Wanted to love this place, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. We didn’t realize it’s Sooooo far away from Any civilization/market/restaurants. Our first night there was very limited food options. They were out of EVERYTHING. Power outages, then the lights in our rooms light and fan would randomly turn on in the middle of the night. Over the next 6 days, no hot water-we reported and finally we reported it again and the heating module was out and replaced and fixed, No room service, Never a full menu, no ice, no ice bucket, no juice, no limes, it was basically comical. Then you have to pay basically $40 (2ppl) for a trip into town to eat somewhere else. They do have a free shuttle that will take you to a sister property on 7 mile beach. Breakfast was good, burger, tuna sandwich and jerk chicken sandwich was good as well. I guess I should have done more research, it’s just to remote and not all the staff was helpful. This was our 4th trip to Negril and our usual spots were full so we know and love the area. My suggestion to make your stay here better, rental car, bring snacks and keep your water bottle so you can refill it and keep in mini fridge. Buy duty free liquor and make a day using their free shuttle to 7 mile. Walk to beach, find the Patty man, barter for gifts and search for shells yourself-they are in waist deep water. Have the grounds keeper at the sister property Whistling Bird to clean your shells. At the Westender bring your pool floats and snorkeling stuff

This is the perfect getaway for someone looking to disconnect from the world. It is out of the hustle and bustle of the city with limited internet. They offer shuttle service so you can get around to the various attractions. The location is gorgeous and very relaxing.

I spent 5 days at the Westender and loved it! Beautiful property, excellent views, each pool had its own unique charm, and the staff was lovely. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and I spent less than I would have for an all inclusive. There is a shuttle to 7 mile beach throughout the day and guests were very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

The Westender Inn is a little slice of paradise carved carefully into the far west cliffs of Jamaica. The grounds are beautiful kept by Mr. Green and crew with tropical flowering trees, bushes, and plants throughout the property. Situated on the far west the sunsets are glorious and you can view them from a nearly every corner. We caught a few from comfy little cabanas and the three salt water infinity pools perched on the edge of the fossilized coral cliffs. There are 2 restaurant areas with full bars on the property that offer the Jamaican cuisine essentials with a variety of fruits and vegetables grown on property. For excursions off property the awesome staff is super happy to set you up with reservations and transportation. Free shuttles to 7mile beach run three times a day. You’ll be dropped off at “The Whistling Bird” and have full access the their private beach. It’s like a sister property to the Westender which gives you the opportunity to experience a whole different beautiful little resort. Even the 400 foot walk from entrance to beach is breathtaking strolling through a beach side tropical shady garden. For short money you can reserve a shuttle to any of the local attractions, (Rick’s Cafe, blue hole springs, Barney’s flower and hummingbird botanical garden.) be sure to have staff make a reservation at Barney’s. He is a gem of a dude so long as you make reservations haha. Tino or maybe Raheem will get you safely to your destinations. I could rattle on. Just go!

The property was unique and beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. There were plenty of places to lounge or sit by the many salt water pools overlooking the ocean. Lots of area to walk with pretty flowers and birds. Excellent breakfast and the dinners we ate there were good. Shuttle drivers friendly and can go to Whistling Bird on Seven Mile Beach for free. Cabin 7 with 2 bedrooms, good beds, a/c and tvs in each room, kitchen and living room was perfect for 2 friends (or could be for 2 couples). We would have liked to see some sort of tuck shop with snacks, sunscreen etc. because the property is not near shopping.

The grounds are well kept and beautiful. Pools and grounds are very clean. Food was really good, we ended up eating there rather than going other places because they had so many things we wanted to try. Access to the ocean for swimming or snorkeling, we swam every day. Security made us feel very safe. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.

