The check in person was very kind and accommodating. I had early check in, very easy parking, and a lovely time at the pool. When I called in advance to ask about the pool, they took the time to ask the building engineer about the pool temperature. You can walk to many shops, a grocery store, a theater, an inviting green space. My Tesla conveniently charged in the parking lot. I was never concerned for my safety. Everything seems spotless but I would recommend avoiding air fresheners in the elevator.

While a little further from the University (only 10-15 minutes) I appreciated the cleanliness and ease of the hotel. I loved that they had a charging port for my car! I will stay there again. Also great pillows!

We booked the hotel because it has swimming pool, but when we arrived there was no swimming pool ( closed for maintenance). We( my kids) were so disappointed.

Did not have the breakfast . The parking was good and totally safe. I just got a credit card charge that is $100 dollars, exactly, higher that the quoted rate. I did charge 2 bottles of water to the room but that was all.

Hyatt Places are usually very solid when traveling, and the Hyatt in Charlottesville is no different. My stay here was overall excellent! The rooms were clean and spacious, and the amenities were great as well. Beds were comfortable, and showers were warm. My only complaint about this place is that a small blood stain was found on two pillows… looked like a bloody nose or something. It wasn’t terrible, but I obviously had to switch pillows. The area around the hotel was cool and walkable… some fancier shopping and restaurants.

Nice room. Bath tub did not drain at all. Cheap rubber floor mat rolled up with hair all over it in corner. Disgusting and not hygienic at all

Now this may be just just certain rooms, or just us, as ours was a corner room, but AC was ridiculously loud, and had to go on and off every couple minutes. Don't try to watch TV at a reasonable level. I've been in quieter no-tell motels with window AC units and frankly would have preferred one for the price of the place. The fridge was not really cold and was probably missing a foot as it just wobbles around in the cabinet. On positive note, nice staff, good breakfast, and lots of EV chargers!

Hyatt Place is a very nice hotel. The room was very clean and spacious. I would stay there again. My only complaint is the heating unit was extremely loud. If you stay, request to not have room 630, unless they've attended to the heating unit. The fact that the heating unit was noisy is the only reason I didn't give a 5-star rating.

Our stay at the Hyatt was pretty pleasant. Perfect location and walkable to shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, they were doing construction and the noise every morning woke us up and was very loud and annoying. If construction was not going on, I would have rated my stay 5 stars.

A bit smaller than our usual Hyatt room but it was okay. Comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast was good but done at precisely 9 so our granddaughter missed it be 5 minutes.

It was a confusing time as there was a computer glitch (nationwide) woth flights being cancelled, etc. None of the room keys worked, so the front desk had to escort you to your room each time you left and came back in. Just a little awkward.

Lovely hotel with the friendliest housekeeping staff. The front desk staff however leaves a lot to be desired. Never said “hello”, if we asked for something it was as though we were bothering them, particularly the lady on the night shift. Just not very pleasant and when that is your 1st and last impression….no bueno! Also, wish the lobby had complimentary coffee later in the day.

Did not accept my card at check in. Having a slight problem and there is no manager in sight that whole weekend. The first night I wanted to try out there 24/7 dinner and it was closed. During checkout they charge my card three different times overdrafting my account. Very disappointed.

The staff was nice and the room was clean. My remote for the tv ran out of battery power and it was not clear in the phone how to reach the front desk. When I finally reached them they said no one was available to bring batteries. It was night I was ready for bed but had to go to the lobby myself to collect batteries.

This hotel is well positioned if you want to stay away from the UVA campus. The room is standard, really nothing special, clean, toiletries are the kind that are hanged in the shower, on the wall. The breakfast would have been decent, but they ran out of certain foods 45 min before time , there is no lunch or dinner restaurant ( the person at the desk told me we can order from an online menu and they will bring it to us ?!) There is construction going on across the street from the main entrance so we woke up at 7 AM in a terrible noise. This might go away soon but at the rate of building nowadays ….it is hard to say…we mid visited February 2023… The reception staff was really apathetic, somehow bothered by our few questions. The only really nice person was a lady who was helping with the breakfast in the morning. She seemed genuinely embarrassed they ran out of food…. They are definitely understaffed. If you just need a clean place to stay the night, that could be the place, but definitely not 5/5 like I saw in other reviews.

Liked - good size rooms & bathrooms, and a good shower. Breakfast was good, range of hot and cold foods. Lots of parking places. Some good restaurants nearby. Didn't like - cold water tap in bathroom never ran cold. Breakfast: ran out of plates & cutlery, but were quick to fix the problem. Staff at reception weren't always that friendly.
