City Mills Hotel

Very cute and quaint. Rooms were quiet, but there is a train that comes by occasionally, but it’s quick. Not walking distance to the majority of dining though. Wish they had an EV charger for vehicles.

On the river. Very nice restaurant and bar. Somewhat expensive but I enjoyed my stay.

The property is beautiful and when I checked in I had been upgraded to a river view room! The rain shower head, the comfortable bed, and the outdoor firepit were amenities that added to the relaxing atmosphere. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was delicious and much better than I expected (the fresh croissants were amazing). I will definitely stay again and I highly recommend this for anyone!

This hotel is in a beautiful area right off the river! It is very pet friendly, which was awesome for our two pups. The daily breakfast was great- the biscuits are heavenly. The few cons we experienced included: a less than warm welcome arrival from the night shift staff, recurring issues with our room key not working, someone vomiting on the second floor bridge, and not realizing there were no washers/dryers onsite.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views of the Chattahoochee River. Peaceful. Quiet. Loved Riverflow Yoga located right in the building. No need to bring your yoga mat, they have everything you need.

I would have rated 5 stars except for a couple of things. For being the most expensive hotel in the area, the breakfast was average at best. Also, there is no pool and the room we stayed had no furniture with drawers to store your clothes for a multi day stay. Hotel is visually stunning but it's located in an industrial area away from the main downtown attractions.

It is a beautiful hotel with a gorgeous view of the Chattahoochee River. We brought our dog and this hotel goes above and beyond to make our furry friend, a guest, too, from a bowl in the room to toys and treats throughout the hotel. The breakfast is very good and there’s an outdoor porch seating area overlooking the river. The only downfall is the restaurant: the Millhouse, kitchen and bar. This is the second time we’ve stayed at the city Mill Hotel this year and both times the restaurant has been closed when it was supposed to be open. the published closing time for a Saturday night for this restaurant is 10 PM says so on the website, on the door to the restaurant, and in the room card hotel gives you. My son, and I arrived at the restaurant at 9:20 to find the bartender and the waitress, having a drink at the bar telling me they had closed 15 minutes earlier and refused to serve us. That is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant in a hotel to close any earlier than the published time.

Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Nicely decorated, and clean. The Riverwalk trail is accessible from the hotel, so it was convenient to go for an early morning walk.

The hotel is wonderful. My husband, my dog, and I have stayed there several times. This visit, the room was clean. We had a nice view of the river. The carpet, however. was horribly dirty. It felt awful to the touch. I reported the problem when checking out. The woman didn’t write anything down, so I doubt anything will be done.

I had high hopes but this property is not a 4 star hotel by industry standards. It's a 3 star at best. The staff were all nice, polite etc. But my initial hotel room was very noisy at night. I heard loud mechanical banging all night. The room was clean. I got moved to a different room for the 2nd day due to the noise, but the room was dirty. Hair in the shower, on the toilet, no sheet in between the blanket and bedsheet. The blanket had hair on it as well and a stain. The ceiling fan was also very dusty. I contacted the front desk about the sheets/bedding. I was told housekeeping would reach out, nothing was done. Mary cleaned my room (housekeeping signs their name on a notepad in every room) and she did an awful job. My mother was a housekeeper for years, so I know the business very well. There is no excuse for a room to be that dirty. My husband couldn't take a shower that morning due to the mold in the shower. He is highly allergic. Upon checking out, the front desk clerk didn't even ask how my stay was. She told me to have a good day. I've traveled all over the world and stayed at 4 star high end hotels. This isn't it. Not even CLOSE. Will never go back. I spent over $500 for 2 nights. Awful.

The property was extremely clean.. the rooms were satisfyingly comfortable.. the bed linens were soft and clean the pillows were perfect.. the complementary breakfast was amazing..!! What a great find

We rented 3 rooms, and all of them were spotless. The beds were heavenly, the staff was great, and so was the breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I think this place is beautiful. It has amazing views. My only issue was I was working on my laptop when I was surprised my a huge cockroach. It was gross and scary. I was moved to a new room (the room below) and given a free drink voucher. The restaurant was delicious and the staff was super friendly. This place would have been prefect for that minus issue. Which for me it’s a big thing.

No real housekeeping service. We did not even get a choice. Did not see food replenished at breakfast. Front desk was friendly and so were the housekeepers we met in the hall

Stayed in a King River View room and WOW it did not disappoint. Comfortable, clean, and an amazing view to wake up to!

The room we had was very cramped. The closet was above the refrigerator and coffee maker. It was hidden behind the barn door to the bathroom. I requested a different room but they claimed none was available. She mentioned my expedia discount which made me think it was because of this that I was given this small room.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast comfortable beds. The only drawback was that the rooms we were staying in were relatively small. I would stay again.

Hotel was very nice!! It had a perfect blend of cool vibe from being an 1800s mill, but, was extremely modern and very clean! Our room had a view of the river, the shower pressure was amazing, and the bed was very comfortable! Love the touches of the old mill in the check-in area. My wife and I enjoy walking around new cities and the riverwalk gave us a nice, 1 mile walk to lots of restaurants and coffee shops. The river is on one side and the riverwalk is a nice, paved area with walkers, runners, and cyclists. We walked to dinner at night and walked out for coffee the next morning! Would definitely recommend and we look forward to going back and staying here again!!

We loved the location and beautiful facilities. Our room was very clean, very spacious and the exposed beams and brick provided extra charm. Several items in our room didn’t work- one of the outlets by the bed wasn’t functioning and the curtains wouldn’t close because they had come off the tracking system at the top. This was very annoying as the sun started to rise earlier than we had planned to get up and flooded the room with light. We will certainly be back, though. This was one of our favorite hotels we have ever visited!