I normally love this property however this stay was not good. No upkeep. The floor was not swept or mopped prior to my arrival. They use to offer anything on the menu as the free breakfast and now it’s just eggs and fruit. I don’t eat eggs. Stay are great, very friendly and welcoming. I just think management has to remain involved to ensure the upkeep is maintained

No complimentary drink or water, no iron in the room, tub doesn’t work, water pressure low in shower. Dishes left outside all day until animals eat from it. No towels in room after room service until late in evening. No answer from front desk when you call no matter the time of the day. Only good thing was the food and the property is beautiful. Room is also clean.

This is my second time staying at the property and both of my stay i can say that not much has changed. The bathrooms NEED proper cleaning , they have black stains in the shower and it was exactly like that during my first stay back in April of this year. The shower doesn't work properly and its still the same. We had to leave early for our flight and and i could not even take a shower UNBELIEVABLE, thank God we had a bottle of water to brush our teeth. We had room service which was very unusual for the time that they came in our room. All they did was spread our bed all dirty towels were left behind. Rooms need to have "DO NOT DISTURB" signs. When you charge for ocean view my expectation is that the rooms would be in pristine condition. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The staff at the bar at night has ZERO customer service. We sat at the bar she to order dinner, she did not greet , asked if we need a drink , nothing. It seems like we were bothering her as she was busy working on her school assignments. I enjoy staying at this property but without any changes made you will loose a regular client, as i travel to the Island VERY often. Thank you

We stayed here for three days. Things we liked: - stunning ocean views - sound of the water crashing against the rocks - infinity pools - affordable food and drinks. Generally everything tasted great for prices that are half what you will pay in Negril. Things we didn’t like: - the bed was not very comfortable (too firm) - the check-in process. The front desk staff seemed bored and disinterested. We were given no instructions other than “this is the door key and this is the safe key.” - our room was hot and stuffy when we arrived. We turned the AC on and waited a couple hours for it to cool. - the floor is tile, which was great, but was not properly cleaned after the previous guests. Ants led us to find a small pile of food in the corner of the room. - morning room service was advertised, but our order (placed via WhatsApp as instructed) was never acknowledged. We ended up walking down to pick up our order to bring back to our room. - the restaurant does not open until 8am. Which means no coffee until 8am! - barking dogs at night (we think they were from the property next door). - crabs everywhere. At first we were entertained and amused, but soon they became annoying. They are on the sidewalks, in the pools, and one even touched my bare toes while eating dinner outside. Overall I rate our stay an 8 out of 10. This was our first visit to Jamaica and perhaps we had too high of expectations for what a 4-star resort would be.

Staff severely requires training but the owners are at fault. Bar staff ignores you until you ask for service, rooms only get cleaned if you request, water gets turned off throughout the day, cab drivers don’t like to drive here past 10pm because of the location and conditions of road, etc.

The WestenderInn is a beautiful property in the west end of Negril. I stayed there for only one night and it was great. The property has everything you need for your stay. It's right by the ocean where you can watch the majestic Negril sunset. The food was great, the staff amazing, and it's in a quiet neighbourhood. Not all the cabins come with AC, some with only a fan so it can be very hot so be mindful of that.

This location is about 2 hours from Montego Bay but very quiet and small. Only 24 rooms and the ones on the ocean side of the road are spacious with large balconies or patios. The staff were very friendly and everyone asked if there was anything you needed. The food and drinks were inexpensive and good. The free shuttle to sister property at Whistling Bird was the highlight as this allowed access to Seven Mile Beach. We spent most days there but loved coming back to our quiet ocean view room for the evenings. There is not much close to the Inn so plan on eating most meals at the restaurant on site. The coffee was the best we ever had! The bed was very comfortable and we slept well to the sound of the ocean every night.

Loved my stay at the Westender! I was fortunate enough to meet the owners while staying there. Loved having pools to choose from! The staff was friendly. One thing to keep an eye on: they are economical rooms which means no AC, I made this mistake but they were able to move us after the first night and were very nice about it.

