If your looking for a 4/5 star Hotel, this would not be a good pick. Hotel is undergoing renovations. Has alot going on. Location is a plus, short distance to Downtown Savannah, Tangler Outlet and a Variety of Resteruants. Best Features are the Pool Area & Frendly Staff.

It has the potential to be a nice hotel but its going to take quite awhile as there is remodeling of the rooms going on right now. Furniture all over the hotel and in the hallway. Im sure they will repaint the walls and change the carpeting in the halls as it really needs to be done as well.

This could be a really nice place But,…….. The best thing about this hotel was the bed. Overall, pretty run down. Rooms are listed very deceptively. Pictures are of the suites around the pool, NOT the general sleeping rooms. I got a tiny refrigerator that barely worked and, a microwave the size of a shoebox. Carpet in the hallways was disgusting. Rear doors had no auto closers on them leaving them open for anyone to enter the building freely. Obvious signs of nefarious activity in and around hotel. Towel rack falling off the wall in bathroom, towels were laughable. Bring your own. Shower head was leaking badly, had pretty much destroyed the wall behind it. But, plenty of hot water. Really nice pool. Unfortunately, not well maintained. Very cloudy with debris on the bottom. I would have been more comfortable swimming in the pond in front of the hotel. Claimed breakfast consisted of cold cereal and, white bread. Coffee was un drinkable. Don’t come hungry, you’ll be disappointed. No bugs that I noticed, other than the mosquitoes in the hallways from the doors being wide open. Parking lot is well lit but, no signs of a police presence of any kind. Do not leave anything of value in your vehicle. Overall tolerable, being as we are traveling for work. So minimal was OK. ABSOLUTELY NOT VACATION QUALITY

The Good - The hotel is close enough to everything in downtown Savannah without being in the traffic. It is easy to find and right off I-95. The price was very reasonable and the front desk staff were very polite when we checked in and out. The Bad - The hotel looks nicer in the photos than it actually is. The carpet throughout is old, stained with bleach and needs to be replaced with LVP, the halls reeked of weed, the bath tubs are old and dinged up, and the housekeeping crew missed trash left behind by the previous guests. Access to the 2nd floor rooms is only through doors on the exterior, we were told there were no elevators.

On arrival the person at the desk told us breakfast was only 6am to 8am not until 10 am. We were told to get to our rooms by parking by the back door. This door is left completely open all day and night and is right next to all the rooms. Very unsafe.

This hotel is very shabby. Our room was disgustingly dirty. The floor was so dirty my feet needed to washed after a few mins of walking on it. Towels and bathroom has hair all over. Tub had not been cleaned in a long time as there was a soap and body oil ring around the tub. Garbage can was very dirty, sink straining basket had black mold, tv had some sort of dry liquid dripping down it. Sheets were ripped and dirty. Disgusting! Our room was missed for refresh on towels, garbage toilet paper, soap, Kleenex and coffee refills. They didn’t have staff to bring it to our room so I was told had to go to the front desk where I waited 15 minutes to get what I needed.

The photos of the property must have been from when it first opened. The property and room smelled like mildew, the floors were sticky. The room was falling apart. The bathroom door handle was broken off and the door couldn't close. Cigarette burns on the chair, the latch to the front door was broken off. The phone to the front desk didn't work. I guess you get what you pay for. Staff was friendly though.

Absolutely do not recommend this hotel. It was disgusting. The towels were dirty, room was dirty, hallways hadn’t been vacuumed in forever, bathroom was gross. We couldn’t even give our kids a bath/shower because of how dirty it was. When you turned the shower on the water wouldn’t drain. The smell was dirty, moldy, musty. Never again.

Hotel was disgusting. Told to use back door that was close to our room and would need our key to enter. went around the door was broken and anyone could enter. Told it was non-smoking and that we would be fined, no problem we don’t smoke but upon entering the room it reaked of smoke and was being “covered up” by an awful smelling room fragrance that was so strong I had a headache all night. Bugs creeping on the walls, I don’t think a vacuum had ever been used in the halls. Talked to front desk first thing in the morning asked for a refund for our last two days and checked out early. They said they would get back to me. Really doubt it but wouldn’t stay here ever. I could also tell you about the bathroom but honestly I am sure you can guess based on the room. Also the free breakfast left something to be desired.

Our primary concern about this hotel is the state of housekeeping. In that regard, the carpets in the hallways were in need of vacuuming and cleaning and the floor in the room left one's feet unclean. Having said that, the staff in the hotel were very helpful, polite and professional.

I was thoroughly a the updates. Mattress wasn’t the most comfortable, but everything else was top tier. Recently updates rooms. Stand up shower in handicap accessible room was huge! Unexpected stay and thoroughly pleased.

This was absolutely a perfect stay. The facility in itself and huge, the room was very large. Quiet, extremely clean. All the staff were always anxious to help with any questions. The breakfast was warm, delicious and filling and the breakfast area was the largest I have ever seen in any hotel.

