Parking is a nightmare at this location. They share parking with the Prudential Center. There are too many reserved spaces for that venue and not the hotel.

Heads up: NO SHUTTLE and $30/day parking. Bad experience with taxi driver...I'm Dominican and he was Haitian and he started getting political and saying we are bad people. Couldve avoided if a shuttle were available. As soon as we parked and I opened the door, I was greeted by a local asking us to move becaaue his boys were parking there: hotel is basically in the hood. As soon as you get in, you're in the typical Marriott world...welcome to New Jersey 😆

The hotel serves as a comfortable place to stay. Rooms are good size with large bed and a pull out bed. Gym is clean and has your basic options and cable machine. Hotel area is not far from Time Square and MetLife (around 25min from either with no traffic). The immediate outside area can be a little less than appealing, but never felt unsafe especially with the hotel security at entrance.

The hotel was clean, spacious, and with friendly staff but the pictures of the exterior are a misrepresentation. There isn't really a space to stop the car to check-in and then go back in and park. You can enter the covered deck on the side of the building, but that's not immediately clear from the booking information. The staff was gracious, helpful, and attentive.

This hotel is listed as having a bar and restaurant. It does not. That's the only reason I booked this hotel. Really mad that didn't have them as hotels.com states. Neighborhood does not feel safe walking to get something to eat.

Our room had a horribly strong marijuana odor - extremely strong and unpleasant. We couldn’t switch rooms because they were sold out. The hotel lobby was nice - the breakfast very good. But overall I couldn’t wait to be out of the hotel room and breathe fresh air… Extremely disappointed management would allow the room to be occupied given the horrible lingering smell

The place was super convenient. Breakfast was included as was parking. Only minus is that the room was not vacuumed well. We found chapstick next to the bed and I found someones hair clip next to the bed.

Our room had a terrible smell. The shower floor had a weird residue and the shower curtain was dirty and smelled like wet towel. Also the towels smelled like cigarettes. Would not stay here again.

Hotel location is in a dirty area trash all over the street. People sleeping on the sidewalk. Hotel lobby was dirty and so were the elevators. Rooms were old and outdated. White powdery substance on the night stand when I got to the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Property was attached to garage that was attached to Prudential Center, which made it easyfor us to get to our event and back. Only complaint would be not to have a room facing main strip, especially on a Friday night. Street noise was very loud, sounded like cars were racing and loud music well past midnight. But other then that, it was great. Just ask for a no view room!!

The room was mid. Felt more like a motel. This hotel needs an upgrade. The worse part is that the room A/C did not work. The room was 80 degrees and could need be move to another room because no availability, plus maintenance staff were not available at night. We were given a fan that barely blew any air. The entire night was uncomfortable to the point where I could not get any sleep.

They failed to advise there was a 30 dollar fee a night to park at check-in, the staff was not friendly and had issues explaining things when I had a question. Getting to my car was a process to say the least. We had to call hotline to get internet connection.

The hotel stay was nice. The rooms were decent and clean. I just only say the service from the front desk lady a little rude also they do require a credit card for incidentals. Which I expect it. However, they just come in to tell you to slide your card. It is $50. However, it turns out to be $50 per day that they charge your card. Thanks a little ridiculous but they need to tell you that prior.

I attended a concert on Sunday evening, and I found this hotel to be the perfect location for events at Prudential Center. The hotel itself is immaculate. However, I did experience some issues with check-in and parking. The front desk staff member working on Sunday evening was quite rude. It seemed that I was bothering her during her downtime, and she appeared very agitated when ansering my questions about the parking, which was poorly organized. On a positive note, my check-out experience was much better. The hotel manager was very professional, in stark contrast to the employee who handled my check-in. It's important for all staff to understand that customer service is crucial, especially since not all guests are local residents. This hotel is best choice for the venue, and it would be unfortunate if any guests decided not to return due to poor customer service and a disgruntled employee.

Was told I could check in early two days prior over the phone, but actually wasn’t allowed to check in until an hour after check in time. Wasn’t offered any compensation. The air conditioning in the lobby didn’t work or wasn’t on. It was 85 degrees plus. The staff was completely unprepared for the amount of guests they had booked in their hotel for one of the biggest concerts of the year on the east coast. The lobby was full with 50 plus guests waiting to get checked in and being told the same thing as I was told. Completely disappointed for the caliber of hotel this was.

This is my fourth time staying at this property for a concert at the Prudential Center. It is seconds away from the arena. There are dining options within walking distance and there’s easy parking available. The staff is amazing and super accommodating. It’s really the only choice to stay in Newark. Book this hotel before you get the concert tickets.

It’s scary to walk to Penn Station (Newark) from hotel. Lots of transients and homeless. Once you get on the train and get to NYC it’s a great location for that convience.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Rooms on the street side can be noisy from the traffic. The area outside seems a bit unsafe. 10 mn walk to Penn station Newark with good connections to New York City. Breakfast has good options. We didn’t have a safe in our room.

The hotel was ok. It was pretty clean, service was good. The rooms were spacious. However, the area around the hotel was not the best. Keep that in mind. It’s about a 15 minute walk to penn station newark and it was not a pleasant walk. We walked through questionable areas.

I was here to see Kelsea Ballerini at the Prudential Center. They have a skyway from the parking garage so you don’t have to walk outside on the street. My only complaint is that there is no complimentary breakfast, there is a Starbucks like kiosk in the lobby for breakfast. The food and tea were good just pricey.

We attended a show at Prudential Center. The Room was clean at the Marriott and perfect for getting to and from the prudential center. The downside, restaurant bar/lounge not open in hotel . Not a comfortable Neigbor to search for breakfast, lunch or dinner . Safety concerns .

Very limited dining in the area, and the lobby food service/bar was only open for breakfast and was quite expensive. Ice machines not working on several floors. Fairly close to transportation (Penn Newark) but the 15 minute walk wouldn't be great in bad weather.

Nice mid-level rooms. But be warned. This property is on a main road and you can clearly hear the traffic. They advertise having breakfast but there is a charge, it is not free. Also, there is parking, but it costs.

The room was nice. We were happy with that however, in the morning when we went downstairs to eat, they had zero hot food. That was just a disgrace. We paid a lot for this hotel. It was not cheap and right in the heart of Newark and to tell us we could only get muffins for breakfast was just beyond sad.

The hotel itself is nice and clean. They have a security guard at the door which is also good. The hotel is good, the neighborhood is not a place you want to walk around and explore at all. The hotel only serves breakfast, there is no dinner, no bar, no beer sold in the little lobby emergency food shop. So it’s a good safe place to stay if you have to work downtown. But it’s no fun at all