When I saw this place on Expedia, the beach and pool view captured me so I booked it for couple days.Check in at the front desk was a breeze. Upon entering the deluxe room with kitchen, it did not look like the pictures. Very outdated! They have rusty pots and one of the pots was not even washed they put it under the cabinet with oil still in it. Next there were no dish cloth to wash the dishes, the Wi-Fi sucks, there is no water pressure from the shower, check out day we could not take a shower because there was no water coming from the shower. we have to keep flushing the toilet for stuff to go down, no broom, no mop, no iron. We called the front desk to ask for an iron. One guy came and knock on the door just to check if we really did not have an iron, are you kidding me! I will give 4 stars for the pool. Just rest assure the pool is actually saltwater from the beach water. But it does have one pool that’s actually chlorine. Since we were only staying 2 days we did not bother to say anything because we did not want to be label as annoying guess.

We had a great stay at the Westender! This was our second time staying here and we had a wonderful, relaxing time. The staff was always very friendly and helpful, the food was good, and we felt safe and well taken care of. Our room was great although there were some drawer handles missing which meant there were several dresser drawers that we couldn't use. Once we were unpacked it didn't bother us much, but could stand to be fixed. We used and loved all the pools. The sea pools were great when they were clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Room was book for 5 people. Arrived and there was only bedding for 4. Went to front desk to ask about this but was told I should have requested an extra bed. There was nowhere while making the reservation that it said I would have to request an extra bed. The room just said sleeps 5. I was told an extra bed would be delivered to the room, so went for dinner and came back and there was no bed delivered. The next morning before leaving for the day, I went back to the office and complained about not receiving the bed the night before. I was told someone would delivery the bed while we were out. Came back late that night and no bed was in the room and the office staff was gone for the night. Therefore for the 2 nights we were there my husband and 2 of our kids had to sleep in one bed. This was very inconvenient, uncomfortable, and disappointing.

Dan the owner, Tino, Raheem, Natty and Natasha all took amazing care of us and we were given excellent suggestions by them all. The drivers were fantastic. It’s a little off the beaten path but they made it super easy to get around. We enjoyed being out of the way of the hustle and bustle and the security of the property. Loved our stay!

The Westender Inn is truly a gem in Jamaica. It’s quiet, peaceful and well-maintained. The staff here treat guests as family and go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a memorable stay. Communication prior to arrival is prompt and comforting. You know that you’re in good hands and will be looked-after. My arrival transfer was arranged through the hotel and the driver met me at Montego Bay Airport with a smile. The drive to the hotel felt like a private tour as the driver proudly told me about Jamaica and the sights along the way. Check-in was seamless, and also met with a warm smile. I knew already I had chosen the right property for me, but the warmth I was shown reaffirmed that. My room was also clean, quiet and comfortable. It was perfect for my weekend getaway. Lunch and dinner can be taken right on the water’s edge, and the menu boasts a collection of local favourites (the fried chicken is a must!) The servers are kind, the food is delicious and the views are just unbeatable. Breakfast is in a more secluded side in the garden, and is equally tasty. The pools are also well-maintained and a real treat for those wanting to cool off. The pools are also perfectly positioned for those wishing to catch the sunset. Transfers into town are seamless, and such a bonus for guests without cars. I found them to be an efficient way to enjoy the local area. Overall, I 100% recommend the Westender Inn for those wanting an authentic Jamaican holiday.

We have stayed in many hotels in Negril since 2015 and this is our favorite. It’s so nice. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff are friendly helpful, courteous and offer exceptional service. Our meals (breakfast and dinner) were delicious and plentiful. Big ups to the staff , the wonderful chefs and especially Parchie for his outstanding bar and restaurant service, music choices and great company. The staff was fabulous! From check in to check out we felt taken care of . The location makes for great snorkeling and got to see an abundance of sea life. The food at the restaurant is delicious for lunch, dinner and a hearty breakfast before heading out to excursions. Our stay at the Westender inn is one of my best vacations.

