The hotel is going under Reservations so the lobby area was kind of a mess of stacked boxes and construction materials. The entry of the side street is very understated. Almost missed. But I will tell you that I had a room with a balcony that looked straight at the Acropolis and it was spectacular.

Overall the hotel is very nice. Some of the rooms and their rooftop restaurant have an amazing view of the Acropolis. However it is very noisy and what we didn’t know is the restaurant plays very loud music all evening and into the early morning. When you have an early flight it doesn’t allow for much sleep time.

Perfect location to be close to the Plaka and other central Athens locations like the fish/meat market. Friendly and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast with variety of options. Rooms are modern, clean and spacious. Rooftop bar and restaurant has a phenomenal view and food and drink were exceptional. The music is a bit loud for the hotel rooms below. Overall, we loved it and would stay again.

Loved tye hotel. The rooftop bar food was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner there. It has a beautiful view of the Acropolis and the city. The staff is EXCELLENT. They arranged transportation to and from airport. Room was updated and modern and very clean. Small boutique hotel in the heart of everything.

Great staff, checked us in early from a long flight. The room was spacious, bed and pillow comfortable. Walkable to everything! No car needed. The rooftop had great coffee and drinks. The breakfast buffet was also delicious.

This property was right in the center of the downtown square! Conveniently located for walking around, shopping, & restaurants. The view of the Acropolis from our room was stunning, & the hotel bar & 360 restaurant (their sister hotel across the street) had great food & drinks.

Location of this hotel is amazing. We were given a front suite that had an amazing view of the Acropolis. However, with this hotel comes a lot of noise, as it is in a very crowded area with many locals and tourists enjoying themselves at all hours. The roof top bar and restaurant are very nice and have amazing views for the sunset and any time viewing!

It was such a great location . The rooms were clean and the view we had from our windows of the Parthenon were breath taking. Everything seemed extremely well kept and a remodel was still taking place of the kitchen . We did have to go across the street to have breakfast but it wasn’t that inconvenient. The only complaint was the elevator was so small that basically only 1 person or 2 could fit. Again it was centrally located and was so close to the acropolis, plaka and right outside was the hop on hop off bus

Mauvais points : Très mauvaise isolation phonique intérieure et extérieure et donc très bruyant (boules Quies fortement conseillées) Très mauvaise literie (maux de dos au réveil 😩 ! Propreté très moyenne (l’aspirateur n’a pas dû être passé sous le lit depuis plusieurs semaines au vu de la couche de poussière !)

This place was pretty amazing. The staff is super friendly and can arrange anything you’d like, from taxi’s to tours. The place was clean, the AC worked, the view was amazing, the breakfast was 5 stars. The breakfast alone was worth the price. Plus the location was central to everything, amazing food all around you, bars, flea market, whatever you wanted. Recommend this place if you’re looking to stay in Athena for any amount of time. Please be sure to get the breakfast.

Property is located right next to the Monastiraki Metro Station which is super convenient if you plan on using the metro. There is a roof top bar which is great to view the Acropolis. My only dislike is the smell of the room, very unpleasant.

Great small hotel. Clean, very small elevators typical of European cities. Our family room was spacious with nice lay out. Although we didn’t have a good view from our windows, the rooftop view is spectacular whatever time of day. Their breakfast buffet was good. Their dinner options were also good. Though lots of dining options around because the location is central!!!

Room was good but bathroom is very small considering I booked a suite (in their words second best room type). There is no counter in the bathroom sink I had no place to put staff I need to use. Breakfasts were very good.

The room had great views! Very comfortable bed! Great shower! You cant find a better location. Its right across from tge train station and in the middle of ruins, resturants and shops. The rooftop resturant has amazing views and good food! I would go back.

We stayed in the junior suite rooms, and the view was breathtaking. The hotel’s location is excellent, close to all major attractions and within walking distance. It has an amazing rooftop bar and restaurant. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Beautifully remodeled rooms, well appointed, great views. Perfect location for what we wanted. Monastiraki square right across the street, all the shopping and restaurants you could want. All the Hop on/Hop off tours had a stop right there. And a 15 minute walk to the Acropolis main entrance. Only criticism, the fire/smoke alarms had a very bright flashing light on them that was directly over the bed, very distracting to sleep with.

An older refurbished building. Our room was the top floor room with a full balcony. Right across the street from the busy square. There are 3 patio doors to the room that do a great job of making the room very quiet… The room also has a smallish hot tub on the balcony, it fits two people and was nice at the end of the day.

Our room was surprisingly spacious and quiet for being right in the middle of busy Athens. I slept well. The super highlight is the bar / breakfast area on the top floor where your door looking over the square and right to the Acropolis. Breathtaking. The main things to see are all walkable, and a metro stop is right there for getting to other parts of the city, including the port and airport.

Our trip had started almost 24 hours before we checked in. The hotel had the room ready long before their official check in time and allowed us to check in as soon as we arrived (exhausted with no sleep in 24 hrs). Also, the morning of the check out, we had a very early departure, before their breakfast schedule, they were so kind that prepared a couple of (breakfast) boxes for us to take; that was on their own initiative. They reply to our emails quick. Personal very good. The view from the roof top terrace to the Acropolis is excellent.

