When we arrived at the hotel, the outward appearance is impressive. However, once we check-in we were met with mix results. We could only receive one entry card for our room which had to be reactivated several times. The entry door on the southside of the building fell apart every time I used. The door on the first floor of the stairwell did not open. The shower curtain had mold on the part that touched the bathtub wall. There was no ironing board in the room, so we used the bed to iron our clothes. The breakfast was less than expected. The lobby had appeal and the overall service was good. The room was comfortable with limited space. We were provided an assessible room which limited the space in the room. The outdoor patio was the best area on the hotel premise. The hotel missed an opportunity due to a lack of commitment to ensuring the best experience for the customer. The effort by management was half assed at best.

I was very pleased with my stays recently. The front counter lady was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was exactly what I needed. The room is small, but clean which was exactly what I needed. The parking was plentiful and the location was quiet. Breakfast is typical continental fare, but there are diners nearby. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay our grandson was graduating fron Basic training at Fort Jackson. It was just a short drive to the Fort. Our room was clean the staff was wonderful. The only issue is the hotel is going through some renovations and there were workers on site. We were not there from ^ am to 4pm as we were at Fort Jackson. It may have been noisy during the daily working hours but that wasn't an issue for us. I am sure the renovations will be done soon and it will be beautiful.

Elevators are dirty. Room had a damp, humid feeling the whole stay. Construction going on. Woke me up at 8am on a Saturday morning with loud construction noise. Sounded like a wall was coming down. Not how I wanted to spend a relaxing weekend. I feel like I should’ve been refunded considering the disruption and the failure to make me aware of it before I booked a room.

Well they just renovated this property so the rooms are REALLY nice. A little on the small side but it's ok. HARDWOOD FLOORS GUYS! Now the reason why I didn't give the property 5 stars is because what happened at the front desk. I'm not going to put anyone on the spot but never try to bamboozle a professional like myself. I know my rights. Anyway, the place is really nice. Thanks for fixing it up. And the spot is by EVERYTHING. Shopping, eating, you name it! I'll definitely come back

Some of the facilities were in renovation mode and the continental breakfast did not seem as top notch as I expected. Not a huge variety of food. The cleanliness was medium but super duper friendly staff so I guess I can't complain.

Easy access off the interstate. Room was clean and fairly new. I liked the built in soap and shampoo dispensers. The Continental breakfast was good and I liked the fact that it opened at 5:30 a.m. Parking was very convenient.

Sheets were completely unchanged. Had dried up stains from what looked like adult acts in the shape of body parts on both sides of bed. A good amount of the pillows also had the same stains on them. Shower curtain had stains as well.

Had a late midnight check-in. Front office clerk was very friendly. Check-in was great, but room was not. I did not discuss issues with clerk due to it being so late in the evening and we were tired from traveling. We had a double queen room. Both beds were made nicely, but once the blankets were pulled back, one bed had not been cleaned. Sheets were definitely recently used. Sheets were covered with dirt, hair, and debris. Carpet in room looked as if it had not been vacuumed. Refused to walk barefoot inside the room. You could easily hear outside road noise as well as neighboring rooms TVs, footsteps, etc. We did not have a good nights sleep.

The rooms are dirty & disgusting. The sheets were disgusting and not changed. We had to get new sheets from the front desk. Everything was dirty and gross. We didn’t want to touch anything. We were given a room key and walked in on someone in our room!! Very unorganized. Breakfast…bagels, waffles and yogurt. No eggs, bacon?? We will never stay here again!!

The pictures online are nothing like what the property is really like. We were on the second floor and noticed a sewage smell. When we got to our room the windows were open so I’m assuming they were trying to air it out. The floors were not clean and on the second day I asked for extra towels and was told no, they didn’t have enough to give more than two. So three of us stayed and got two towels when we checked in and due to a shortage we couldn’t have anymore. I had to go buy towels and then wash them just to have some. The outside grounds was very clean and beautiful. It was a short drive to our destination but other than that I feel like I over paid

The bathroom toilet, sink and tub were nicely clean. The linen was clean. However, the bath gel dispenser was totally empty and the shampoo dispenser barely had any. The room carpet was so filthy the grunge got my socks brown all over the bottoms. Microtel's quality has taken a nosedive. Very disappointing. I don't recommend anyone stay there until it's thoroughly cleaned and better care is taken in keeping toiletries stocked.

The hotel in itself was clean however, my main issue is the bed. The bed was like you took a queen size bed and put a 1000 pound body in the center of it. It was quite uncomfortable and you sunk in almost a half a foot which did not provide me any Rest or any sleep. The bed needs a new mattress and boxspring just awful.

The only thing that was disappointing was the water pressure. The shower water pressure was horrible. I never felt like I could get clean and get the soap off my skin.

All popular restaurants were right there within walking distance, outside of that area or other places that a family would need to go to shop. The reason for me being there was because of my son graduating from the military. I drove 815 miles to this hotel. The only thing about it is that it is very small. It’s compact that’s why it’s called “Micro”. If you don’t have more than one person with you and you don’t mind it being small and compact it then this is a good place to go with reasonable prices. If you have more than one person with you do not go here there’s not enough room otherwise everything else was good at the property.

The walls are not isolated very well from sound. I called the front desk more than once to complain about noise in the adjoining room, but he never answered the phone. I called the room next door but no answer. Finally I had to get out of bed, get dressed to get assistance from the front desk. The noise still persisted.

Front of house staff- can’t say enough about how efficient and friendly the young lady who checked us in was. Room was clean but small, though we didn’t need any more room than there was. The bed was really comfortable. Bedding was clean and like the higher end hotels we normally stay in. We didn’t eat breakfast but I smelled waffles. We came in for the firefly viewing event at Congaree National Park. We would stay again. Lots of retail and restaurants around as well.

