Super inconvenient compared most modern hotels, lobby stays locked besides a small room with a window to talk to guest services after hours which was like 6pm until idk when in the morning, and that’s if they are actually in the back room. When I checked in it took a solid 15 minutes of standing there in this little humid room as it was after hours while the clerk seemed confused by my reservation but in that 15 minutes never said a word to me, not rude but slow..

Dirty lamp shade, wires exposed, tv bearly worked, Extention cord rigged from the restroom light switch under the carpet to power the tv. No real breakfast & pool was extremely dirty. The staff was friendly & the beds were good enough to get rest on. Now i just have to wait for my $50 deposit that was not mentioned when making my reservation to be put back on my account. 2/5 stars

Well, the front desk clerk was very helpful, personable- great personality. The room was a bit smaller than expected but clean the TV did not work very well. It had a horrible picture. The pool looked very dirty. The front door to the office area. Check in area was broken and poorly boarded up as well the other door had multiple cracks on the glass. Apparently somebody threw a brick through over a month ago.😳😬 so first impression was not my best. Overall it was good.

Checkin trouble. Only their master key would work, so clerk had to let me in the room each time I left. Dirty and rug was vile. Slept in clothes and kept bags on bed. Only 1 of 2 small lights worked. In morning with daylight saw wites sticking out of wall to outlet that wasnt attached to wall. Would NEVER pass inspection. Should not be operating. I should have slept in my car.

Beware of this place! No where on expedia's site does it mention that howard johnson by wyndam in odessa texas charge your card upon arrival a $50 deposit. So when you pay for your room on expedia which is non refundable, you wont be given your room until you again pay another $50 for deposit. On top of this the room was filthy the tv didnt work and the front desk lady was a smart behind and conducted herself as a queen over the peasants! Would not recommend this place to anyone. Horrible place. Health department needs to be contacted about the filthy unclean rooms.

The staff was fantastic. We only stayed for a few hours because we had to get to the airport around 3 am. The room smelled clean but the sheets were stained and kinda gross looking. The bathroom had maybe gotten a super fast wipe down but not super clean. There were holes in the wall and cigarette burns in the carpets even though it was a no smoking hotel. I probably can see staying there for a very short period of time if you need to get to the airport but wouldn't go out of my way to stay there ever again.

First off the charged me $50 everytime you book & rebook with them, there isnt always anyone available in the office, the closet rack was old and fell apart, i had to fix it. The rooms are really small and they have roaches. Alot of sketchy activity there, I would never recommend anyone stay there, pay a little more to stay somewhere safer and cleaner.

Towels were filthy. Looked like someone had used one to remove eye makeup, and the other to clean an ass then folded up and put back on the rail, refrigerator was so loud I had to unplug it, and the hotel is next to a busy freight rail line so there was a lot of noise from that. Breakfast was terrible. Coffee was so strong it was undrinkable, and the option was waffles or a cake, not exactly nutritious nor diabetic friendly.

I was forced to pay a $50 deposit even though there was a sign posted on the counter saying credit cards aren't charged deposits. When I pointed to it the lady shrugged and said I don't know anything about that. It also stated a $100 non refundable pet fee yet their site says pets stay free. There was only one outlet in the entire room nowhere near the bed, prostitutes outside and people being loud all night. I'll never use this company's locations again. Absolutely ridiculous

Pictures were deceiving, this was a Hotel 1. Nothing was available for breakfast other than coffee. Water from shower and sink ran rusty for the first few mins. Although hotel was basically empty, I was not allowed a ground room and all tenants were assigned rooms next to each other which resulted in early and late night noises keeping me awake. Also no facial towels were available. Room was lacking in light and no desk or chair available to do any computer / office work.

I walked by 2 women standing outside to go check in. There was no one there. I waited about 5 minutes then yelled hello, no response. I walked back outside to look around and the 2 women were still there. I walked back inside again, waited some more. Finally one of the women walked in and asked if i needed help. She worked the front desk. She saw me and never said a word to me or to say she would be right with me. She was very sorry and rude with me. She checked me in, verbally gave me my room number . Handed me my room key with no paper sleeve on it. I booked a king bed room, when i got to my room it had 2 double beds. I walked back to tell her and she said they were all of of king rooms so she gave me what they had. She said the double room was more expensive but didn't charge me the difference. Like she was doing me a favor. The outside of the hotel smelled like Marijuana every time i walked in and out. I will never stay at this hotel again!!

Ivan the General manager did not honor my two hour early check in. I told him I needed to use the bathroom he didn’t care. I had to sit in the lobby where there health department has shut your breakfast area down. I had to hold my urine for almost hour bc he refused to let me check in like Expedia was allowing I had several refrigerated items such as milk n whip cream that sat out for longer then 2 hrs being that he wouldn’t allow me to check in

People on dr*gs with unleashed aggr*ssive dogs wander aimlessly. The parking lot is not s*fe for your vehicle. Worst experience ever with a hotel booking. I didn't even stay because it was that bad, but they also r*fuse ref*nds. Avoid this place.

We stayed for just a night to rest from too much driving. We thought since its Howard Johnson, then quality is good. We were wrong. The property is old and some questionable people lurking around the area. The room is small but in a way clean. Towels are good for only 1 person and the advertised breakfast is non-existent... not even coffee. I will not recommend this place for even a night.

Breakfast was terrible. Coffee was so strong it was undrinkable, and the option was waffles or a cake, not exactly nutritious nor diabetic friendly.
Towels were filthy. Looked like someone had used one to remove eye makeup, and the other to clean an ass then folded up and put back on the rail, refrigerator was so loud I had to unplug it, and the hotel is next to a busy freight rail line so there was a lot of noise from that. If there was a way to take stars away i would. The only expectation that should be set is expect no breakfast, no wake up calls, no good mornings, no acknowledgement of walking in and expect to be disappointed. Pictures are over complimenting this place.

Some of the staff were partaking in some ganja. Smell right on my room and on the way to the continental breakfast. The continental breakfast was severe limited to make your own waffles and fruit cups. The coffee was OK. The bar was good. Given the right staff, this place would be charming

We stayed for just a night to rest from too much driving. We thought since its Howard Johnson, then quality is good. We were wrong. The property is old and some questionable people lurking around the area. The room is small but in a way clean. Towels are good for only 1 person and the advertised breakfast is non-existent... not even coffee. I will not recommend this place for even a night.

Checkin trouble. Only their master key would work, so clerk had to let me in the room each time I left. Dirty and rug was vile. Slept in clothes and kept bags on bed. Only 1 of 2 small lights worked. In morning with daylight saw wites sticking out of wall to outlet that wasnt attached to wall. Would NEVER pass inspection. Should not be operating. I should have slept in my car.
