The suite was amazing!! It was cozy, comfy, and had all the amenities of home, including a full kitchen. We even had our own parking spot and private courtyard with a fire pit and BBQ! I cannot wait to stay here again!

Kate was friendly. Easy check-in. She was very helpful & willing to help if we needed anything. Cute town. We enjoyed our clean suite with a kitchen & our own parking space. The bed was very comfortable & cute decor. We were busy & was not able to use the grill & patio that was available. We would stay again. Thank you for a wonderful couple days away from home!

We stayed here in order to be close to our son at Camp Pendleton. The location was fantastic…lots of places to eat and shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was never a problem. We were very happy with our stay!

Small old school beach hotel. Staff was great. Friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean, simple and small. Seemed pretty humid. Towels were nice but hard to drying out. Had to park on street if place is busy. Owner provided home made cookies for Mother’s Day. Nice touch. Was close to restaurants, grocery store and shops.0w dry gave helpful recommendations. Bagel shop next sire was great

This was a solo trip for 2 days to San Clemente for a much needed break from "real life"! This motel was perfect for my needs - it was quaint, quiet, close to everything and a great home base to come back to each day after exploring San Clemente. The little kitchenette (microwave and fridge along with lots of space to put groceries that I had brought) was exactly what I needed so I could just chill in my room rather than going out for every meal. The Bagel Shack next door was spectacular, and Ralph's grocery was 1 block down. The owners/managers were extremely pleasant and attentive to any needs. I left my car in the parking lot and didn't use it once on this trip as it was convenient to walk everywhere or take the free town trolley. The pier was less than a mile walk through beautiful, quiet neighborhoods, so I did that at sunset both nights! Literally the most relaxing get away I've ever taken!

Very nice little boutique hotel. Great location within walking distance to store, coffee, cafes. Queen rooms very roomy with small bar area, fridge, microwave. No coffee pot but fresh coffee & bagel shop next door. Would return again.

Nothing fancy but it was clean, had parking and was walking distance to some restaurants and the beach. The motel room I stayed in had a microwave and a small refrigerator. The bathroom is a good size but the water in the shower was either really hot or cold, unsteady and changed while I was using it. Obviously I took a quick shower because I couldn’t get the temperature right. Note that if you arrive late, I got there after 10 pm, you’ll need to call the emergency number posted on the door so a person could come and check you in. Convenient location and has parking, offered bare minimum amenities but clean. I prefer to stay at name-brand hotels but this motel was cheap and still had rooms available which I needed last minute.

This hotel is conveniently located near many eateries, stores, freeway, and the action of Del Mar St. it is about a .8 mile walk to the pier which has some steep areas. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Although the location is good there is some street noise coming from the very busy El Camino Real St. snd the walls are thin. The hotel is a bit dated but well kept and clean. There is sufficient parking in front if the rooms.

Amazing little motel! Super clean and spacious. Definitely on the older side, but it doesn’t matter because it’s well taken care of. Location is AMAZING!! It’s a 15 min walk to the beach/pier and 5 minute walk into the main little town! And it’s right next to a Ralph’s and bagel shack for breakfast. Couldn’t have been happier!

Do not stay here. The rooms are not clean. When leaving I picked up my bag and a mouse scurried out from under it and ran under the TV cabinet. In my further investigation I saw rat poison in the corner of the room so they know there is an issue but clearly are not taking the necessary steps to resolve it. Not to mention having rat poison out in pet friendly hotels is a huge hazard. The rooms themselves do not look as they are advertised, they are much worse. There is no fan for the bathrooms causing the rooms get extremely damp. There are brown spots on the ceiling which could be mold. We spent little time in the room so decided to suck it up and stay but seeing the mouse as we were leaving was the nail in the coffin for us.

The staff was polite and attentive. They were accommodating and friendly. Very convenient location to beach and restaurants, markets etc. Regarding our stay, there is room for improvement. The bathroom shower curtain smelled like mildew. We could hear every little noise from the room next door; they should remove door and make it a solid wall, the door is shut and not meant for connecting rooms. It would be nice to have a bedside table on both sides, not just one. Lastly, the frame above the bed needs to be moved higher because we kept bumping our head.

Family owned, which was so lovely. It smelled so clean and fresh as if we were visiting family not a hotel. We didn't like that we had a portable AC cooler in the bathroom facing the bedroom. It also kept turning off and resetting which made the stay inconvenient. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Staff/owners friendly and very helpful with information around town. The trolley ride was fun and super convenient that we were able to get close by.

