No parking at hotel so had to pay extra for that (20 mins walk away) Room was clean but basic, staff weren’t really helpful on night when you wanted food seemed like they didn’t want to make anything. Breakfast was only continental so couldn’t have a full English, bed was comfy but only one pillow each. Costa and Dominoes right next door

Very limited parking. The public car park recommended by the hotel had numerous reviews online of vandalism and property theft. I decided to find an off-road private parking space, but the nearest was a considerable walk from the hotel.

Good value for money. You have to pay for t bags and a kettle which is a Novel way of bringing the rooms costs down I guess. Comfortable, good location. They have two lifts and they are the slowest lifts I have ever experienced and that was the only downside.

Good location near New Islington Tram Station which has cheap 24 hour parking. There's a Costa & Dominos round the corner and it's only a 15-20minute walk from the city centre. Staff were helpful and polite. There are some road works at the moment (June 2023) so be prepared for construction noise.

Just one night to attend a concert at Coop live. Convenient location for the arena and Man City Etihad. No parking on site so had to leave car up the road in the team car park which is charged. Some staff were great but the odd one lethargic. Also didn’t know about the city tourist tax until we checked in.

Room wasn’t very clean, bugs crawling around In the morning, marks all over the floor, beds really uncomfortable. Mattress toppers didn’t fit the beds which made the beds feel like you were falling out of them on a slant. Just overall not the best experience

The underneath of our bed was dirty, looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a long time. A hand towel would have been useful rather than big ones. Pillows were very flat & only one provided. Remote control broken but replaced quickly.

The lobby is the nicest part of this hotel. The rooms have a bad, musty smell. I was dying to be able to open a window. The room was clean. I did not like that I put up a do not disturb sign on my door, yet housekeeping still went in to restock the mini bar. Yet, 2 days later when I asked them to restock the water they did not. I noticed in the hallway when they are making over the rooms they leave piles of linens and towels outside the room on the floor; however some of the linens were in plastic bags (which is acceptable) some were just piled on the dirty floor which is not acceptable. There is no elevator so suggest first floor if this will be an issue for you.

Get what you pay for on the whole. Basic and clean although our toilet smelled slightly of urine. Bedding was clean but duvet cover was ripped. Convenient for access to Coop Live arena. Some outside noise even though we were on fourth floor. Reception staff were very polite and helpful.

The room was not of a high standard of cleanliness and there was a bad smell throughout the room. Marks on the walls, furnishing and flooring and rusting and peeling materials around the room. Incredibly disappointing for the price of £255 for two nights and incredibly deceptive from the photographs. I had to book into another hotel as the experience was so distressing and unclean.

Due to arriving late the rooms lighting wasn’t adequate to check the conditions of the room, the morning after I noticed there was food splatters all over the walls, went to take a shower in the morning and notice that it smelt rotten and that the shower drain was mouldy

Nice place to stay for a few nights, does the job and ideal location for centre and getting to Coop Live. Bit more attention to detail required in rooms (shower gel was empty so had to go get some, bits of mold in places, bedding inside out... that type of stuff) Shops/coffee/takeaways close by as well

All about location with this hotel. 15 mins walk from Piccadilly but considerably cheaper than more central hotels. Basic room. Uncomfortable beds. Not cleanest bed linen. Did the job for a concert at the Co-op Live venue so only needed somewhere to sleep

The only good thing about the room was that it was clean. We had a bunk bed over our heads for some strange reason, the toilet was smaller than a broom cupboard and the air conditioner whined that loud it was better than any alarm clock !

The rooms are very small and the toilet is tiny. Booked to go to a concert and only really used the room to sleep in. The bed was comfortable. If you need a room in a convenient place for the centre and the Etihad then this hotel does the job.

Budget quality, premium price! Negatives: £175 for a very small twin room (probably should have been a single) where the beds actually touched, with only the smallest amount of space to move them apart. Floor of room was sticky underfoot. No separate bathroom. There was a toilet room that was so small you had to back into it or leave the door open to be able to walk in and turn around. The sink and shower were in the main part of the room, with the glass door of shower (not fully privacy proof) facing a mirror that was facing the beds, which were the only place to sit. No facilities to make a drink Positives: Helpful reception staff, close to amenities. Overall very disappointing and very overpriced.

All the staff we saw were courteous and helpful The room was basic but clean The bed was hard and only one thin pillow The room was nice and warm and you could adjust the temp The shower in our twin room was in a shower cubicle next to one of the beds. No privacy when showering and walking out of the shower naked straight into the room! No hand towels No kettle to make a hot drink Drinks to buy in the main lobby served in a tiny paper cup. No alternative milk or decaf tea! We will not return

We checked in the rooms are ok. Basic. The shower cubicle is in the main room and the sink. The toilet in a separate door. The shelf under the sink fell off as my daughter was brushing her tooth as it was rested not screwed in. Beds were quite hard and tough but room was overall ok. Just a place to rest our head. We were there for an event at the coop live arena and it was great location for it. Tram stop over the road but town was only a short walk. There was a little food place over the road, bite box. Me and my daughter went for pizza and chips prior to heading to the co-op arena.