Upon arrival we were treated with friendly and quick staff. Our room was very spacious and clean. We had 3 water bottles in room waiting for us. Breakfast had good variety and was delicious. Croissants, sausages, veggies, eggs, and more. The area itself is right across the metro. A few stores, coffee shops and lots of souvenir shops. When we were checking out, we had to leave quite earlier to catch a train and the hotel had prepared breakfast to go bags for us. That was so thoughtful! Would love to stay here longer. Also there are 2 pharmacies literally around the corner which was great because we needed some forgotten stuff from home. Really recommended staying here. Oh and they're rooftop bar where you have your breakfast is upstairs where it over looks the city and Acropolis!! Breathtaking view!

I recommend this hotel. Generally speaking, services were very good (especially the afternoon front desk man-- the young guy with gray hair). However, I find worth mentioning that the lady servicing in the breakfast area was below average.

Great staff - everyone we talked to at the property were pleasant and very helpful. We booked a quadruple and with the renovation, we were moved to their sister hotel which was just next door, and we were escorted over to check in. We arrived in the morning and we were already allowed to checkin which is a great convenience, letting us rest and change before going around. The hotel is by the square with flea market. The Acropolis and museum are walking distance. We had fun going around the flea market, seeing some of the ruins around Acropolis, and had a lot of dining options.

The location is excellent, just next to the metro station and right in the middle of a very lively area. However the entrance is very small and at first I was not even sure if it was a hotel. There were a lot of people going in and out because of the rooftop bar upstairs so I did feel a bit concerned about security. Solo female travellers might want to be extra cautious. The room was spacious and comfortable. I saw online reviews mentioning noise at night since the area is busy but I did not hear anything during my stay. One of the best surprises was that the shampoo and shower gel were from Korres. If there had been conditioner too it would have been perfect. Breakfast is served at another hotel which makes the process a bit complicated. You have to cross the street and walk up a set of stairs to find the restaurant. That said the view of the Acropolis from the breakfast area is a nice bonus. The food itself was average and nothing very special. I expected more local Greek dishes but there were not many. Loved tye hotel. The rooftop bar food was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner there. It has a beautiful view of the Acropolis and the city. The staff is EXCELLENT. Great property in the center of the action with great views of the Parthenon. In fact, we walked from the Acropolis down to the hotel in a little over 30 minutes. Syntagma Square is less than a 15 minute walk. Being across the street from Monastiraki Square, it is a busy and loud area - but in a good way if you like the urban vibe. If you want low-key, quiet and relaxing, this is not the area for you. Lots of restaurants all around, metro station just steps away, flea market, shops and stores all right there. Hop-on/off bus across the street. Restaurant/bar on upper floors offers incredible views. Nice breakfast served up there if you stay at hotel. Staff is super-helpful (thank you Alex for all your tips). Great place for a couple days immersed in the beating heart of the city. We visited in mid/late April and enjoyed it immensely.

Location of this hotel is amazing. We were given a front suite that had an amazing view of the Acropolis. However, with this hotel comes a lot of noise, as it is in a very crowded area with many locals and tourists enjoying themselves at all hours. The roof top bar and restaurant are very nice and have amazing views for the sunset and any time viewing!

Fantastic selection of excellent restaurants and nite life within walking distance. Very clean and well maintained hotel room & properly. Amazing breakfast buffet! Excellent location! Right off the Monastiraki Station (Metro Subway Blue line 3 from the airport) Walking distance to shopping, dining, and sight-seeing locations. I highly recommend the A for Athens Hotel to anyone staying in Athens. The staff will help you when you want to go somewhere. They provide taxi service if needed. The only problem I had was the very small lift (aka elevator), which I have often experience in many places in Europe: only two people at a time, three if they are all thin enough to fit.

The hotel is in a decent location near the ancient Agora, but it shows its age badly. Our room was just basic and the immediate area was dumpy with cracked and sloping narrow sidewalks which my wife and I almost fell down on several times. The hallway outside our room stank. The restaurant service was nonexistent. Our hostess and server never responded to our requests for a meal and we eventually just left. It seemed as if we did not even exist. The best thing and only great thing about this place was the front desk staff, who were extremely helpful and friendly. They were great!

Great small hotel. Clean, very small elevators typical of European cities. Our family room was spacious with nice lay out. Although we didn’t have a good view from our windows, the rooftop view is spectacular whatever time of day. Their breakfast buffet was good. Their dinner options were also good. The view of the Acropolis from the rooms was amazing. The rooms were very spacious as well compared to what you typically get overseas. Also, the rooftop bar /restaurant was a nice on property bonus. Their breakfast buffet was one of the best we have ever had. The location was very walkable to shopping, attractions, and entertainment options. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay.

Perfect location to explore the sights of the city. Right next to the markets, restaurants, rooftop bars and Hadrian’s Library. The Metro Station and hop on/hop off bus stop is literally across the street. Perfect view of the Acropolis and Parthenon overlooking the area. Very good service from the hotel staff and the room was immaculately clean. I reserved a suite and the room was nice and modern with lots of space. Unfortunately the rooftop restaurant/bar was closed for renovations but the hotel arranged for breakfast at a sister hotel next door. Overall I would rate my experience 10/10!
