Had to change rooms since our bathroom sink didn't work, the rooms were clean and staff friendly and helpful. The pool was closed down our first night so the kids were disappointed. They reopened it the next day.

We booked this hotel based on how close it was to base and the pool. The pictures are deceiving. The pool was in terrible shape. Extremely cloudy and dirty. There were only five lounge chairs around the pool area and every one of them were ripped and broken. Basically laying in them at your own risk. Most of the time the pool was closed because there was no one to maintain it. Since the pool was not swimmable the staff would not open the gate so we can at least enjoy the weather outside. There was no where to relax. Plus there was no air conditioning throughout the halls and dining/lounge area. Hot and uncomfortable. We stayed 4 nights and our room was never attended to. Also run down, not like in the pictures. No new towels and garbage overflowing. Extremely disappointed. All the guests were complaining. Do not recommend staying here.

Property was nice, clean, convenient... Felt like it was a bit overpriced, but it was my first time in the area, nothing to compare. Front desk staff was young and not friendly or helpful and often away from the desk. Asked for help with the guest laundry (uses an app that didn't seem to be working). Her short answer was, "don't know anything about that" then turned and walked away.

This hotel is very nice and shares a parking lot with the Infantry Museum (which is really impressive). It was clean, has a gym, pool and good breakfast. It is close to the Fort Moore/Benning gate. We will definitely stay again if visiting the area!

We love staying at this hotel when visiting Fort Moore/Benning. It shares a parking lot with the Infantry Museum which we recommend visiting. It is located close to the gate to get on post so really convenient for visiting. It offers a gym, pool and breakfast. It is clean, quiet and safe.

Staff did not check on the status of our room. Garbage or towels. We changed our garbage daily and had to ask for new towels. The bed was like a rock. Most of the time, no one was assessable at the front desk if you had questions. We had to wait 15 mins to check in (Eve) and no one came to check out (MN).

Not very clean, beds and pillows need an upgrade, they are not comfortable at all. We went for a turning green ceremony and came back a day early because the beds are very uncomfortable and pillows are so fat that we all had a neck ache. Rug and baseboards are mot very clean and the water in the tub does not drain very well. So sorry to say I will look some where else next time needed. Personal was very friendly.

Room was dirty, especially the carpet and the bathroom (mirror, floor). The room was across the hallway from the elevator and the constant elevator bell noise was horrible. The air conditioning worked, but was incredibly loud. I was afraid there was something wrong and opened the panel to reveal the air filter shockingly dark brown, full of dirt. I’d insert a photo if I could. It is convenient to the Infantry museum and grounds for army training graduations, but I hope I don’t have to go there again.

The room was very clean and in reasonably good condition. However, the room is geared more towards business travelers. The room is separated by a long built-in table/desk/dresser combination with the TV mounted on the wall perpendicular to one end of the table. Once the sofa sleeper is extended, seating becomes limited to beds, two single seater chairs, and two ottomans. Replacing the larger ottoman, with a love seat would remedy the seating issue while proving visibility to the TV. A second small ottoman could also be stored under the table/desk/drawer unit and provide support for the love seat. I personally like extra firm mattresses and I managed to convert the boss, aka wife, to plush extra firm pillow tops. Although we’ve switched from springs to foam about 5 years back, I don’t recall being able to feel the individual springs within our previous spring mattresses.

Stayed here for our son’s Turning Green ceremony at Fort Moore. It was very convenient, walking distance from National Infantry Museum, and located down the road from one of the base gates (not the main gate). We were only about 5 or 10 minutes from the main gate and 15 minutes from Pomeroy Field and found it easy to get there. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all hours of the day and night, room was clean and adequate, and breakfast was hot, free, and comparable to other hotels. Gym was good and open til midnight. I only gave this review 3 stars because the beds were so hard we won’t stay here again. I was unable to lay on my back for more than a couple minutes without it seizing up, and it definitely affected our sleep. For us it was a definite dealbreaker, which is too bad for all of the reasons listed above.

The property is very well maintained. The staff is top notch! We had an AC issue that was taken care of immediately. Not only did 2 maintenance workers come to fix the issue, but the lady at tue front desk also came to be sure everything was taken care of. The one and only thing that I didn’t like were the hard mattresses. There was no getting around that.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice this Hampton Inn was. All except some on the lighting, (in the lobby, the bathroom, and the sink area) could use brighter bulbs! We will definitely stay here again

All the staff were absolutely outstanding. Charlie, in particular, was beyond fantastic. Professional, courteous, helpful,very friendly…they made you feel like you were known to them, like family, forever. I’ve stayed in many hotels throughout my personal and professional life, and this had to be THE BEST experience I’ve ever had. The hotel was so clean and in order. A very peaceful stay. And let me add once again, ALL the staff were over the top, helpful, and so friendly. PERFECT stay at The Hampton Inn Columbus, GA, South Fort Benning. Whoever owns/manages this property should be grateful for all their employees there. Our stay was August 20-22, 2025.

I booked the room through Hotels.com. l changed the date. The confirmation was in my email but no information at the hotel computer. Someone dropped the ball and l am trying to get it figured out for about four hours standing at the front desk. It was a nightmare 😔. I was about to go back home two hours away. Thank God in the fourth hour of me standing there Mrs Gloria got it straightened out. This was ridiculous. I will never book through hotels.com again. 4 hours at the front desk is crazy. I was livid.

I was there for my son’s graduation from basic training at Fort Benning, so the location was great. The room was comfortable and quiet. A restaurant would have been a huge plus. If not a restaurant, an area to buy food and beverages, including alcohol, would have been much appreciated.

Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Disappointed that the pool was closed that was 2nd reason for chosing the hotel. Breakfast omelets were awful stick to scrambled eggs, take pork sausage out and cook bacon.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and professional. The breakfast was simple but fulfilling. The only thing missing was bacon at breakfast and melted cheese for the potatoes or some packets of instant grits.The staff that provided the breakfast was friendly and attentive. They kept the breakfast area clean and loaded with food. I'm also with there were vending machines for snacks at the hotel. However, the hotel provided free hot coffee and hot chocolate around the clock.
