I like the Chalet I like the guy, whom I presume to be the owner. I have stayed here before. But this time I specifically picked a room with 2 beds and a table and 2 chairs that would allow for 2 people to sit and eat. As I had brought a dear friend and already bought some dinner 2 go. We did not get that we got a small room, which I I have stayed in single before; the outlets and the lights have deteriorated even more and in most cases do not work. The door to the bathroom is missing hardware and can not be closed. After dark the property is hard to find because the neon sign out front. which is small to begin with, does not work

You do get what you pay for, so caveat emptor. The rate was cheap, close to where I desired, and had a clean bathtub. They advertised as pet friendly and I would describe the owners as pets tolerable. They charged $50 for two small dogs and they definitely are not dog people. They have an ill tended fenced lawn in front which had trash strewn about and no trash can for disposal of dog poop. The room was better than the exterior of the motel with some decent furniture and new curtains. The bed was comfortable while the pillows felt like flattened soft cardboard. TV, heater and fridge worked fine. Some of the floor moulding was rotting away. The carpets need cleaning. When we checked in in the early evening several sketchy men were loitering and smoking in the parking lot. I was told they were guests. There were cigarette butts throughout the parking lot and trash was strewn about. They have no pride in keeping the property clean. There is an abandoned telephone booth on the property with trash inside. Nearby is a market, Dutch Bros coffee and a convenience store blasting music at deafening levels. The motel is on a very busy commercial street with nicer looking motels nearby. This was a poor choice and I recommend looking elsewhere.
