Had to stay here last minute for one night and saw parking was not included but offsite parking was close and affordable. The parking lot seemed sketchy so I secured my expensive belongings and brought them with me. Next morning for checking found my car was not only broken into but my rear window and side window smashed. My other priority and clothes were stolen. I reported to staff and was told I needed a police report to do anything. Came back out and saw 4 more guest had their cars broken into as well. So I spent $30 to park my car and get broken into and spend hundred of dollars out of pocket to repair. A simple night trying to get myself back together turned from 125$ trip to now over $1,000. Won’t be back

Clean, basic room with all the necessities. Walking distance to LA nightlife venues like the Orpheum. Drawback: no on site parking, but there is a secure covered garage (with overnight parking) that is walking distance. Good value, would stay here again.

We loved our stay , the property was amazing with 2 bars . One on the main floor and one on the rooftop . Only wish the bar opened a bit earlier. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looks amazing as well . Over all great place, would go back again .

In general a cool boutique hotel in a central location. Waking up to the DTLA skyline is always a super cool experience. However, the carpets are filthy, the rooftop bar wasn't open during the posted hours and the door code system was an absolute nightmare. My codes (elevator and room) changed daily, and one night after returning around 3AM my code didn't work at all. Front desk person treated me like I was an idiot until after 15 minutes discovered an IT issue with my specific room. Never once was I able to enter my room or use the elevator without complications. TLDR: Clean the carpets, adhere to bar opening hours and get rid of the horrible door code system and this hotel will rule.

It was relaxing for a couple nights. Bed was unique but comfortable. Like the toiletries, especially the face mask. Don't go to the small little taco place unless you want tac-kets! The tacos are very very small. I could see the Jesus save sign right out my window. I liked the pool because there was barely anyone there. Overall, a good experience!

It was a Friday night and it’s very close to a nightclub which played music all night. The room had ear plugs provided. We picked this because it is walking distance to the Belasco Theater so that was perfect. There’s a cafe attached but it was closed Saturday morning but free coffee was provided on the counter there. When we got inside the room, it looked like our room wasn’t clean, dirty carpets, stains on the pillow sheets, shower was dirty, we didn’t even bother staying here and are trying to get a refund.

The room was clean but was not comparable to the picture online. The walls, furniture, and floor were banged up and not new. The toilet is literally in a rectangle box on the side of the room. Only plus was that it was next door to our venue. The price was not worth it.

The room had a strong smell of mold, and the beds felt humid. We found a mold stain on one of the pillows. I placed a complaint, and they sent someone to replace the pillows and blankets. When we returned, the smell was less, and we noticed the windows were open. They offered a $90 reimbursement for the inconvenience, but that did not solve the smell. I mentioned this to the concierge, who said there might be a chance to relocate us to a new room, but that never happened. We booked a double room but only received a single when we got there. This made our trip uncomfortable. Also the open bathroom was not comfortable for people sharing the room together as there was no barrier to hearing bathroom noises and smells. There was a window in the shower, which was also very open to the room. The window could only be blocked by a cloth shade that had to be pulled down as the chain was broken.

This place is nothing like it shows in the pictures. Just forget that lovely balcony they use to promote themselves. Also they were not helpful at all - I complained about noise on the first evening, never got another room. After a while I realised it was because I was next to the very loud elevator. This is the worst hotel I've been to.

I stay in hotels very frequently, and this was the oddest hotel I’ve ever been in. Very sterile feeling, we joked that it felt like we were staying in a prison cell or dorm. The whole vibe is supposed to be industrial I suppose, but it feels cold and sad. The furniture and room set up is drab and unusual, the bed is very low to the ground and the mattress is very thin and firm, we struggled with comfortable sleep. The shower has no curtain or door, and if someone in the room uses the toilet you can hear everything lol. We were on a high floor and there was a dance club or something going on above us and the super loud music went pretty late and kept us up. There’s not obvious signage for the place either. Location was fine, and it was clean…just not our style at all.

