Very cute property! The rooms were very well appointed. They even gave us a little cooler full of ice because there is no ice machine. The only thing we didn’t like was the extremely squeaky bed that had a big dent in the middle! They should put in platform bed frames and get rid of those old metal frames! Overall, we loved our stay! Great location with a nice bike trail! And Zorro’s Cantina down the street…yum!

We loved this cute little motel! They thought of every detail. The pool was very well heated and they even had cute little personal propane fires you could relax by. We arrived late and they set up ice and a bag of popcorn in our room. And the beds and sheets were very comfortable! The only negative was that the walls were pretty thin. But they provided ear plugs and I slept great all night. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Shell Beach Inn was outstanding! We booked the 1-bedroom suite which was super-spacious, wonderfully appointed, and just absolutely gorgeous! The living area had ample seating, tons of board games, and a record player—with a huge selection of oldies for enjoyment. The kitchen area was clean, fully stocked with all the essentials, and had room for 6 people. The bed was comfy, the bathroom had plenty of towels—and a waterfall shower! Bonus—free on-site parking!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderfully cozy inn (Room 5). Denise the receptionist was cordial. She didn't go out of her way to make us feel welcome. But she definitely was not rude. However the owner was extremely kind, welcoming and friendly. The room was impeccably designed and modern. The grounds were well maintained. Towels were readily available. The housekeeping lady along with the gentleman I think was possibly the maintenance worker were WONDERFUL!!! . They both were absolutely ACCOMDATING AND KIND. Keep them on your staff roster. Parking was convenient. The television, microwave, and refrigerator was a great touch. My husband and I look forward to another visit soon. God bless you abundantly! This boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. Heated pool with heaters at the patio tables. A sitting area outside each room. The staff was so welcoming and everything was great. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. We will be returning

Very nice and clean property. Close to the beach and Avila Beach. Only issue I had was there was a little bit of mold on the shower curtain on the inside and the hot water took a long time to get hot.

Property was cute and a great place to stay. Great location away from the crowds but not too far. Easy walk down to view the water. Only complaint would be that the floors and/or rug was dirty. Our feet would immediately get dirty just from walking around the room. Other than that we had a great stay! Would definitely stay again.

The room was great loved all the extra pillows on the bed only complaint there was left over sushi in the refrigerator and the toilet seat was loose but other that that it was a beautiful room quit and intimate I will definitely book again

The hotel aesthetically is beautiful, but not clean at all. My daughter pulled back the sheet on her bed in the morning and found a brown stain. We also found feces on the side of the toilet which the hotel had to clean and my son walked around in White Sox and when he looked at them, they were solid black on the bottom. The hotel really is a great location and so cute but they need to do a better job about cleaning.

The floors were filthy, my white Sox were black with dirt stains from walking around. The dark floors hide the dirt. Stayed one night and literally put towels on the floor after showering so I could put clean socks on for the shoes.

In the morning before my arrival someone from the property called to say that nobody would be at the front desk when I arrived because of an emergency, and that my key would be in a lockbox outside the office. When I opened the lock box with the key code I was given, I was surprised that there were many room keys in there with names and room numbers on them. I can think of several reasons why this is unsafe. My room was very dark and dimly lit, despite multiple lamps and light switches all over the room. The curtains that cover the wooden shades are not blackout shades. How could such a dark room be so light in the morning? The room is very noisy as the property is adjacent to a busy surface street and the freeway. I am sure that is why two pair of ear plugs were next to the bed. Lastly, the sheets were washed with very fragrant detergent and set off my allergies. Not a very restful stay and definitely not worth the price for this motel room.

The room was clean, which is important to me. The lighting could be improved; even with all the lights on, the room was a little dark. Bed was comfy, but the king mattress probably needs to be replaced. It was a little "lumpy." The location is perfect!

Stayed for 1 night. Great communication with the office. They asked when I would arrive and they left the key in a lockbox. The office closes at 5pm, but they are available via text. Room was nice and cozy. Popcorn, coffee, hot cocoa, bottled water, soap, shampoo, conditioner, makeup wipes, and shower caps available in the room. Bathroom is compact, but everything works great. We stayed in the winter so it got a little cold at night. Room has a heater/AC wall unit. Remote was missing, but staff brought us a replacement even though it was 9pm. Ate at Zorros a block away. 10% off coupon in the room, but I forgot to use it. Loud freeway noise, but they give you earplugs. The walls are thin and I could hear the people in the room next door talking. Overall, great stay!

Cute little inn, Beds were comfy, and very clean. Many restaurants within walking distance along with beautiful ocean views close by walls are a little fan but they offered earplugs which worked well. Only complaint is I felt a bit rushed out of my room - check out is 11 AM at 10:15. I was trying to finish getting ready and housekeeping kept knocking and wanted to know if I knew check out was at 11. Other than that, friendly staff and a great place to stay. I will be back!

This is our second stay at this inn. We love the privacy, the decor, the friendliness of the staff and the location. A nice walk to the beach, restaurants and easy access to Hwy 101. We will be back on our next trip through central CA.

It’s a 5 min drive to Downtown Pismo Beach where a lot of nice restaurants and stores are. Room was clean, mostly quiet (you can hear the traffic from Highway 101 a bit, but it’s not too bad and the hotel offers free earplugs, which I didn’t need/use). Check-in and check-out were super easy and convenient.
