Suburban Studios near Mesa Verde

Drive up Room!! Spacious

On the positive side, the staff were all nice and I really appreciated the early breakfast. On the negative side, the property feels old and run down. You can tell they've tried to update the rooms a little with LVT flooring and new bathroom counters, but it still feels old and worn overall.

Breakfast very good, more than "continental" with cooked food, the best morning was when Debbie did the breakfast. Comfortable beds and they really are studios with a large fridge and microwave, I could have moved in. Good clean laundry room with a gym to use while waiting for your laundry. We came to hike and visit Anasazi ruins in the Canyon of the Ancients and the motel is very well placed. Some good Mexican restaurants nearby, Gustavo's, Mi Mexico, El Casita.

Good motel for one night and convenient to Mesa Verde National Park. Outside doors and limited parking. Hotel staff was great and gave us a really good recommendation for a Mexican restaurant just a short walk from the hotel.

Room was spacious with full kitchen and full size refrigerator. Clean, breakfast was good. I was pleasantly surprised the cleanliness and convenience. No pool. A small gym, laundry. Definitely would stay again.

Think "motel" not "hotel". Super simple. Room layout was spacious. Beds are on a metal frame that is easily and often bumped, causing a "thunder" sound. Property (including room) was in good enough condition but in need of updating. Breakfast was super simple -- the low end of "typical" for complimentary breakfasts. Lots of restaurants nearby, including a delicious coffee shop (Ziggi's) in the same parking lot.

The room had a terrible smell, took forever for the bathtub and sink to drain (15 mins). The toilet became blocked on the last morning, so had to use toliets near the laundry room. The floor appeared clean but our feet were black after only a few minutes. It needed to be washed not just brushed. No outside lighting and visitors congregated outside the room, smoking and drinking until around midnight.

The first room wasn’t clean housekeeping didn’t even touch it at all, second room they gave us the heater wasn’t working. Finally the 3 rd room they gave us was somewhat okay. The water takes awhile to heat up, the tv wasn’t working and the heater barely even blew out heat. I will not stay there again.

Staff is friendly, room was not clean enough for me. Hair in the tub and back of toilet was dusty and a long hair on tank. The beds were mounted on some sort of sheet metal pedestal that was very noisy when accidenatally kicked. Breakfast was ok, would prefer yogurt and fruit.

Excellent little hotel in Cortez, Colorado. Friendly, polite and considerate staff. No fuss check-in. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The bathtub was sparkling! I really enjoyed the towels not being scratchy and smelling of bleach, too. Comfortable beds and really soft sheets. The AC got almost TOO cold for us but I turned it down a bit and slept peacefully through the night. Very nice selection for hot breakfast and the coffee was delicious. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed a second time on our way back through. On a personal note, I'd like to make sure that I mention that Pam, the lovely front desk clerk, was amazing. All the staff were but she was just extra amazing in wanting to make sure that our stay was comfortable and that everything about our stay was just as we wanted. We did have an issue with the AC in our room our second visit and she addressed it immediately and made sure that the room we got was exactly as we wanted. I appreciated that so much. Such a kind lady. Wow. The entire staff at this little hotel was polite and went the extra mile. We will be staying here again without hesitation.

Older motel. Room was clean and comfortable.

Floor had aspalt tar all over it. Couldn't tell from grey wood floors. My daughter could not get the tar off my 3 yr old grandaughters feet. Bugs everywhere on towels, floors, tubs. However Viola who takes care of breakfast is awesome.

Nice, clean and spacious room. The room seems to be recently updated with a kitchenette. It has full size fridge, stove, microwave and utensils. No funky smell. I would recommended it

This was an older property that has been upgraded. It was very comfortable with good beds. It also featured a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator, sink, dishes, stove top, microwave and coffee maker. The shower was good. We would have liked a comfortable chair in the room. There was room for one. The breakfast was better than most. The man in charge did a very good job and was responsive to people's requests. We stayed for two nights as we were touring Mesa Verde and would choose to stay there again.

The room was great! It had a kitchen so if you wanted to, you could cook your meal there. Full refrigerator. Plus they had a "real" free breakfast. Would select this motel again if staying in Cortez.

I really enjoyed staying at this property. First of every single member of the staff I came in to contact with were super friendly, very nice, and always made sure I had every thing I needed. All the rooms are remodeled and we're very clean. Lastly they have an awesome hot breakfast every morning. I go to Cortez often to see my kids and having a full size drive and a way to make dinner instead of going out to eat really helped. The kitchenet was really helpful. And all this at a very reasonable rate. I won't stay anywhere else from now on when I'm In Cortez. They have earned my business. Very impressed with this property and it's staff

Very king staff

First off, this place was great in terms of front desk staff, clean and comfy room, and easy access to restaurants. Unfortunately e left a pricey item behind that we bought from an artist at Four Corners and didn’t realize it till the next day. The front desk said their staff did not find it . It would be nice if people had a conscious and turn it in. It was a costly mistake on our part but it would have made us feel great about this property if their staff had just turned it in.

Very u helpful front desk person who couldnr find my reservations, and up leaving to another gotel in town.

My second time there and both times they cancelled my reservations and put me in another room that I didn't reserve . I made and paid for that particular suite months in advance . Both times they said that they had overbooked . I was not happy with that two times in a row .

Our room was spacious and fabulous. It was very clean and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The gal who checked us in was great, even though we were late.

Not only is the hotel dog friendly, but the restaurant across the street is too. Great stay, great dinner combination.

Suburban Studios was a fantastic place to stay! We stayed in room 118 which was perfect for our traveling family of 5. We walked in and were floored at the size of the open concept room and how nice it was! There was so much space to spread out! There was a full size refrigerator and pantry which was nice so we could transfer our cooler food and refreeze all the ice packs during our stay. There was also a nice little kitchenette so that we could cook our own dinner in room, saving money on going out to eat. Breakfast was delicious with good food choices and I loved that the property manager came around to personally ask each of the guests about their stay. We also enjoyed specialty coffee from the hometown coffee shop just across the parking lot. We would highly recommend Suburban Studios for any traveling family! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great little hotel for those passing through Cortez or needing something for an extended stay. Our family of four had a very large room that was a perfect fit. Breakfast was great and the manager stepped up quickly when she realized the cook wasn't able to make it in that morning. Lots of good restaurants around and just a short drive from Mesa Verde.

Wonderful layout for an extended family. Has some of those b-n-b like amenities, which was super helpful. Breakfast is solid and included hot food (think omelette, hash browns and sausage).
