Great location! Gorgeous, spacious loft with all of the amenities. Washer and dryer was on the same floor as unit ( very convenient), but bring your own pods. We were in the renovated loft in a separate building. Just be advised if you are in a seperate building and have mobility issues ( there is no elevator). The main building has an elevator, gorgeous lobby and rooftop terrace! Highly recommend this hotel.

The valets are excellent, lugging our two big pieces of luggage up several flights of stairs to our lofts. The loft was clean and spacious, close to all amenities Old Montreal has to offer. We walked everywhere. The neighborhood is right off a main area; however our room was quite protected from any noise. The front desk were friendly and courteous. I would stay at either the lofts or try their main hotel the next time I visit

Great location in an amazing city. Loft apartment was quiet, comfortable and provided outstanding facilities including a fully equipped kitchen. The hotel staff was superb. The adjacent restuarant Gaspar was a welcome and delicious respite after a long day.

It is Valet parking @ $42/ daily , but worth it. Driving is a challenge in Montreal but plenty of public transportation & very walkable to many eateries. Staff is very personable & Top Notch.Will be back

Even though we knew there would be steps… we did not bargain for 57 of them to our loft. We read that the floors were creaky and the walls thin… that is an understatement. The loft was not overly clean and the bed was a marshmallow… very soft. Our tv was a problem with multiple visits from handyman. I must say the staff was very friendly. This should come as no surprise, other guests support these claims. Response from hotel said they would try and look into these issues… guess they are not concerned with guests comfort. Bottled water in room would have been welcomed after all those steps!

The Lofts were an annex building just around the corner of the main Auberge du Vieux Port which we actually preferred in terms of location. We were just feet away from the main walking street Rue St. Paul so shopping, dining and people watching were at our doorstep. The building itself also was also home to Vieux-Port Steakhouse where they served breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food and cocktails were excellent and the vibe was always fun and friendly.

The Lofts du Vieux-Port are 2 blocks away from the Auberge du Vieux Port (it has a rooftop bar with a lovely view of the waterfront) which is where you check in. Staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful, including help carrying luggage to our rooms and booking a cab to take our party to the train station when we departed. Our room was a studio apartment w/ a small kitchenette. The accommodations were wonderful - clean; bed was quite comfortable; bathroom clean with a wonderful shower(!). Location is excellent, heart of Old Montreal and walking distance to restaurants, waterfront, museums and other sites (including shopping if that is your thing - not ours!).

Belle grande chambre seulement la ménagère pourrais pensée à épousseter les moulures, laver les taches de doigts sur (les meubles, appareilles ménager, portes d'armoire et mur de la cuisinette.) Aussi même si la chambre sentait bonne; surtout dans la salle de bain j'aurais aimé que cela sente le désinfectant.

We loved the loft - excellent location in Old Montreal. Steps from shopping, dining, churches, museums. The room was spacious with an excellent bed, amazing shower, and perfectly functioning A/C that was also sonically unobtrusive (if you're a light sleeper like me, this is wonderful). We also liked the clean, modern decor.

The loft itself was nice, much as pictured on the website, and the staff were very helpful. Several things were not working when we arrived, so the first impression wasn’t great, but they were quickly fixed. The bed was much too soft, way beyond the normal range for hotel mattresses, which made it uncomfortable and we slept poorly. If you prefer a firmer mattress, avoid this location. Finally, be aware that the Old Port area is very lively and touristy: lots of cheap souvenirs and partying, and the streets can get very crowded. Not the hotel/loft’s fault, but it’s really in a party zone and the restaurant beneath the lofts was loud (including a lot of furniture-moving) into the night. The lofts looked nice and the staff were excellent when we needed them, but we did not have a relaxing break.

We loved the loft. We were on the top floor in the back of the building so it was not loud. Tons of space, recently renovated, very comfortable bed, amazing shower. The old wooden floor looks great, but creaks A LOT when you walk around (wouldn't want to be on lower floors and listen to all that!). All the stairs to walk up to the top floor are a workout - this should be stated more clearly (and that there is NO elevator!). We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Check in was friendly and easy; it is at the Auberge hotel and they carried our luggage to the lofts across the street. We stayed in 706. Location was perfect for touring old town. Room was very clean but the furniture is getting tired. Stained sofa, big dip in mattress. We booked for kitchen and extra space and we received that. Good glasses and dishes. Wifi was spotty to non-existent. We had to use our data or hop on the steakhouse wifi. Also, if you are sensitive to noise, we had a family above us and the children sounded like running buffalo above. If you get lucky and have adults, you will just hear them walking across the floor but it’s manageable. If someone is loud it could ruin a stay. No street noise with the windows closed. We were out most of the time, but if I had to work in, I would have had to request a new room. For this reason, I would choose different accommodation next time unless they could guarantee a top floor.

We stayed in one of the smaller lofts and it was absolutely fabulous. They're renovated enough to give the lofts a modern, clean feel, but retained the old Montreal exposed brick style. We were amazed by how quiet the room was. Beds/pillows are very comfortable, and the bathroom was amazing. My partner loved having the big soaker/jet tub, and I enjoyed sitting at our window with a glass of wine watching the life on the streets below. The staff was courteous and the valets helped us with our bags. 10/10 recommend!

