Stayed 2 nights

For a while I have been making reservations at the cheapest, sketchiest hotels or motels I can just to see how bad they are. THIS IS NOT THE WORST. There were problems; the light/fan in the bathroom sounded BAD. The wire was pulled out of the phone. There was no bulb in the wall fixture. The smoke alarm did not work at all. I had to jiggle the handle on the toilet to get it to stop running after flushing. It seems that places no longer put alarm clocks in the rooms; this one did. The room looked NOTHING like the room pictures online. There was no temperature control in the room and the first night it was quite warm. I had trouble checking in as the "guy" they had to call hadn't checked online reservations for a couple of days and so they had no idea I was coming; they could have easily rented the room out that I had reserved. Like I said, not the worst I've ever been; not even close. It's more of a $45/night place than a $55/night place, but... OK.

The room we first put into the bed had yellow stains on it. They upgraded our room which had no AC and they were roaches when we came back in from our date night out on the bed. It was 4 of them in the covers

Not a place you want to stay. Might be more of an hourly stop. Perhaps long term housing. Lots of personal stuff piled up outside. a couple grills and sets of patio furniture. Pretty basic set up, I would have been just fine, until the cockroach climbed up my leg. Upon further look, I found 4 roach traps, and they all had at least 4 cockroaches in them.

Stayed 2 nights

I checked reviews before I booked the motel for two night's lodging. Based on reviews, I thought how bad could it be. I took two box fans with me since indications were that the room might be hot in July. Long story short, I could not stand to be in the room let alone stay there for two nights. I should have looked at the room before I paid for it and I'd suggest nobody pay before they inspect. I wouldn't have stayed there if they'd have paid me to do it. I made a list of the environmental and facility health, life safety and security deficiencies and took pictures to support those findings.