Gorgeous place. Room was very well designed, clean, and comfortable.

With the exception of no safe in the room, everything was pretty good. Also wish we were given a room with a view of the river.

Loved how this spot was so clean, quiet, and still had great access to the dragonfly greenway trail along the Chattahoochee River. Having breakfast included was very helpful in the mornings as well. Bed was clean, bathroom was clean, workspace was helpful and all the outlets I needed to use worked. Bonus: theres a yoga studio on property thats a must as well as the restaurant also attached to the premises.

Phenomenal in every facet! From the moment we checked in until we left, absolutely amazing service and experience! The hotel was clean and located right on the riverwalk! Views were great. Breakfast was good and easy, nice patio to eat outside! The staff were great! Allowed us to lock up our bikes where they could be viewed and someone was at front desk 24/7. I felt safe leaving my bikes locked on truck BUT this made us feel even better!!! Can not say enough good things about this hotel. Our dog loved it too!!! If I ever go back to Columbus this will be where we stay!

Above our expectations ... wonderful hotel and great friendly staff.

This was my first stay at this property, and it quickly became my home away from home. From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely cared for. The lady at the front desk noticed how hot I was and immediately offered me a bottle of cold water. After check-in, we had a lovely chat, and she even walked me to the elevator. That level of hospitality truly set the tone for the rest of my stay. Every staff member I encountered greeted me with a smile. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was peaceful and welcoming. I stayed in Room 406, which offered a beautiful view of the Chattahoochee River, Mercer University, and the historic building that houses the Mill-House Kitchen & Bar. The room was spotless, stylish, and quiet—so quiet, in fact, that I didn’t hear a sound the entire weekend. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel room, complete with blackout curtains, a large flat-screen TV, and a small refrigerator (note: no microwave). The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well-stocked. Breakfast exceeded expectations. The butter croissants were fresh and flaky, and there was a great variety: grits, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, ham, and plenty of juice and coffee. Ms. Peggy, who was overseeing breakfast, was an absolute delight. She sat and chatted with my husband and me while the room was quiet, and we ended up sharing a wonderful conversation and plenty of laughs. She truly made our morning special. I highly recommend this little gem to anyone.

I always enjoy staying at City Mills when visiting family. There were a few hiccups at check in, but management went above and beyond to make things right. The unique and beautiful property, the excellent onsite restaurant Millhouse Kitchen, and the friendliest and most professional staff anywhere (Michael, Peggy, Summer, Kiana)make a stay at City Mills a wonderful experience!

Clean room with a great view and the front desk was very helpful

The hotel was amazing! Every staff member we spoke with from check in to dinner to breakfast and checkout were so friendly and helpful. The room was so unique and comfortable. It was a great location with a gorgeous view. We definitely want to stay there again.

Front desk staff member was superb and welcoming truly impressed and will be back. Ashley took are of our room went beyond the cleaning felt like home away from home, truly appreciate attention to detail with our room.

I did not even stay here or check in. I called them and explained there must have been a problem with Expedia sight. Expedia is trying to help. The General Manager was terrible this is an absolute scam when I spoke to him. They charged me full price for 2 night.

Okay. So everything was perfect... except that there were serious problems with security. Twice we had people just barge right into our room. On both occasions it was staff and it was clearly some sort of mix-up. But that shouldn't have happened. My wife and I were at various states of undress when this happened and although no one saw us naked, it could have been much worse. We addressed our concerns to the general manager and he did an excellent job of responding. We could not have asked for a better response. He refunded us one night stay, which was rather expensive for them, and he apologized profusely. We will definitely stay there again and give them another shot. Other than that issue, everything was superb.

Everyone we encountered was very nice and helpful. The room was excellent and we WILL be coming back to stay there again. It was everything as advertised and more!!!

Great location, great hotel! We had a lovely time in this fun, sophisticated hotel on the river, right on Columbus' Riverwalk. Friendly, professional staff, comfortable and well-appointed room, and a nice breakfast that we enjoyed on the outside terrace overlooking the Chattahoochee. Good bar and restaurant (the Mill House) right on the property. Great for a weekend getaway!

The City Mill property was beautiful! The area seemed to be in a bad part of town. There was close-ish dining but did not feel safe walking.

Great hotel just north of downtown. Right on the riverwalk which was awesome. 10-15 minute walk to downtown and beautiful walk up the riverwalk headed North. Great staff, well kept hotel. We live in Atlanta, this is a great short get away for the weekend.

Enjoyed the property and it's uniqueness. Room was exceptional, comfortable and great size. Bar was nice and view was even better. We enjoy walking to restaurants and it was doable for us. I would not walk during the night time alone. Will definitely go back!

Beautiful rooms and location. The restaurant was great. Breakfast was okay, but more of a continental breakfast than a full breakfast.

Would like to see more options for breakfast. Also breakfast could have more meat options outside of pork. Most people getting away from pork. Other than that I enjoyed the coffee oh and the snacks went so fast we didn’t get any.

This hotel is a gem! I thoroughly enjoyed the location-on the river next to the riverwalk with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the view. I loved the hotel's ambiance and our room. The bed was comfortable with nice linens and pillows, the room was spotless, and the rainhead on the shower and a nespresso machine were thoughtful amenities to the room. The only slight disappointment was at breakfast-the biscuits and gravy served were not good, but the coffee/cappuccino/latte machine and pastries made up for it. I would definitely stay again.

Very glad we chose City Mills, super cute boutique style stay. The restaurant was wonderful. Whoever did the remodel left enough history to give it lots of character. Would definitely stay again.

So the amenities in the room were not functioning. In addition several lightbulbs had issues leaking excessively. Restaurant was absolutely horrible staff was very friendly but food was a poor quality for the price that they charge for it. To be quite honest McDonald's food was better.
