, breakfast selections were good and all was enjoyable.
