Everything was great besides the tv. It did not work and would not hook up to the internet. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to have it to chill after a long day.

Friendly staff and they redid the outsides of the cabins which looks very good. Only downside was when I booked I booked in mind with bringing my dogs as I would be traveling with them. Nowhere on the info did it say there was a two dog limit or additional fees. For future reference for other travels it would be helpful to know there is a limit and what the fee is so others can plan accordingly. Another downside was that there are designated parking areas but it didn’t matter because someone else would park there anyways which isn’t the properties fault but just another complication. I recommend this location, the staff was very friendly, and we’d stay here again!

The only thing that needs to chance is there is no cable TV. Everything is streaming and if you don't have an streaming account you are limited to what you can watch. No local stations at all.

We have stayed at Lamplighter many times - some units are better than others. Unit #30 is not as desirable. The parking spot for this unit is very tight. If there’s other vehicles in the adjacent spaces - forget it if you have a truck. There are 2 overflow spots away from the unit & if they’re not full you can park there. The shower doesn’t have good pressure, more water comes out of the tub spout than the shower head and it takes many minutes for the water to get lukewarm. The flooring is cracked in the sleeping area - covered by a throw mat. It was otherwise clean, but probably not worth the $225/night fee. Other units at the Lamplighter have been good, but wouldn’t choose this one again

the only good thing is bed. But internet did not work for the whole afternoon and night, therefore you could not have access not only to the web but also you could not watch TV as it was just streaming (so you needed internet as well) Bathroom is really small, and shower tiny and without a window, so you have a shower in the dark.

Nice little cabin stay. Could have had cleaner floors, but understandable given winter weather…. Walking around barefoot was definitely a no-go. Otherwise convenient and cozy little place. Would stay here again!

The cabin was old and smelly. The chair at the kitchen table was ready to fall apart, we were almost afraid to sit on it, the refrigerator leaked water all over the floor and the top of the headboard was covered in dust. We did however like that parking was by the cabin.

There is a lot of care taken to make this a clean, pleasant place to stay. Detached tiny house cabins means you don't hear your neighbors and the property is clean and we'll maintained.

We stayed four nights and the room was not cleaned once. We had to find housekeeping constantly for trash pick up and towels. The shower was moldy and there were dust bunnies all over the room.

Itsy bitsy rooms. Quaint I suppose but there is a lot in that tiny space. Extremely small shower, and a long wait for the water to get hot.

It's clean and cozy. We did the right choice of picking lamplighter over a hotel. Parking was right outside our unit. It's like living in a tiny home. The bathroom was a good size with a tub. Kitchen had everything we needed to prep our meals with a little dining area. I love that theres a wall that separated the kitchen from the bedroom. It gave me and my husband a peaceful no TV sound interference nook for conversation while our son was watching TV in the bedroom. We were so comfortable in our 2 night stay. We didn't have to eat out. We cooked all our meals in our tiny home at lamplighters in Helena. Plates,utensils,knife,cutting board, cups and glasses even dish soap and scrub is provided. Will definitely stay here again. The beds were comfy. The pillows are excellent. It's really clean. We love it

Great deal for a quick overnight especially if you need room to spread out gear, use a sink/kitchen, etc. All was fine except really soft bed that when the hubs laid on one side, whole bed slanted his way. I slept on the couch. Property is aging but adequate.

Nice little place. These are cabins. Mine was very small. Would have been tight for 2 people. Shower was tiny. If youre a larger person youd get stuck. Bed was old and creaky but seemed ok. 7/10

My cabin was great—clean, good natural light, plenty of privacy, and the character of an older, well-maintained motel. And the location was nice, away from the hustle of the major hotels and within easy walking distance of downtown.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here. We had a bit of trouble with the hot water and once we found someone to address this they were prompt and courteous. The housekeeping left a little to be desired, no tp refills, no paper towels, very little amenities in the cabins to cook or eat with. That being said we would absolutely stay again. Just come prepared to be a bit more independent than one might expect.

Quick and friendly check in. Cabins are very nice, clean and comfortable. Conveniently located near a grocery store and Carroll College, makes a good place to stay for a single night or several. I will come back again.

There are very limited hours that you are able to contact a staff member if you need anything. There was an alarm clock going off in the neighboring room from 5 AM until after we left. We were unable to contact a staff member to go into the neighboring room to turn off that alarm clock which was extremely frustrating. The service would be much better if someone was available or on call to take phone calls of the guests. Also, our room was advertised as a king size on Expedia, but was only a queen size. Supposedly, they have tried to change that, but Expedia has not changed it for them.

It was my own little cabin no shared walls, full kitchen, windows that open to stars in the sky. The bed was comfortable. I asked if the air conditioner could cool the room before I arrived and the staff put it on. I was cool and didn't really need it but it is nice to ask for something and have people respond. The rules are clear and the desk hours with staff are limited. Read the fine print and you will be fine. Amy went above and beyond to help me recover an item I left behind. I hope to stay here again. Great Grocery store with fresh organic juice and salads nearby "Good Food Store." This place was awesome.

This was a great place to stopover for the night. The 1-bedrooms room was very spacious and clean and the king size bed was very comfortable, with another bed in the main living area if you have 4 people. This would be ideal for a couple with 2 kids. We didn’t use the kitchenette facilities but it would have been very nice to have on an extended visit. The checkin was flawless, we received a text telling us of the procedure. This may have been difficult if we didn’t have a US phone plan so an email a couple of days ahead of time with the checkin procedure would be nice as a backup notification for some people who may not have a cell phone. The office was closed when we arrived but there was a number to call on the office window if we had any issues, but we didn’t need to use it. It had the basics for cooking; but seemed very functional if we had used them. We would have no issues returning the next time we’re passing through Helena, excellent value and very nice functional room; nothing fancy but nothing wrong either.

As tourists we really appreciated the binder on the table filled with maps and attractions in the area. The proximity to historic downtown and to so many services was why we chose to stay here and we were super happy with that. The cozy atmosphere to come home to during the day was very much appreciated. When I return to Helena this is where I would stay.