This motel is an okay place to stay. The pros are that the staff is very nice, the location is great (there’s plenty of restaurants within walking distance and you can walk to the beach if you’re adventurous!), rooms are big, and it’s very quiet and peaceful. The cons are that it wasn’t quite as clean as I’d have liked, the bed was very uncomfortable, parking is limited, there were no room darkening curtains so it was extremely bright at night, and there was no extra lock on the door and no dead bolt which felt quite sketchy considering I, a single woman, stayed here with my daughter. Fix the lock situation and gain a star.

I love that it’s not your cookie-cutter chain motel. Quaint, colourful decor and beautiful succulent plants outside of each room’s private entrances. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodated my unexpected need to check in late. No coffee in the room, but there are lots of cafes nearby, including a great bagel/breakfast place right next door. The mattress was a bit worn out/lumpy but I still slept fine.

If you liked old Route 66 Motels that were a little cute and quaint, this is a good place. Relatively clean, friendly reception, comfortable bed and a clean room with no glitz or glamour. The microwave was on the fridge which was on a small table. The TV was smallish but if that is your deciding factor you won't stay here anyway. If you are high maintenance, go somewhere fancy, if you like a little charm an Americana, stay here. I got the impression that a local family owns this rather than a NYSE Corporation.

Hey, it’s San Clemente where all hotel rates go up. It was what it was. Bed, tv, bathroom. Although the bathroom seriously needs to be updated. The area is why we went there. We walked practically everywhere. It was a bit close to the freeway because we heard the traffic. But for one of the more affordable motels, this did its job.

This was a solo trip for 2 days to San Clemente for a much needed break from "real life"! This motel was perfect for my needs - it was quaint, quiet, close to everything and a great home base to come back to each day after exploring San Clemente. The little kitchenette (microwave and fridge along with lots of space to put groceries that I had brought) was exactly what I needed so I could just chill in my room rather than going out for every meal. The Bagel Shack next door was spectacular, and Ralph's grocery was 1 block down. The owners/managers were extremely pleasant and attentive to any needs. I left my car in the parking lot and didn't use it once on this trip as it was convenient to walk everywhere or take the free town trolley. The pier was less than a mile walk through beautiful, quiet neighborhoods, so I did that at sunset both nights! Literally the most relaxing get away I've ever taken!

Family owned, which was so lovely. It smelled so clean and fresh as if we were visiting family not a hotel. We didn't like that we had a portable AC cooler in the bathroom facing the bedroom. It also kept turning off and resetting which made the stay inconvenient. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Staff/owners friendly and very helpful with information around town. The trolley ride was fun and super convenient that we were able to get close by.

Amazing little motel! Super clean and spacious. Definitely on the older side, but it doesn’t matter because it’s well taken care of. Location is AMAZING!! It’s a 15 min walk to the beach/pier and 5 minute walk into the main little town! And it’s right next to a Ralph’s and bagel shack for breakfast. Couldn’t have been happier!

Lovely homey place to stay, very friendly service, cool little motel, would stay again. Grocery store very close by, walked to pier and restaurant strip, lovely community. Despite being close to highway, never heard highway noise. Recommended.

This hotel is conveniently located near many eateries, stores, freeway, and the action of Del Mar St. it is about a .8 mile walk to the pier which has some steep areas. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Although the location is good there is some street noise coming from the very busy El Camino Real St. snd the walls are thin. The hotel is a bit dated but well kept and clean. There is sufficient parking in front if the rooms.

The suite was amazing!! It was cozy, comfy, and had all the amenities of home, including a full kitchen. We even had our own parking spot and private courtyard with a fire pit and BBQ! I cannot wait to stay here again!

I love that it’s not your cookie-cutter chain motel. Quaint, colourful decor and beautiful succulent plants outside of each room’s private entrances. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodated my unexpected need to check in late. No coffee in the room, but there are lots of cafes nearby, including a great bagel/breakfast place right next door. The mattress was a bit worn out/lumpy but I still slept fine.

Small old school beach hotel. Staff was great. Friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean, simple and small. Seemed pretty humid. Towels were nice but hard to drying out. Had to park on street if place is busy. Owner provided home made cookies for Mother’s Day. Nice touch. Was close to restaurants, grocery store and shops.0w dry gave helpful recommendations. Bagel shop next sire was great

Nothing fancy but it was clean, had parking and was walking distance to some restaurants and the beach. The motel room I stayed in had a microwave and a small refrigerator. The bathroom is a good size but the water in the shower was either really hot or cold, unsteady and changed while I was using it. Obviously I took a quick shower because I couldn’t get the temperature right. Note that if you arrive late, I got there after 10 pm, you’ll need to call the emergency number posted on the door so a person could come and check you in. Convenient location and has parking, offered bare minimum amenities but clean. I prefer to stay at name-brand hotels but this motel was cheap and still had rooms available which I needed last minute.
