The location on the lake is awesome but no bar to be able to enjoy a drink on the beautiful patio. Bathroom is dated...not an ADA toilet.

Staff greeted us with big smiles and were so friendly. The whole place was clean and welcoming. Our room was quiet and comfortable. We were right by the elevator but heard no extra noise! The fitness center was well stocked and clean! Unfortunately the hot tub was closed for maintenance but we managed to warm up by the fire pit outside instead. The shower tub was quite deep/tall, so something to note if you have height and/or mobility concerns. The hot breakfast was a great way to start a day of hiking and sight seeing! Will definitely be back again!

Tommy was clean but bathroom sink had whiskers left in it. Yuk! Also the pool opens at 9 am. That is way too late for early birds that need to exercise in the morning. Very inconvenient

A central hub with expansive lobby, breakfast area and lakeside lounge with lakewalk patio- even a gathering nook overlooking the lobby! Generous amount of common space for gathering to socialize- great for multi family meet-up! Features classy upscale lodge decor in mission style that’s comfortable and cozy. Pool and hot tub area were top notch. Fitness area and equipment were well maintained. Rooms were large with all the right accommodations. We’ll be back!

I thought the beds were comfortable and the morning breakfast was quite good and had a number of options. Now about the cleanliness. By all appearances it was clean, however upon getting ready to get into bed on the first night we discovered a pair of dirty socks between the bed and the end table. The desk clerk came and removed them, but you just don't forget something like that so it did tamper the rest of our stay. And this compounded to a previous visit several years back where a used band aid was found under a foot stool. Therefore, this is the reason for my rating of poor for cleanliness.

Room was pretty clean tub could’ve used a little bit more attention near the knob to turn water on was a long black hair. I’m a blonde short hair and that’s about the only issue but the room was comfortable clean didn’t smell. The staff providing food was stellar the people who were working to keep the place clean were friendly and hard-working. Check-in was and checkout was quick. I really like the place and would gladly come back.

Typically I love staying here but this particular stay was not up to the standards that previous stays had set. Our room was not ready on time and though they did move us to a lake view room it was the worst smelling room I’ve ever encountered. Smelled like B.O. and sour milk. It just felt dirty and like the cleaning had been rushed. I’d come back for another stay but I’d be super picky about the quality of my room next time.

Great location. Large room. The only issues we encountered were the body wash shampoo etc was too difficult to use. Be aware if you are a senior citizen with weak hands. One of the housekeepers kindly gave me small bottles when I explained the problem. One night someone in one of the next rooms continually banged the door shut at 2:30 a.m. The hotel is very comfortable with a spacious lounge area. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

It’s all good except 2 things: the walls are just paper thin- we could hear the ppl next door talking at a normal volume. Also the price is just crazy for what you get - but I guess that’s Duluth now

Checking in was a delight. The employee was very polite and welcoming. We stated that we were 3 hours early and she cheerfully stated that there was a room ready for us. The room was exceptionally clean and very spacious. The king bed was extremely comfortable and we slept in it as well as we do at home. The breakfast was delicious with a selection of everything you would want to eat for breakfast. I would recommend Canal Park Lodge as the best and lowest priced hotel in the Canal setting.

Have stayed here many times before. Like it very much. This time our greeting at the desk was very cold and unwelcoming - not our usual treatment. We were the only ones there so its not like she was busy. Didn't let it spoil our stay Clean spotless rooms, comfy and quiet. Beautiful views. We will be back.

I was staying in room 141, just checked out. From the beginning of checking in to check out ALL the staff at the front desk has been nothing but accomadatinx, kind, and overall amazing. Im a single mom struggling and needed a night away from the cities with my girl and they tried to get me an earlier check in and today with the qeathwr they let me do a late check out so that we could ride out the storm and atay to shop and be by the beach a bit longer. I dont have enough words to thank the whole staff for how great they were to me and i hope it gets passed on to them just how much my heart needed and appreciated the kindness.

Great location and friendly staff! Walkable to everything great views! Asked for a fire outside to watch the sunrise and staff was quick to accommodate and even looked up the ship schedule for us. Would definitely recommend!

The Canal Park Lodge is perfectly located for all things in Duluth. The view of Lake Superior is breathtaking. And the staff is top notch. Breakfast is one of the best you will find. And the brewery is next door!! Absolutely a perfect stay at Canal Park Lodge. I will definitely stay here everytime I'm in Duluth.

Great hotel and a great location! The room was quiet, clean and the beds were comfy. The pool and hot tub area was very clean and spacious. The location was perfect. We were able to walk right out to the beach to throw rocks in the water and we were right by the lake walk which was convenient to walk down to the Lift Bridge (around a 10 minute walk) to watch ships come in. We enjoyed being close to Canal Brewery, Caribou coffee and Pizza Luce, which were all short walks from the hotel. The free warm breakfast was great as well and had a lot of options. Highly recommend!

The location is convenient for being able to walk around both canal park and to access downtown and the Fitger's complex. The outdoor seating area was clean and ample with great views. All staff that we came across, including housekeeping, was super pleasant and greeted us every time we saw them.

We enjoyed our stay, and the property is very charming. It was clean and the staff was very welcoming. We were surprised to find there were no charging stations for our technology. It would have been nice to know we needed to bring chargers with a plug. Also, at breakfast, the hashbrowns were never refilled. You could tell everyone was waiting around for them. They sounded so good "cheesy hashbrowns...yum!" so it was a disappointment not to have them refilled.

Perfect location for our needs as we were intown for an event at the arena. Hotel was clean and front desk staff was friendly. Hallways smelled a bit musty but its winter. Didn't use the pool but the lounge area overlooking the water was great! The continental breakfast was terrible, still not sure what the "hashbrowns" were... overall nice hotel but skip free breakfast amd go out to eat.
