They did a great job of turning an aging motor inn into a very ‘hip’ and fun spot. The rooms were cute and well furnished. The cantina was hopping— w a live DJ and all. And the outdoor spaces create lots of cozy spots to hang w friends or strangers around the property surrounded by the warm glow of orange lights and fire pits. . The pool was the cherry ontop of my stay-cation.

Really loved the nicely decorated and llarge rooms in this renovated hip motel. The big plus is the heated pool and jacuzzi BUT there was a lot of hair in the pool, which was gross. I think the filter must not be working properly and needs to be fixed ASAP as no one likes to find clumps of hair in their fingers while they’re swimming. Parking can also be a bit tight but there is street parking. Loved that they give you a choice of free drinks when you check in. Overall, great property except for the hair in the pool.

Really nice place. Loved the vibe. Outdoor pool and hot tub were great! And the breakfast burrito food truck was really nice to wake up to and have for the ride up to Mt. Bachelor. Definitely coming back.

Parking is horrible. The carpet was filthy, can’t see it because it’s so dark, but our feet and socks were so dirty. They don’t do housekeeping so you need to ask for clean towels and coffee. Street is loud if you stay by the lobby.

Room was clean when we arrived. However, housekeeping was an item listed in description. What it failed to say that you had to request it. So we went a couple of days without it til we were told to request it. You have to bring your towels to the front desk to exchange. We needed another box of tissues but the front desk didn’t have any. The area is safe and everyone was friendly and courteous. Bend has many food trucks and taco places but not very much to offer above that. There are a few exceptions but the quality of the fare we found to be hit or miss.

Staff members were friendly. There was a homeless camp right next to the hotel. Hotel is next to a grocery store and a pharmacy. Nice bikes to borrow. What we did not like that the floor was very VERY dirty. After showering and walking on the floor, our feet were literally black. And in some places floor was also sticky. It was pretty gross. And the pool wasn't very clean. But the hot tub was alright. Nice big table in the room. Showerhead kept falling.

Pros: The lobby and other shared spaces are cute and have a good vibe. The property is dog friendly, and they even gave our dog treats upon arrival. Staff was nice. Beds were comfortable enough (though they made creaking groans with ever shift). Our room and the counter surfaces throughout were large and practical. Our stay was generally quiet. Parking was free. Cons: The room was tidy but not clean. There was a musty smell in the room, like baby powder covering up animal smells. The carpets were grossly stained. I felt very asthmatic in the room, so much so that I chose to leave day early; I know it was triggered by something in the room because I was fine when we arrived, and it eased up as soon as I left the room. The room needs a thorough, deep cleaning. I've stayed in many other pet friendly rooms that do not have stained carpets and gross smells. It was pretty gross. The bathroom area is dated; the ceiling above the shower had questionable spots on it. I was also super bummed that the Canteen bar was closed. It isn't open Mondays or Tuesdays, apparently. I wish I knew this before booking, as it would have impacted my decision to book the hotel. I wouldn't stay here again.

When we first arrived, we found the refrigerator to be disgusting. Something had exploded or who knows what but it had not been cleaned. The bathroom also was not equipped with hand soap or shower gel-the bottles were empty. So we immediately had to call to get those things addressed. Later on we also noticed the sleeping bag on the bed had gross markings on it. The lighting in the rooms was very poor/dim. There was dog hair in the corners of the room. However, the property itself was funky and fun with a good outdoor space for relaxing. The location of the property was also good. The cleanliness was just not up to par or acceptable.

Very cute themed place. Staff was nice. Snack and mini bar with a ton of things to choose from. Price was cheap, but I suppose you get what you pay for. The bed was like sleeping in a bean bag chair and the box spring was exposed and was very obviously not cleaned in a long time. There was a lot of hair and debris and stains

Pro: Great ambience and decor! Fantastic pool and jacuzzi. However… Cons: Worst shower head and toilet ever! Shower-head was stuck and so high that we all got sprayed in our faces the entire shower (even my tall husband hated it). Got the whole bathroom floor wet too...horrible design. Toilet is from the 70s. Basically the whole bathroom is very dated and barely functional. Would give 10 stars if shower-head situation improved.

I liked campfire, the check in was smooth and when I had problems getting in the front desk was so nice to help me, also getting two free drinks was a nice perks. It can get loud again not a big issue but just be warned if your room is by the pit fire which mines was but again not a big deal, they provide ear plugs. My only issue was the parking with this place that it’s first come and their lot is small so when it busy you’re most likely have to park on the street which isn’t far if you fine it in the same block. Needless to say I would come back regardless of the parking.

Nice upgraded motel. Nice vibe, a lot of young people, not many kids. Design is nice and grounds look good. Rooms are motel-like and could use some upgrades. Overall nice place but not worth the cost.

Property was clean and totally adequate for a couple of nights. Staff desperately lack customer service training and just seemed to not care at all. In particular front desk staff could not be bothered and housekeeping just didn’t happen at all despite being requested three times.

The staff and atmosphere are what made this my "Goto place" for visiting Bend. The girls at the check in counter are about as helpful and courteous as I have ever dealt with, and I travel a lot. Very Reasonable pricing as well. I will definitely recommend to all my friends.

Waited 10 minutes to check in and no one showed up so we just ended up going into town. Came back several hours later and there was not anyone at check in again. This time we waited around 5 minutes and someone did come to check us in but she was not friendly at all.

We needed to bring our puppy for an emergency consult to a Bend surgical group and booked our room at the last minute before driving up from Klamath Falls. We have stayed at the Campfire before and always have had a great experience. This might have been the best in terms of service. I believe it was Stacy who checked us in and made sure our room was in a location that would be easy for taking our 2 Yorkies out. She was so caring and empathetic to our stressful situation. She waived the dog fee for our hurt puppy and even treated my husband and I to a couple of sodas. Our room and bed were very comfortable. This is such a wonderful property! Thanks Stacy!😘

Cool remodeled motel in Bend. Off a busy street, in busy part of town, not walkable to areas you want to spend time. Pool was nice, rooms are comfortable. I think they are charging a hotel price for a motel though.

It was a very nice property, and I loved the pool/hot tube area, fire pit, and bar, however, my first night I had a really hard time finding parking and no one had checked the parking passes yet on cars, and also there are a couple homeless people in the back street of the hotel and at 3am a women was screaming bloody murder. As a solo female travel it made me feel a little unsafe.

Unique, fun property. Renovated motel. Clean, nice. Great outdoor space. Parking lots very tight for a large vehicle. I was able to find street parking. Significant homeless camp behind the motel.

Room comfortable and clean. Parking is terrible due to limited space in parking lots. Homeless camp 1 block away. Desk clerk initially not helpful telling me where to park but eventually she told me to park in a restaurant parking lot. It is a very unique experience. Big campfire every night.

Cute place. It's an old motel style building that they've fixed up and modernized with a camp theme. They have a nice pool, but unfortunately, it was closed due to lightning when we tried to go. We really appreciated the breakfast burrito food truck that was there Sunday morning!

The staff was friendly and accommodating. Quirky, kitschy, and fun environment. Negatives: The cooling system was inefficient and very loud. Also, bed frame needed vacuuming…hair and other debris visible. Lastly, in-room coffee concept…hanging filter thing, was a no-go.