I liked how quiet it was. I did not like that the staff, mostly the evening bartender, did not want to be bothered with us. The gentleman during the day was nice. Our air in the room went out everyday making it hard to sleep especially since we could not open the windows.

If you enjoy peace and quite, with only the sound of waves crashing on the cliffs, then this property is for you. The property is lovely and tucked back on the FAR west end of the island. You can sit or swim with ocean waves crashing nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are separate menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Towels are available for the pool. FAR is emphasized, because you won't be able to walk to any grocery stores, beaches, or off-site restaurants. That said, there is a free shuttle that goes into town (Whistling Bird on 7-Mile beach) three times a day. The drivers are friendly and super helpful. You can also schedule paid trips where needed. There is also parking if you have a car.

This is a good place to come to get away from everything else. It is some way out of Negril and even the other areas of the cliffs. It is well kept and managed. The food is good but the menu is limited, and you are likely to want a change of sceen for evenjngs if you 're here for more than ca couple of nights. The shuttle service is useful, but limited, itvgoes to the whistling bird at the beach, anywhere else is charged. The cost of transport mounts up unless you drive yourself. The pools here are good and its relaxing, but don't expect to s wim in the sea here, if there is any amount of swell it's too dangerous, you'd be cut to ribbons on the rocks. We were here for 4 days and there was always swell. Overall a nice quiet place to relax for a few days at a reasonable price.

This hotel is a little far away from everything else, which initially had me skeptical. But I have to say that this was a magnificent property. Great food and drink options at reasonable prices. The free shuttle was very helpful. It goes to 7 mile beach three times daily. If you want to stop somewhere on the way like Rick’s or a convenient store, they are very casual about it. The employees are very enthusiastic and helpful, and the owner was fantastic, very involved in the guest experience. I would recommend this property to anyone.

The property is quiet and secluded with a nice selection of pools to cool off in when the sea is rough. The staff is friendly and helpful. The staff was quick to respond to our requests and when we found the full kitchen in our room didn't have some of the things we needed it was taken care of immediately.

The Westender is a perfect retreat from the hustle & bustle of city life. Located in a remote area of Negril, it is off the beaten path in the midst of beautiful greenery, ocean views, and peace. The food was fresh & flavorful, staff were professional, and the hotel grounds were extremely serene. They also offer an area shuttle which was extremely helpful when wanting to explore the surrounding areas. If you're looking for stress-free, basic stay, this is the spot for you. The one thing to note is that while it technically 85 mins from the airport, if you do a shared transfer, it can take 2-3 hours. Worth it in my opinion, but would've been nice to know in advance. All-in-all, it was a great experience and I'd recommend them.

If you want off the beaten path, THIS is the place! Absolutely GORGEOUS views and sunsets, four swimming pools, your choice of several different types of accommodations to fit any budget, great breakfast and dinner, and close to downtown Negril. Use Waze to find it! Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer!

Then you have to pay basically $40 (2ppl) for a trip into town to eat somewhere else. They do have a free shuttle that will take you to a sister property on 7 mile beach. Breakfast was good, burger, tuna sandwich and jerk chicken sandwich was good as well. I guess I should have done more research, it’s just to remote and not all the staff was helpful. This was our 4th trip to Negril and our usual spots were full so we know and love the area. My suggestion to make your stay here better, rental car, bring snacks and keep your water bottle so you can refill it and keep in mini fridge. Buy duty free liquor and make a day using their free shuttle to 7 mile. Walk to beach, find the Patty man, barter for gifts and search for shells yourself-they are in waist deep water. Have the grounds keeper at the sister property Whistling Bird to clean your shells. At the Westender bring your pool floats and snorkeling stuff

Amazing stay. Beautiful grounds amd salt water pools. Very courteous staff especially the grounds people security and the house men. Will definitely be returning. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Have a happy hour every day.