My stay was good but there were some things to note here. 1-2 elevators was down so there was only 1 working elevator which was rouhgh because the 1 that was working took a long time to come to the floor that was called so I had to use the stairs to go to the 4th floor where my room was. The shower in the room was open to the room & see through so it wasn't enclosed or private. I'm 6 ft 3 & the bed in the room was very low to the floor which was a bit odd, the lighting in the room wasn't great either & the room could use more lighting. There was also no iron or ironing board in the room to iron clothes which some hotels seem to have & some don't. The hotel is also right in front of a very busy street & it is quite loud but at late night time after 11:00pm it got a bit quitier as far as street noise during the sleeping hours.

This was my first time staying at a KASA property. They send you literal step by step instructions that are easy to follow, and they included pictures as well. I actually love not having to go to a front desk to check in and get a key. They give you a code to get into the room. When we entered the room we noticed that the ac control wouldn’t turn on and one of the batteries was corroded. I reached out to the KASA team and they reached out to maintenance on my behalf. They were very thorough in what would happen and how they would fix it. This team made my stay very easy. Checkout was just as easy as checking in. The only negative I have is the parking area. Downtown LA itself is kind of dirty and the parking garage they mentioned in the check in instructions seemed sketchy and smelled like urine. Not KASA’s fault at all, I would just look elsewhere to park.

The staff of the DTLA STILE were the best! We arrived, after all the digital hoops the hotel uses for check in, a bit skeptical. One room for our son and friend was as expected. Our second room, for my husband and myself was ajar, with tv on bed and construction repairs in progress. I returned to the front desk for help. Israel (Izzy) was amazing. After many attempts to make the reservation system allow us a new room Izzy successfully managed our room mishap. Izzy, Chris and Brandon all made our weekend shopping vintage experience feel exceptional and memorable for the right reasons. Absolutely will return.

The hotel is nice, but the whole check in process is complicated and invasive. They are focused in advance check in and insist on providing a selfie, which makes me feel uncomfortable. No hotel should be asking for this. They can look at my ID when I show up to make sure that's me. I cannot see myself staying here again due to this procedure.

Chris helped us in a challenging registration process. It took us and Stiles onsite staff 1 hour to navigate the online registration. The staff's hands were tied due to a completely automated system. After 1 hour we were checked with no problem. Smooth sailing from there.

In general a cool boutique hotel in a central location. Waking up to the DTLA skyline is always a super cool experience. However, the carpets are filthy, the rooftop bar wasn't open during the posted hours and the door code system was an absolute nightmare. My codes (elevator and room) changed daily, and one night after returning around 3AM my code didn't work at all. Front desk person treated me like I was an idiot until after 15 minutes discovered an IT issue with my specific room. Never once was I able to enter my room or use the elevator without complications. TLDR: Clean the carpets, adhere to bar opening hours and get rid of the horrible door code system and this hotel will rule.

The rooms are incredibly dated. I chose and paid for a room based off of the photos the website provided. It was not the room I received. When I inquired about it, I was ignored. They have no phones in the room, so anything you need, you need to text this ridiculous text system they have setup. I had issues and demanded a manager, there was none. Our room had no hot water. The first day I expressed this, they sent maintanence to our room and the issue was not resolved so then we were emailed a $30 gift certificate. How insulting! Day two, they sent maintanence to our room while we were gone, despite me very clearly texting not to. Then they sent more maintanence men once we were back, issue was never resolved. When I asked to switch rooms, they ignored me. I then received a text offering me an extended stay. LOL! What kind of warped game is this place playing? No parking. Hotel is in the heart of DTLA so there is tons of homeless people.

I was flying in late so hesitant because they don’t have front desk staff 24/7. The process was very easy and I actually used the staff more because I could just text them. A great stay and very nice staff members. A quieter hotel than other big names bordering the freeways.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.Also, the hotel was cute and clean itself.I loved my room. Keep in mind. You are in the middle of downtown l. A, so it is loud. It is dirty.There are lots of homeless.If you don't mind that, then it's a great place to stay with reasonable pricing

Not too far from the subway stops and near great dining. Broadway can be a bit sketchy, though, especially at night. It felt relatively safe, nevertheless. Great modern vibe in a historic setting!

