The pool was closed. Had to ask for more amenities as there were 3 of us sharing a room. The front desk person was truly overwhelmed with a line at the desk and phones ringing off the hook. I pre registered but she practically threw the keys at me. I don’t blame her one bit - I would’ve done the same thing. Where was the manager at this busy time to help her out??

Property was easily accessible. When we checked in after a long drive, the front desk staff made us think that choosing this hotel was a terrible mistake. She mentioned that our room is 209 but gave us key for 309. We need to explain her twice that the room number and the key are not matching. Finally she gave us the right key. Next came the second blow - elevator doesn’t stop in 2nd floor. We need to carry all our luggages through stairs. When we entered the room, the room had 1 king bed whereas what we reserved was a room with 2 queen beds. We need to go back to her to get it changed to room with queen beds. We need to move our luggages again to another room - thankfully the new room is in the same level as earlier. Wondering what is the reason for picking a room type during reservation? Room was okay - old fashioned but manageable. Looks like the bathroom was upgraded recently. Breakfast options were limited - didn’t have eggs in the first place. Staff loaded a few quantities after inquiring that the protein options were very limited. Overall not a pleasant stay. May not choose next time.

Super rude reception who doesn’t understand the basics of hotel service. She couldn’t even greet guests or say welcome, and answering a simple question seemed too much for her. On top of that, the elevator was out of service, and my mother, who has arthrodesis, had to climb two flights of stairs, which was extremely difficult for her. She didn’t bother to give us a room on a floor where the elevator was working, which could have saved my mother from this pain. I believe her behavior and tone toward certain people showed clear racism, and this is completely against any hotel policy. Even though the place itself was okay, this ended up being one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

The room was basic but fine. What prevents me from rating it higher was that the so called gym have almost nothing in it, the breakfast was very poor (the eggs are inedible), and it took too much work to plug in electronic devices. This is 2023 and most guest have devices to plug in. Catch up!

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting the area. The hotel is convenient to the highway, has a decent free breakfast and our room was clean and spacious. Just be aware that the jets in the 2 hot tubs are not working.

When we arrived, our reservation for one queen bed changed to a double-queen room. They could not provide any reason why it changed. Then the elevator would not work on 2nd floor, which is where our room was located. There was a bad smell in the room we stayed in. In fact, there was a foul odor throughout the hallways in this location. The only plus was a decent tv in the room. Everything else was very dissatisfying.

Constantly working on some area of the hotel which didn’t allow for the pool or weight room. Workers and supplies always in the way. Music blaring all hours. Messes everywhere you try to go. Doors not locked. Walls paper thin, kids running up and down the hallways all hours and heater/air didn’t work in room. Had to wait 2 days because no one to fix it.

Outside door would not open with door card so it was propped open with rock. Anyone could walk in. There was a large group of Hispanic workers staying here and they were rowdy. The dead lock on our room door would not work. The water from shower covered bathroom flower, it was wet and gross.

Motel was okay but it appeared the room was not completely cleaned. There was food left in the frig as well as a sticky substance on the tabletop. Please complete the cleaning process of a room as it makes a customer think about what else might have been missed or skipped. Clean sheets? Towels? etc....

While the photos online showed a nice hotel and the people were friendly, the actuality of it left a lot to be desired. The room was not clean. The coffee pot still has old coffee in it from a previous guest. There was no security lock on the door and the sheets and bedding were old and shabby. The TV was too small to watch and the mirrors were so smudged you could barely see in them. We had a suite with a couch in it that was badly stained. I wish I could say I'd stay here again, but chances are I probably won't.

I was disappointed with our room it was dirty and had stains on the curtains and the breakfast wasn't very good. Also the room washroom had unswept floors and hare clipping in the corners.

The room was dirty and gross, especially the sheets. Both beds had hair and debris on the sheets. I got my own “twin” sheet out of my car, folded it in half, and made it work. Alarm clock was unplugged and when I plugged it in, it was grimy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Dirt around the room, on walls, etc. Hotel itself is decent, water pressure good, but I would not stay again. It was the level of Super 8, but dirtier.

Checked-in after a long 13-hour drive.. front receptionist was lovely, however realized how dated the hotel was. When we gathered our belongings and got on the elevator, I noticed how filthy it was. Proceeded to our room where there were boogers on the wall, hair all over the sheets and all the towels, splatters of God knows what all over the walls, the floor was so filthy my husband's socks turned black. Dust and filth everywhere. I ended up sleeping on top of a sheet. Was not in the mood to switch rooms after a long day. Absolutely disgusting. Would never stay here again.

I'd never stayed in a Microtel, so didn't know what to expect. Turns out, it's like a Motel 6 but without all the roomy spaciousness. This was without doubt the smallest motel room I've ever had in the US. It's like the kind of rooms I've had in Europe. Very basic, but clean and quiet, slept well. Good free breakfast. Strongest point -- WiFi was free and easy to log into, and by FAR the best hotel WiFi I've ever seen. I tested it at over 120 MBps up and down, symmetrical. Couldn't believe it. If only every hotel would do that!

My husband and I picked this hotel based on its ratings and location. It’s just okay. It’s in a decent location, the breakfast was what you’d expect, staff were nice enough. But the bed and pillows were awful. Neither of us slept well and both of us woke up stiff.

Our breakfast was just right for us. I noticed Carrie was very busy and seemed to be her own. She was checking out guests, staying on top of breakfast clean-up and asking guests if they needed anything. Thank her and maybe get her a little help on a busy Sunday morning.

I called the front desk because my TV wasn't working. They said they would send someone but no one came. I don't think they had anybody on staff to come. Not the end of the world but a call back to say we're sorry or some kind of compensation would have been nice. Place was ok otherwise.

This property is a budget lodging option based on the low price per night, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well appointed the room was, and clean, and modern. The room size was just right, not too big or small. The only slight negative is the complimentary breakfast. It featured a hot food option, with delicious sausages, but strangely no eggs. Perhaps the high price of eggs precludes them from offering them. Waffles were also featured, so all was not lost.

My Son was Graduating College From Dickinson State University, so we all stayed here for the graduation all traveling 4-9 hours. Breakfast was VERY disappointing I don’t understand why you can’t have eggs with the sausage instead of just sausage one day and eggs the next. Not very good at all.

No certain why the hotel advertised that it has breakfast. This was the worst breakfast bar we have ever seen. Eggs and that’s about it. Scrambled and if lucky they may have been warm. Wouldn’t say fresh. No coffee was brewed and ready. Waffle maker out of order. Terrible choice of cereal. No meat at all. It was just a joke!

The breakfast was the worst. Juice dispenser broken, the sausage was terrible. one type of cheap apple fruit, very few break options to chose from. One bagel was in the breadbox. NO eggs. Ridiculous. Just for that I will not stay at a Microtel ever again. worst breakfast ever.