I loved that the property it was quite peaceful and clean 😌 the sound of the sea 🌊 the view priceless, staffing was awesome 👌 only con was that as a jamaican we would love to have whole fish and our local authentic meal .we are tired of foreign style food..

Pro’s: food is good, not crowed, view is amazing of water crashing into the rocks, bonfire and music on Sunday and staff try there best to accommodate. Cons: You don’t get the room you paid for, it is conveniently blamed on a problem with “Expedia” not them. No snacks to purchase, only breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bar opens at 12:00 pm and closes at 11:00 pm The property is NOT beachfront. No activities just excursions. Checkout opens at 8:00 am, if you have an early flight you’re basically screwed. The accounting upon checkout is inefficient, the world has computers for this reason. No vending machines onsite, which is a problem because this is not all inclusive, between 11pm-8am there is NO FOOD OR WATER TO PURCHASE. The menu does not change and is very limited. The Sunday buffet is some of the same items from the menu, but if you don’t want the buffet you’re screwed again because the restaurant is closed. Fried chicken tastes exactly like Popeye’s, yuk! Probably came from there since they have a Popeye’s 10 minutes away by car.

The Westender Inn is truly a gem in Jamaica. It’s quiet, peaceful and well-maintained. The staff here treat guests as family and go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a memorable stay. Communication prior to arrival is prompt and comforting. You know that you’re in good hands and will be looked-after. My arrival transfer was arranged through the hotel and the driver met me at Montego Bay Airport with a smile. The drive to the hotel felt like a private tour as the driver proudly told me about Jamaica and the sights along the way. Check-in was seamless, and also met with a warm smile. I knew already I had chosen the right property for me, but the warmth I was shown reaffirmed that. My room was also clean, quiet and comfortable. It was perfect for my weekend getaway. Lunch and dinner can be taken right on the water’s edge, and the menu boasts a collection of local favourites (the fried chicken is a must!) The servers are kind, the food is delicious and the views are just unbeatable. Breakfast is in a more secluded side in the garden, and is equally tasty. The pools are also well-maintained and a real treat for those wanting to cool off. The pools are also perfectly positioned for those wishing to catch the sunset. Transfers into town are seamless, and such a bonus for guests without cars. I found them to be an efficient way to enjoy the local area. Overall, I 100% recommend the Westender Inn for those wanting an authentic Jamaican holiday.

The property is beautiful. We had a great view of the ocean from our bed. Dinner was amazing and drinks from the bar. The staff was lovely, welcoming, and very helpful. Our overall stay was just amazing. Views of the ocean from every corner of the property was breathtaking. The grounds were well kept. Looking forward to my next visit!!

I loved my stay at the Westender. The property is gorgeous, serene, and secluded. I enjoyed the salt pools and swimming in the ocean. The sunsets were beautiful. The staff were courteous and informative. The on site reataurant offers delicious and convenient meals.

We have stayed in many hotels in Negril since 2015 and this is our favorite. It’s so nice. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff are friendly helpful, courteous and offer exceptional service. Our meals (breakfast and dinner) were delicious and plentiful. Big ups to the staff , the wonderful chefs and especially Parchie for his outstanding bar and restaurant service, music choices and great company. The property was unique and beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. There were plenty of places to lounge or sit by the many salt water pools overlooking the ocean. Lots of area to walk with pretty flowers and birds. Excellent breakfast and the dinners we ate there were good. Shuttle drivers friendly and can go to Whistling Bird on Seven Mile Beach for free. Cabin 7 with 2 bedrooms, good beds, a/c and tvs in each room, kitchen and living room was perfect for 2 friends (or could be for 2 couples). We would have liked to see some sort of tuck shop with snacks, sunscreen etc. because the property is not near shopping.

The staff was fabulous! From check in to check out we felt taken care of . The location makes for great snorkeling and got to see an abundance of sea life. The food at the restaurant is delicious for lunch, dinner and a hearty breakfast before heading out to excursions. Our stay at the Westender inn is one of my best vacations.