Clean, basic room with all the necessities. Walking distance to LA nightlife venues like the Orpheum. Drawback: no on site parking, but there is a secure covered garage (with overnight parking) that is walking distance. Good value, would stay here again.

Stayed here for a concert at the United Theater, conveniently situated next door! Room was great and staff service excellent. Downtown LA is not the safest area, but that's to be expected. I would stay here again for a concert in the area.

Love this place because it's dog friendly and convenient to all my favorite spots in downtown. I stay here whenever I'm in town with my pups. Rooms are a goos size and check in is a breeze. You just go straighr to your eoom using the check in details they text you.

Excellent customer service and accomodations. Very let friendly. Bar/coffee shop had challenging hours that didn't work well for our time so that was disappointing. Rooftop area was great! Rooms were clean and overall quiet, some nightly noise but to be expected in such a large city.

Really enjoyed this spot! It was a bit loud at night, and some stains in the carpet, but the included white noise speaker helped drown that out. We were a little confused at first because the check-in process was so different. Would have been nice to have a latch on the bathroom door to keep it from creeping open. The staff were incredibly friendly and the coffee shop downstairs was great. They fixed a problem in our room within 15 minutes of making the maintenance call. Great week in LA with a restaurant, bar, barber shop, and plenty of shopping all within 1-2 blocks walking distance. Park in the Athena Parking to get your car off the street, but check the hours to make sure the gates don't close before you need to leave in the evening.

This was my first time in LA, so I really had to depend on reviews to find a place to stay for the 1.5 days I was here. The STILE did not disappoint. The room was clean, the place itself was clean. I loved the espresso cafe one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Raspberry cream cheese danish amazing. The staff was friendly. I was afraid because of how low the bed was that it would be uncomfortable and it was not. The water pressure and temperature of the shower was perfect for me. Comfortable walking distance to a lot of places. If I had to complain about anything it would be the elevator. As far as if it wanted me to put the code in or not. Sometimes it would move without the code other times it required the code. Also, the outside noise ( they do provide a white noise machine and ear plugs which did help a little ) I know they can’t control this , being woken up @ 7am by a lady yelling at the top of her lungs at someone was a bit much. Would I stay here again? I plan on it !

We enjoyed our stay in a balcony king room. The hotel is quite unique and very retro with newer updates. The bed was so comfortable and the restaurant next door, Zinque was very good. We had both dinner and breakfast there. The rooftop bar, Sauced, serves wine, beer, and tapas. It’s styled very nicely and is convenient.

The stay was exceptional. The building and location is exquisitely historical and you get a feel like you are back in the 1920's with an elegant, but not overbearing, touch of modernism and high tech accommodation features, and a virtual front desk. The staff on site were amazing... In fact the word "amazing" doesnt do them justice. They were above and beyond on every occasion. Especially Brandon Young (front desk, security and knowledgeable extraordinaire). Sarah, the coffee master barista who would concuct drinks that are heavenly to the taste buds and Nathalie, the kindest most courteous soul one could meet. I will definitely be coming again.

We loved our stay , the property was amazing with 2 bars . One on the main floor and one on the rooftop . Only wish the bar opened a bit earlier. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looks amazing as well . Over all great place, would go back again .

Really loved our stay here. The room and hotel lobby were always clean, and I really liked the vibe and style. All the staff we interacted with were super nice and helpful. In the lobby they had a small cafe and a Korean pop-up restaurant that was delicious! There was a bus stop across the street and it wasn't too far from metro central for the trains. There are a bunch of cafes and restaurants within walking distance that were all great. My husband and I already decided when we left that if we travel to LA in the future we will stay here again

Very well priced, refurbished classic building, good coffee (free) and very friendly staff. No one at front desk for late check in, you have to check in on line by taking a picture of both sides of your ID and filling out a bit of info and you receive a code to the front door and a code for your room. Room is what I would call industrial chic. Downtown LA there is not the most appealing place but there are good dining and shops nearby.

The hotel renovations were definitely an upgrade. I think this increases the value of the hotel. The biggest issue is parking. They should by Joe’s Auto Parking lot nearby & use that for the hotel’s own safe parking lot.