Tolle Lage, direkt am Hafen, alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Loft war riesig und war extrem gut ausgestattet, Bett war sehr komfortabel. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Einzig der Boden ist sehr laut (knarzen) sodass man das Nachbarzimmer stark hört.

Each of the lofts are priced the same, regardless of size. I was in a small loft - it had a small bathroom (with only a walk-in shower) and a half-sized kitchenette (2-burner stovetop and half-sized fridge). My sister was randomly in one of the large corner-unit lofts - it had a large bathroom with both a walk-in shower and large soaking tub, and a full-sized kitchenette (4-burner stovetop and full-sized fridge). When I asked why I was being charged the same price for 2 very different units, I was told that all of the lofts are priced the same, and they refused to discount the smaller room. BEWARE!!! If you want to get your money's worth, call ahead of your arrival and request one of the larger corner lofts (with the bathtub!). There are only 3 of them! Otherwise, you're getting scammed out of your money.

The Lofts du Vieux-Port are 2 blocks away from the Auberge du Vieux Port (it has a rooftop bar with a lovely view of the waterfront) which is where you check in. Staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful, including help carrying luggage to our rooms and booking a cab to take our party to the train station when we departed. Our room was a studio apartment w/ a small kitchenette. The accommodations were wonderful - clean; bed was quite comfortable; bathroom clean with a wonderful shower(!). Location is excellent, heart of Old Montreal and walking distance to restaurants, waterfront, museums and other sites (including shopping if that is your thing - not ours!).

We were supposed to arrive very late Thursday evening (09/21/23). The entire stay was already paid for. I spoke with the hotel staff on Thursday and made sure they could set up the extra bed and give extra towels to us for the room in which they responded they would have the room made up for us upon arrival. We missed our flight Thursday night due to a family emergency and arrived early Friday morning. When we arrived we were told they gave our room away (which was paid for in full) and that we could not check in until the next room became available. Luckily for us, by Friday afternoon there was a room for us but that doesn’t justify the fact that I paid hundreds of dollars for my room Thursday night which they double booked and gave to someone else and DID not refund me the money for that night. I’m not sure how it works in Canada, but in America if you've prepaid for your room, it is guaranteed and the hotel must give you the room you paid for, even if you show up late or they refund you the money for that night.

From the minute we pulled in to the valet parking space in front of the hotel, we were treated so kindly and well! We stayed at the Auberge 25 years ago, and this time at the Lofts, and it far exceeded even our great expectations. The room was beautiful and large, the shower amazing, great little kitchen (even though we chose to go to all three of the houses hotel restaurants for breakfast, dinner and drinks.) The old port is so vibrant and fun, perfect jumping off point for our sunset boat cruise and nearby waterfront spa, Bota Bota. Can’t wait to come again! Such the perfect Montreal weekend.

The valets are excellent, lugging our two big pieces of luggage up several flights of stairs to our lofts. The loft was clean and spacious, close to all amenities Old Montreal has to offer. Cons: if you drive your own car here, although staff will help you park in their spot and will drive your vehicle to your place when needed(they will charge for parking), still feel inconvenient and traffic not easy. If you are easily awake by tiny sound, you may not have a good sleep.

Non stop boom-boom-boom from nearby restaurants' music... we were offered a higher loft, but the hassle to move didn't seem worth it. The location is in the heart of old Montreal, the lobby is nice. The bed was excellent. But if you are sensitive to noise, even low level volume but with persistent bass from noon to midnight, you may want to stay somewhere several blocks away.

Great location in Old Port. Convenient to the metro. In the heart of major tourist area, so there was a little noise at night, one should be prepared for that. However, the off property lofts were very spacious, and the kitchenette proved to be a good amenity to our stay. We would choose this property again.

We loved the loft - excellent location in Old Montreal. Steps from shopping, dining, churches, museums. The room was spacious with an excellent bed, amazing shower, and perfectly functioning A/C that was also sonically unobtrusive (if you're a light sleeper like me, this is wonderful). We also liked the clean, modern decor.

Great bar and restaurant Gaspar in the main hotel building. Our loft was a couple blocks from the main hotel, which was unexpected. Also unexpected was a substantial “departure” charge. The lofts are not in the same building as the hotel but are spacious and give you the feel of a private apartment. We enjoyed the space and would recommend to others. Note that they are located above a restaurant so there is some ambient noise while it is open.

The Lofts were an annex building just around the corner of the main Auberge du Vieux Port which we actually preferred in terms of location. We were just feet away from the main walking street Rue St. Paul so shopping, dining and people watching were at our doorstep. The building itself also was also home to Vieux-Port Steakhouse where they served breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food and cocktails were excellent and the vibe was always fun and friendly.

This has been one of the best places I think we have ever stayed. We arrived absolutely exhausted from our travel and before we were fully checked in, they had our bags taken across to our room. The house restaurant staff was so accommodating. I will visit the city just to stay here again!!

Was notified of no elevator, but it was 60 stair steps up. When we asked for a bellman to help us with our bags on the way up, that was fine. On the way down nobody showed. A local helped us get our bags down. Lots of creaky floor and thin walls where we could hear noise from two different adjoining rooms. Smoke alarm less than 10 inches from the heat vent set off the alarm which maintenance had to disconnect during our stay.