What made my overall stay so awesome was the staff! Imran (Front Desk Agent) was a sweetheart and very accomodating, with a gentle kind spirit. He even made me popcorn when he knew I was leaving. He gets an A in customer service. When I first got to the hotel, I met Pooshan and he made me really feel welcomed! He apologized for the dust and noise which couldn't be helped during renovations. Not only did he consistently ask if I needed anything, it was genuine. The front desk staff superceded customer service on every level. I gave an "average"rating for my room because I thought it could have been a little more cleaner. It certainly was not nasty, but I know it could have been better. Also not all the lights worked in the room which made the room appear to be dark. The curtains were too long which stopped the air flow from the air conditioner to work at its full potential. Also visitors including some staff would go out the door (right next to my room) to smoke and would leave the door open for re-entry. Due to no working key entry pad, that posed as a safety hazard. There needs to be a working key entry pad available on all entries, preventing anyone off the street from just walking in. That made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I'm not a smoker, so I'm a little challenged with cigarette smoke. Overall, these are easy fix issues and will not stop me from a revisit. How can you fix what you don't know, therefore I felt the need to be honest.

This was absolutely a perfect stay. The facility in itself and huge, the room was very large. Quiet, extremely clean. All the staff were always anxious to help with any questions. The breakfast was warm, delicious and filling and the breakfast area was the largest I have ever seen in any hotel.

My Wife and I Loved our stay. First time at Cottonwood Suites. We were both saying that we thing we found our new favorite place to stay. We usually come into town every 6 mos for about 5 Days to see my mom. We will definitely stay here again. This place has alot of potential. They are going through reservations and they are doing a good job but still have things that they can do. Our room was Excellent, however still had some older stained carpet in it. We loved the opened conference space where the breakfast was held. The property is really clean. Staff was Excellent and friendly! Price was very affordable. We will definitely be staying again.

I relied on hotels.com reviews to choose this hotel and was beyond disappointed. There is no one at the hotel that answers the phone. The voicemail sounds foreign, doesn’t mention the hotel’s name or even that it’s a business phone line. I attempted to call several times to make them aware that we’d be coming in late that evening to no avail. Eventually I sent a message through this app and they responded the next day, after check-in. When we arrived late at night, the doors were locked and the hotel phone in the foyer to call the front desk went to that same foreign voicemail, unanswered. We banged on the doors and eventually someone came to the door and helped us with checking in. The hotel has thin floors, walls, stairwells and handrails. Suspicious people walking the halls late at night didn’t make me feel safe. The room has a bad odor and hall and room carpets need vacuuming desperately. The bathroom sink leaks from the pipe underneath onto the carpet contributing to the musty, moldy odor. Breakfast was ok. After this experience, I checked reviews on other at for this hotel and they were poor, not as hotels.com depicted it. Please remove this from your service! Or ensure that reviews are truly real!

Never made it past check-in. Didn’t even stay at the hotel. Lobby was 85 degrees. Our room wasn’t ready at check-in. Was told 30 minutes, after 30 minutes was told 25-30 minutes. Hour and 15 minutes later room still not ready and was told not sure when it would be ready. Wasn’t offered another room either. After 1hr and 30 minutes of waiting we asked for our money back and went to another hotel. The blame was put on everybody else for the room not being ready. We called ahead to ensure the reservation and room. No place comfortable to even sit and wait.

If your looking for a 4/5 star Hotel, this would not be a good pick. Hotel is undergoing renovations. Has alot going on. Location is a plus, short distance to Downtown Savannah, Tangler Outlet and a Variety of Resteruants. Best Features are the Pool Area & Frendly Staff.

The Good - The hotel is close enough to everything in downtown Savannah without being in the traffic. It is easy to find and right off I-95. The price was very reasonable and the front desk staff were very polite when we checked in and out. The Bad - The hotel looks nicer in the photos than it actually is. The carpet throughout is old, stained with bleach and needs to be replaced with LVP, the halls reeked of weed, the bath tubs are old and dinged up, and the housekeeping crew missed trash left behind by the previous guests. Access to the 2nd floor rooms is only through doors on the exterior, we were told there were no elevators.

I was not aware that renovations were going on when I booked. They did not have the size room I booked. The carpet was filthy. The doors remained open, so I did not feel secure. There was filth in the closets and I dropped the remote under the bed and it looked like there was rats that had chewed the baseboards. The complimentary breakfast was just sad. Just some scrambled eggs, cereal, bread and a muffin, and milk, juice. I needed help with the TV since it was set to another language, the phone was not working, so I had to hike to to the front desk. The only positive was the front desk clerk was very nice. This was the worst hotel I've stayed at in decades.

The hallways looked very dirty. There was a nice seating area outside, but the pool was not clean and the fire table didn’t work. We were wanting to sit outside by it in the evening. The breakfast was very minimal-if many ate I feel like they would run out of food.

I found Cottonwood suites a pleasant place to stay. The included breakfast was rather impressive for this level of hotel. Made to order omelets! Not normal for a hotel this inexpensive. My room was clean and well maintained. My only real "complaint" is the room could have been cooler.
