Clean grounds with beautiful winding tropical garden paths leading to cottages, tiki hut with live music in the evening, and a taco truck with authentic Mexican fare welcomed us. Friendly staff and clean, well-maintained grounds. A bonus for us was a resident cat. It felt like home.

Cute little cottages, all painted in a bright color. Grounds are kept clean and manicured. There is a small Tiki bar that was fun, drinks very inexpensive. No pool. Only c/o is that cabins that are adjoined have no insulation, so you can hear your neighbor. Luckily, ours went to bed by 11pm, but I could foresee an issue if you got a bad neighbor. No breakfast, but free coffee at the Tiki bar.

Great location. Loved being on the canal. TV didn't work. No one could fix it. Fans only operated with lights on; therefore, no fans at night. Hole in screen. Kayaks there but not allowed to use them. Spacious. Kitchen could have used wine glasses, corkscrew, dish soap and rag. Food truck was good! Charming old Florida.

The tiki was never open for service. The food truck never opened for service. The beach area was not a swimming area, looked like a dumping ground. The cottage was nice and the air conditioning worked awesomely. If you are looking for just a place to sleep this is not bad.

you get what you pay for. The cottage I stayed in was old, floors were un even, sofa bed was terrible and dirty, had dirt and hair on it. bedroom was small and cozy. I was hoping for more based on the reviews. I was a bit disappointed.

My stay was just okay. I would say, I expected better. Pictures look beautiful but I would not recommend the place. There were bugs when I was there, and noticed more in the morning. I didnt feel like it was clean. It had a weird smell. The AC was loud so had to turn it off! There was loud noise at night at multiple occasions and I honestly did not feel safe! I would not stay here again. Check in process is very easy though, and same with check out

Having the tiki bar and food truck on site was great. The cottages were nicely appointed inside. The lack of WiFi in the cottage was a bummer, and we missed having a pool. The automated sign in and check system was not appreciated. It felt like a scold. Please get rid of it.

We arrived late, couldn’t access the cottage, and it took multiple calls and about 20 minutes to finally reach someone. After flying in from North Georgia, we were just hoping for a hot shower, but the hot and cold knobs were reversed and the water pressure was basically nonexistent. We recently stayed here and were disappointed that the unit we were given didn’t match the pictures shown online. The bathroom setup was unexpected and uncomfortable—it had an outdoor toilet with just a shower curtain serving as the door and a shower without roof coverage. The Wi-Fi signal was very poor, making it impossible to watch TV or stay connected. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and responsive, but unfortunately, there were no other units available for us to switch to, so we had to make do with what we were given. The highlight of the stay was the nice tiki bar/taco truck in the back, which had a great vibe. Overall, while there were some good aspects, the misleading online photos and lack of proper indoor amenities left us disappointed.

Thought we would have an individual cottage but it was actually a duplex with some unexpected noise from the other unit on the other side of the inside door. Also surprised that we had to go outside to use toilet/shower--yes, they were sufficiently private, but it was during some of Florida's coldest winter weather and an indoor bathroom would have been preferable.

It would have been nice if they would have told me a head of me arriving that our bathroom was outside!!! We couldn’t take a shower this morning because it was too cold outside. There was no outlet in the bathroom and no mirror in the bedroom. The place was clean with plenty of towels. I only give it a 3 because of the bathroom. I was very disappointed by that. The rest was fine.

The room itself was fine, the walls are so thin that we could hear the folks in the connecting room. They were up past 1am, and were loud. We could hear the TV from next door all night, and was left on all night.

We received our check-in info, with the door code, but it didn't work. No one answered their after-hours number. We left two messages and waited over an hour, but decided to find another place to stay. They have said we'd be reimbursed, but have yet to hear whether that has been processed.

The unit itself is fine, however if you aren\'t staying in the cottages then the property was nearly impossible to find. We spent 45min trying to find it as the address they emailed me was completely different than the actual address of the building(not even the same street). I tried to call the "emergency number" as it was 9:30pm and the office was closed, however no one answered.

I didn’t like the management or lack of Communication. We had problems which were not taken as seriously as they should have been. Deceptive advertising led us to choose a cottage, but we ended up with a room…leaky sink, and complete disregard for customer satisfaction.

Cute property with individual bungalows. The unit we stayed in had a small private garden. Was perfect for travelling with pets. There is an airport close by and the property is on the flight path so it can be intermittently noisy. Like most of the Keys it’s pricy but well worth a stay

Stayed at Tropical Cottages during a bicycle trip with my husband - it was clean, comfortable, and we had all we needed. We accessed the cottage via an app - a link was emailed to us before we arrived. This property has a taco truck and a bar, and when we showed up it was nice to arrive in this upbeat atmosphere! Property is just off of the highway, tucked back on a quiet side street. Hot shower, comfortable bed. I wanted to borrow a hair dryer and though there wasn't one in the room, I called the phone number and a woman arrived at my door with one in seconds. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a truly unique stay extremely private, very quiet. On property there is a tiki bar and taco truck serving wonderful food and great drinks with beer on tap and other choices. We felt very welcome. We sat in the Adirondack chairs outside our cottage, and there's also a private area through the French doors in our cottage, number 2. We arrested in the most comfortable bed. The cottage is well air-conditioned. Eerything about that college is extremely comfortable We had delicious tacos and fabulous drinks the night before. There are a couple of well-cared-for resident kitties on the property who are friendly and the staff was very helpful and attentive.

Such a gem! The Mexican food truck on the property is a 10/10 and the bar is great! Very unique property! If you’re looking for authentic Keys experience this is it! Not an elegant 5 Star Hotel and that’s why we loved it! Clean, comfy and cozy!

Beautiful, quiet, secluded cottages. Very comfortable and clean. Close to everything, just off the main road. The only reason for a 4 rating instead of 5 was that we could never catch anyone at the Tiki Bar or catch the food truck open. Was not that big of a deal for us as we were there for relaxation but drinks at the tiki hut would have been fun one of the nights. I would still HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous property!

Quite possibly the most comfortable bed in the Florida Keys if you enjoy sleeping on a cloud, the room we stayed in was super cool with the sunken living room. The full service bar had excellent drinks on the tacos rock.
