Holiday Inn & Suites Houston West - Westway Park by IHG

I called before i booked and ask if the pool and jacuzzi was operational. they assured me that it was. so i booked the room only to find out that thay was not the case, the pool and jacuzzi did not work which messed up the trip for my daughter. it was a waste of time and money.

Staff was horrible, gave us a hard time when we asked for extra towels. Housekeeping was awful. Bed was hard. Back parking lot isn't very lit and security is nonexistent. We didn't pay the $14/ea for breakfast so I can't say if the food was good or bad.

Everything was good , only thing the curtains did not block the sun from coming in, I had to get up early because it was too bright , but everything was great, my last day there 2 cars got their rims and tires stolen,that was a little scary but definitely would come back

Pool to cold, no towels, roaches in staircase, ice machine broke and frig not cooling properly, people standing in hallway and someone kicking doors, not much on dinner menu and bar don’t open until 4.

Weekend family trip to Houston. Check in Friday, check out Monday. Total 3 rooms, 4 adults, 1 teenager, 2 toddlers, and an infant. Initial night there, we decided to eat at the "full service restaurant" that they raved about on their page and signs around the hotel. There was ONE person running the whole thing. Bar, service, kitchen, took him 10 minutes to come out, and he grabbed menus while telling us why we shouldn't eat there "its expensive, we have little kids, and a hamburger by itself is 17.00 no fries on and on, (despite sign on the tabel that said kids eat free) so we left and ordered pizza. The room had no bathtub so had to wash toddler and infant in the sink. Waterbug also in attendance in our room :/ AC worked well so reason for 2 stars. Hard beds. Breakfast was okay, but it ran out quickly, and took forever to bring new out. Typical hotel box eggs, bacon swimming in grease, sausage, pancake, yogurt, cereal options, and juice, coffee, milk, fruit and pastries. 3rd night after a long day out we wanted to relax by the pool. Got there around 8 and the smell of chlorine was horrific. Front desk said it was still open and opened the outside door to get fresh air in. Electricity went out in the whole hotel for about 5 minutes, husband was trapped in elevator, hot tub was broken, and the same worker from the restaurant came and said "yall know this is closed right? The hot tub is broken and i dont know when the pool was cleaned. We left. Go elsewhere!

Loved my stayed at this location especially the pool, elevator wasn’t working well but overall it was great

Rooms were spacious, clean employees were friendly, pool was nice and roomy.

Everything went great until the next morning when the room felt pretty warm. We walked out of our room to see that there was no power and I had to walk down 4 flights of stairs with 3 little kids and our luggage.

Nice and clean hotel. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. Fitness room was cozy, but had a treadmill and weights, which worked well. Highly recommend stopping for a meal at Senor Burrito, which is a very short walk from the hotel.

First room we got #was 414 We walk in and it smells like mold. As I step into the room I noticed the floor is caving in like sink holes in at least 3 different spots. Not sure if the had been previous water damages or what had caused it but I didn’t feel safe in the room so we asked to switch. They then put us in #423 same moldy smell as soon as we entered the room. In addition there was 5% water pressure in the shower. Never staying there again and if we had been given a refund we would have switched hotel right away.

This hotel is by far the worst hotel I ever stayed at. This hotel smells like smoke and the room is moldy. This hotel is extremely cold, I don’t recommend this hotel.

The carpet and drapes were unkept and felt outdated. The bedding was decent. The bathroom towels were not properly cleaned and had hair from past guests within them. The hot breakfast was cold and the fruit had mold.

Very dirty. Roaches in AC unit. Very understaffed. They had no towels the entire weekend, said housekeeping couldn’t keep up. Limited parking because a lot was blocked off. No luggage carts. Overall terrible.

The carpets are filthy, and the bedside table is rusted

Everything dirty was told I would get a call on Monday never did.

This hotel was excellent. I have no complaints. Everything was super clean, and everyone was very accommodating.

Good stay, clean room, nice staff, all easy. Too many smokers by the pool and outdoor seating area so could not enjoy that part.

I don’t ever stay at this hotel. The customer service was horrible. I was given a room where the air conditioner was out. After complaining a few times, they finally checked it out and I was given another room. The 2nd room’s key card function didn’t work. I had no choice but to stay here as Houston experienced a natural disaster and I didn’t have electricity at home.

Iris, my housekeeper, did an excellent job with my room. Front desk staff were polite and attentive. Check-in/our was easy. Property is older and a bit rundown, issues like no fan in the bathroom are inconvenient and dated. But room was updated, otherwise, and pleasant. I did not use other facilities (pool, workout room, etc.).

For my stay it was great. The staff was super friendly. The bartender was excellent. Hope to stay here again

Advertised amenities fall short, with the restaurant and bar closing early on weekends, leaving you without advertised room service options. A musty smell and stifling heat throughout the hotel contribute to an uncomfortable stay, while the breakfast buffet, available for an extra fee, offers a lackluster selection compared to complimentary options at other hotels.

The food at Legends was great. However there was no room service or number for a call-in togo order. Unusual for the only in-house restaurant or kitchen.

It’s nice area but the pool was freezing, the restaurant wasn’t really a restaurant and was closed multiple times while we were there. I always stay at the Holiday Inn- this one was a disappointment.

Property condition, housekeeping and room condition was pretty good. Now, break FOOD was fair as best when is free, BUT when there is cost $ for breakfast, the rating is POOR.. Choices limited, food less than appetizing and breakfast area service poor.
