The property was only accessible from one direction on a very busy divided street. Rooms were excellent. There was no cleaning of the room during my 5 day stay. The staff were very helpful courteous and friendly. It was close to restaurants and shopping. Worked very well for me.

Parking by room entrance door - no hallways to carry luggage down. Would have been nice to have fridge and microwave. Had a very nice walk-in shower. Good sleeping mattress.

The folks who own and run the place are very gracious, and accommodating. It wasn't at all what I expected. They keep it neat and clean. You can tell there is new ownership. Compared to past visits, it is much, much better.

Its clean enough for a cheaper room, but very noisy, dead cockroach in lobby. Run down and dirty bed covers and doors. It looks like the rooms have recently been renovated but dont go if your not driving. There is no food or drinks close by

As a woman in my 20’s, I felt a bit on edge staying here but I knew what I was getting when I paid for it. My key card kept getting disabled each day and I had to keep getting new ones. The sheets appeared to be stained and we found a pair of dirty underwear inside of the bedding. If you stay here I would advise you to bring your own bedding and bath towels. It’s a decent place to stay if you need a temporary room to sleep in, but otherwise I would recommend staying elsewhere.

A place for travelers who do not need a lot of amenities. Simple room with a fine shower, small tv, and a comfortable bed. Faced east but the heavy drapes kept the sun out and the light did not wake me up. I had a problem with the WiFi connection as I was in a building separate from the office and the signal was too weak for my devices to connect to it.

I stayed here overnight for an early morning flight. I would have been better off driving through the night or sleeping in my vehicle. The room door was hard to lock (had to lift it to insert deadbolt). It's noisy, the AC was noisy, the outside is falling apart, the bed is harder than a rock, and it overall is not a pleasant stay for a single woman. I did not feel safe. I will not every stay again. Not worth the $80 I paid.

It was good for the price, clean and friendly. Don't expect extras like other motels. No microwave, refrigerator in room, no extra locks on doors, all steps. It was fine for just staying one night but wouldn't recommend if staying longer.

The room i stayed in was nice, they didn't have much for toilet paper in the bathroom though, but it did have a nice big shower. My only real complaint was the bed, it was hard as a rock.

While the rooms was okay, there were a couple of things that would have been helpful. Firstly, there was no listing of restaurants near the motel which would have been nice. There was a television that worked, but there was no listing of the local TV stations or any kind of guide. The shower, while good, was not checked prior to my arrival as the shower was out of shower gel even though there were built in containers for the gel in the shower. Another thing that I was not pleased with was the lack of a receipt. I specifically asked for a receipt and was told I could not get one from the staff at the check-in desk. I was told to go online to get the receipt. I found this to be unacceptable and asked, specifically, for a receipt. The staff member finally printed off a receipt from an online page. Not providing a receipt was totally unacceptable and is probably a defining condition as to whether or not I would return to the motel if I was in the area again.

A little upcoming gem in Des Moines! The rooms are better than what you typically get for this price and they are upgrading the hotel to be an affordable boutique hotel in the area. The owner, Dennis, was very kind. If you are on a budget, definitely don't let the outside turn you away. Appreciated my stay.

No problems with the motel itself! It was great for our night there, checked in super late but was met with no issues.

The owners are super nice and helpful, and definitely went out of their way to make sure we were doing okay the whole time. That being said, the room was definitely musty (it smelled a liiiiitle bit moldy) and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest I've seen in my time. Beds were clean though, and air conditioner worked great. Overall, really can't complain for a last minute motel booking. I'd stay there again in a pinch. The low area score is because it did seem like we were in sort of an odd part of Des Moines, and if you were hoping to do any tourism or walking around at night I don't think this is quite the part of the city for it. The motel itself is good though and right on a main road that can get you to other parts of the city.

We booked this place but upon seeing it and the area around it, we did not feel Safe staying here. We were not able to cancel and get a refund. The area around this motel is run down and seems very unsafe.

We found the accommodations OK. We were in town for the State Fair and just needed an air conditioner, a bed, and a shower. The shower did not have much hot water or pressure. The air conditioning is a window unit, so it was a bit loud, but it did drown out the street noise. The room was clean and adequate for our needs, and the price was right. The facility is old and looks a bit sketchy, but the receptionist was kind, helpful, and friendly.

Great value for single male traveler. Family owned and run. Very clean and well maintained. Directly on a main road so a bit noisy but it did not keep me awake. AC worked great even during 90 degree days. Would not want my wife to stay here by herself but that is because of the area, not the motel itself.