Checking in was pleasant and easy. We enjoyed the friendly and helpful young woman at 11 PM check in ANd the next morning at check out. :-) Our room was neat and our beds very comfortable. We were only supplied with bathroom linens for two people instead of three in our reservation, but we made due. The sound proofing was not adequate between floor, so the people upstairs disturbed us with furniture banging off and on until 2 AM. Our breakfast was convenient and easy to prepare. We would not hesitate to stay here again as it is reasonably priced.

The ladies at the front desk were the absolute sweetest and very friendly. The good quality of the room honestly surprised me for how cheap one night is compared to others in the area.

Good property, bad service. The hotel is in a good area, and is in good condition. The bad thing is the service that you get. My room wasn’t clean daily. There were 4 of us and they would only leave us 2 towels. I had to go down to the service desk to ask for towels and toiletries because they never leave us nothing. I wasn’t the only one with the complaining, every time that I went, someone was was complaining about the same thing. One employee that stood out was a young lady name Alehxa or Alexis (not sure about the spelling), she’s very helpful and very patient with everyone.

There were 4 of us and they would only leave us 2 towels. I had to go down to the service desk to ask for towels and toiletries because they never leave us nothing. I wasn’t the only one with the complaining, every time that I went, someone was was complaining about the same thing. One employee that stood out was a young lady name Alehxa or Alexis (not sure about the spelling), she’s very helpful and very patient with everyone.

The pillows are small squares, the toilets are low. There was a leak in the bathroom of our first room. We requested ro switch rooms. The second room smelled like strong cigarette, and it’s supposed to be a smoke free building. The sink water pressure was low and water was a small stream. There are blinds on the windows, but NO CURTAINS TO BLOCK OUT ANY LIGHT. We asked the cleaning lady for an extra pillow. She said ok but never came back. The front desk workers were really nice though.

The walls are not isolated very well from sound. I called the front desk more than once to complain about noise in the adjoining room, but he never answered the phone. I called the room next door but no answer. Finally I had to get out of bed, get dressed to get assistance from the front desk. The noise still persisted.

Location was awesome! However the service was horrible…stayed 3 nights for my son’s graduation 1st night was great 2nd day the shower broke and couldn’t shower. We couldn’t change rooms so we had to go to graduation after the manager came in and gave another room . We had to wait on towels b/c they didn’t have any clean. The new room tv didn’t work properly. And instead of a king bed we were down sized . I asked for a discount and they said it was nothing the could do b/c we went through a 3rd party to book !

Front of house staff- can’t say enough about how efficient and friendly the young lady who checked us in was. Room was clean but small, though we didn’t need any more room than there was. The bed was really comfortable. Bedding was clean and like the higher end hotels we normally stay in. We didn’t eat breakfast but I smelled waffles. We came in for the firefly viewing event at Congaree National Park. We would stay again. Lots of retail and restaurants around as well.

All popular restaurants were right there within walking distance, outside of that area or other places that a family would need to go to shop. The reason for me being there was because of my son graduating from the military. I drove 815 miles to this hotel. The only thing about it is that it is very small. It’s compact that’s why it’s called “Micro”. If you don’t have more than one person with you and you don’t mind it being small and compact it then this is a good place to go with reasonable prices. If you have more than one person with you do not go here there’s not enough room otherwise everything else was good at the property.

It was amazing. We were on a business trip and only stayed one night but it was awesome. The location was wonderful. And the place was soooo quiet. Never heard any kind of foot traffic or automobiles coming or going. Places to eat or shop was right there within walking distance. It was all very nice. Oh I can't forget the friendly attitude of all the staff members. They are truly the ones that makes me want to return there for another stay.

Easy access off the interstate. Room was clean and fairly new. I liked the built in soap and shampoo dispensers. The Continental breakfast was good and I liked the fact that it opened at 5:30 a.m. Parking was very convenient.

The main reason for my 3 star rating was the WiFi access. I stayed at this hotel for 2 different stays in 2 different rooms and the WiFi access in the room was terrible, basically unusable. When I checked at the front desk, they were aware but were unable to do anything. I guess that is just the way it is on the 3rd floor in the room type I had. Nothing else available on a lower floor for my room type. So, I had to go down to the lobby to use the WiFi. Exactly what I wanted to do, spend my nights in the lobby instead of in my room. If you are not worried about using the WiFi, the poperty was good, room was clean, staff was friendly, rooms seem to be recently renovated. I would stay again if it was not for the WiFi, but will be looking elsewhere in the future, as I stay in Columbia weekly. Breakfast was a little disappointing unless you want cold cereal or a waffle. (If you are going to provide bagels it would be nice to have something to put on them besides butter.)

The breakfast menu did not have enough variety. The staff was wonderful. They were very friendly and helpful. Also everything was very clean. The one thing the room we were in did not have the security lock on the door, but it was notated by the staff so it could be fixed.

The person on duty when I checked in was so nice - seemed sincerely interested in how my day went - first room didn't work out because of the air conditioner - she fixed it immediately. The next morning for breakfast, the person in charge of breakfast stood and talked to another employee the entire time I was there. There was ONE cereal, ONE muffin and NO coffee with 20 minutes to go for breakfast. I think breakfast would have been fine had we had choices. No coffee - really. She was truly failing at her job!

Our room seemed very clean and up to date. The front desk folks were very pleasant. We didn’t use the WiFi because the local cell signal was strong enough for our phones. We had breakfast one morning and it was fine, fairly typical of a hotel breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