The shower and hand basin are within the bedroom so no privacy. I can't see how this would be a suitable arrangement for anyone. The toilet is separate though! To be fair on review of the pictures the room set up is as it was shown, but it is not obvious and should be mentioned in the room description. It is a big room so there is no need for it to be so strangely arranged.

Stayed for two nights. Room was fine - as expected for budget hotel. No issues. No kettle or hairdryer in the room. Had to pay a £10 deposit at reception for a kettle to use during my stay. They informed me thie deposit would be returned automatically to my account in 3-5 working days. I am still waiting nearly 2 weeks later. Will have to chase hotel for the return of deposit unfortunately. Very inconvenient and disappointing.

Reception were busy chatting as a group of 3 and we were an inconvenience to serve. Didn’t welcome us, didn’t do anything to support our stay and explain about the offerings and breakfast options. More interested in social posts in their phones. Room was basic and limited space, bed was very uncomfortable and no extra blankets or pillows to make it more comfortable. Appreciate its budget but not to the point of discomfort. Left and no acknowledgment from the staff again, handed key over and nobody said anything.

For everyone staying here, be careful: This hotel double charged me at check in when it was already paid in full via Expedia.co.uk, staff at reception apologized for the error. When checking out I noticed my bank statement and I was double charged again the next day for the same stay. Not a good experience!

i’m 19 and was taking my 16 year old cousin to a concert and wasn’t made aware upon booking that one of her parents had to send the hotel an email with her ID and a parents ID and confirmation that I was allowed to be responsible for her. This was a massive inconvenience as we then had to get in contact with her parents and get them to send over the email where as if we had been made aware before hand we could have done this in advance. took us almost an hour to get checked in because of this and we had no apologies from the staff they kept just telling us to go wait at the side and come back in 5 minutes and then they would say the same thing over and over as the email wasn’t coming up and then we were told we had been given the wrong email address even though a member of staff had just written it down for us. Once we got checked in the rest was fine the room was small but clean decent size shower and comfortable bed, ideal for after a concert.

Perfect one night stay for going to a gig at Coop arena Room was decent size for one night and nice and clean. Car park two mins walk away and only £6.50 for overnight. Right near the tram stop so ideal for going to the arena

The hotel was in a perfect location, just between the city center and the Co-op Live / Etihad campus. The tram was just steps away from the enterance and it was a quick walk to get to from the train station. I would absolutely stay here again.

Everything was great, but breakfast.... The crossiants were stale, blueberry muffin was stodgy, the orange juice tasted like it has been off for ages, very bitter, the milk was warm, the only edible thing you had was the yoghurt, was very poor and not worth the additional money paid for it!

When booking the breakfast said full English. This implied that it was a cooked breakfast. This wasn’t the case. I booked a twin room as it was appropriate for beds to be shared. The shower however wasn’t in a separated room. This meant that one of us had to vacate the room for the other to shower. Only one pillow was provide. When I asked for a second there weren’t any available. There were a distinct lack of socketed available in the room for charging phones, watches etc. no tea making facilities in the room.

The say was absolutely fine, very basic. Paid for breakfast, absolutely no description so assumed would maybe be a buffet. Got there to find out it was cereal, toast, pastries, cheese and salami of which extremely small selection. I am dairy free and they had substitute cheese and milk. But no butter for the toast. And not enough milk for the cereal. Before we sat down i explained my nieve and asked for a refund on the breakfast, which they where not able to do.

Ibis budget is a a Travelodge type hotel, clean and badic. Decent continental breakfast for £8.50 and serves pizzas and other food till midnight. In walking distance or near tram station to Co-op Live/Etihad stadium.

All the staff were 5star, at check in, breakfast, checkout. They were friendly, helpful, informative about directions and transport options. The room was very basic, probably more so than we expected but had all the essentials. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast was as advertised and good quality.

Definitely a budget option, however; 1. Great location for our event at Coop Live. 20min walk, mostly flat. 2. Clean hotel. 3. Friendly staff and easy check in/out. 4. Tiny room but fine for just sleeping in. 5. Room was quiet, couldn't hear other guests. 6. Super comfy bed, slept really well. 7. Basic but very nice continental style breakie. 8. Good price. Overall we no negatives, if you want a budget option i would recommend staying at the Ibis. No bells, no whistles but it was great!
