There is no onsite parking. The only option is valet paking. The area in front of the hotel is chaotic, the 2 spots reseved for hotel are always taken, so you may have to park over pedestrian crossings, taxis reserved spots, etc. Then you let the front desk know you are there and wait 5 to 10 minutes for somebody to pick up your car.

Disappointing, the carpet was so dirty and old, stained that we asked for another room. When shown, it was 90% as bad so we didn\'t bother. The staff told us "it is clean, we clean it" with a vacuum I suppose, but it needed deep steam or dry cleaning. Had to wear shoes in the room for the entire stay. Decorations on a small TV were strange not artistic

El desayuno es extraordinario. Las alfombras de las habitaciones necesitan cambios están muy sucias. Si te dan una habitación con vista a la calle, tendrás todo el ruido de la calle. Si te dan una habitación en el interior en el patio. Tendrás todos los ruidos del patio. Tienen un serio problema de ruidos en general, se escucha en la noche que se rompen cosas y motores. Location was great, very central, easy to walk to from the train station. Close to bus stops to get to the beach. However my room (facing the main road) was quite noisy especially late at night. Windows were single glazed. Deluxe room was pleasant. I was surprised at the lack of coffee machine (but there was a kettle). However the bar does coffee at a very reasonable price for a hotel. Only one available power socket in room isn't enough these days. Breakfast was good but not outstanding. The scrambled eggs and bacon just go cold in the un heated dishes.

Older property in a perfect location for shopping, trains, and the historic district. Good breakfast. AC and WiFi worked well. Bathroom was horrible. Showering in tub with glass partial swing partition, a flood every time. We booked a suit and were on an upper floor, not only no balcony, but both sets of windows mostly blocked by structural material and blocks. Awful like a prison cell. Otherwise an excellent property.

This hotel was booked for my niece as a part of multi city trip. There was an unexpected countrywide train strike that day of check in, which resulted her not being able to travel from five hours away. Hotel management was contacted by phone and e mail immediately about this force majeur situation, as well as the hotels.com customer service. Neither one was able to resolve our refund request. Material side of the request was not as important as the understanding expected from the related travel institutions. Did not have a chance to experience the hotel, so the rating is just for the response of hotel management in Bari.

The room was not large, but very well organized with a comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast was excellent and all hotel staff members were very friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic for visiting the city of Bari - a 5 minute walk from the old town as well as the main shopping promenade. + Great location! 2 blocks away from main street and 3 blocks away from old town, but quiet enough to have a good sleep (room was on the side of the busy street and could sleep very well!) + Breakfast was a big plus! It has eggs, cured meats, (tons of) cheese, fruits, (tons of varied) croissants, etc... small but highly efficient! + People were very nice and friendly + Parking in front of the property. A little difficult to find a spot on a Friday/Saturday night (given its closeness to the buzz), but good any other day (and free during the night until ~8 am)

The JR Hotels Oriente Bari is a very nice property. It is located just a short walking distance from the historic center of Bari, The staff was attentive and the rooms were clean. The hotel has parking and if you are driving, you will give your car key to an attendant and he will park the car for you.)As we were driving, having a hotel with parking was a must - as finding a parking spot in Bari might take 45 minutes or more - if you are lucky. Please know there is a parking slot in front of the hotel to only unload your luggage and check in (however, this might be an issue to access if others are checking in at the same time). The parking cost is 25-30 Euros per day. The breakfast at the hotel was fine and generous. Regarding driving to hotel, please know that there might be some detours - so what seems to be an easy shot to the hotel, might take a bit longer (and your GPS won't help either). There are plenty of things to see and do in Bari. Do not miss taking the tour of the Opera House (Teatro Petracciello) right next to the hotel. There are tours several days a week at 10 am - both in English and Spanish. The archeological museum in Bari is also very worth visiting, as well as Bari Cathedral and the Basilica di San Nicola. You will need to spend a full day in the Bari Vecchio (old town) to visit most of the sites and enjoy wondering around the maze of streets and sopping at craft shops, as well as having a nice dinner in old town as well.
