Service was excellent. Room was very victorian really enjoyed it. Parking was a bit difficult. Just make sure you drop your bags off before you park, so you don't have to carry them a few blocks. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience. Very very clean. Very very inviting

Very charming and well-kept building with the loveliest staff! I appreciated the easy walk to/from Suburban station (~15 mins) and the city's main attractions, including the Independence Historical and Parkway museum districts (~30 mins north and east respectively), as well as plenty of restaurant options. I was in a top floor room and while there is no elevator, the stair flights are short so I had no issues with moderate-sized luggage. The weekday continental breakfast was solid. I would definitely look to stay here again if I'm ever in Philly.

Only downside is no elevator. Great rooms. View of the street below. A/C keeps it perfect in summer. Lots of places to eat, shop & local museum makes it perfect for walking. Close to bus routes, one drops you at the corner at night. Buses & one subway line are close. Barber shops & nail salons to keep yourself fresh. Busy neighborhood at times when you are out walking. Good breakfast can last about a week before getting repetitive. Weekends are a bit more diverse. Kind, respectful & friendly staff.

The hotel is very friendly, Maria was great and welcoming. You feel it is a family residence. My concern is that there is no elevator and I had a shared bathroom that I felt a little bit uncomfortable.

The absolute only issue I had with the cleanliness, and this isn’t a big deal but the ceiling fan in my room had quite a bit of dust on the top of it, which happens. Nobody remembers the ceiling fan. Just a quick dusting of the ceiling fans and I would’ve given it 10 out of 10 for cleanliness

The location is wonderful . The facility is old and very quaint. The breakfast was very good. The carpet in our room was dirty from old age and needs replacement. Overall it is a lovely place to stay if one wants to walk around Philadelphia. It is accessible to many things. The owner is working hard to keep it up.

When uli arrived i noticed the ceiling had a crack and was sagging. Later that evening when we walked in the room about 10 feet x 6 feet of the ceiling collapsed. Pieces of debris were all over the room. Luckily we were not in the room as the heavy debris was directly over the bed. The handy man came in and i had to find a new place to stay. Needs renovation .

My wife and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at La Reserve. Our unit was large and comfortable. The Rittenhouse Square was interesting, and we felt safe. Our bathroom rug was not clean, and the breakfast area could use a good cleaning. Staff was all helpful. We would return if staying in Philadelphia again.

The Bed and Breakfast was a nice boutique hotel in Philadelphia. It is located in an older row house. The beds were comfortable with nice pillows,towels and bathrobes were provided. One of the rooms that faced the front of the property you could hear the noise from the street. Both rooms and hallway and stairs had creaky floors, which woke us up several times during the night when the other guests got up. The bathroom had mold around the base of the shower and the floor.

What a place! Such a cool bed and breakfast in the heart of the city! It was clean, quiet and peaceful and the room was nice (despite being the only room that wasn’t color coordinated) the breakfast was basic but some items were really good like the fresh fruit, coffee cake and muffin. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place is creaky and possibly haunted but that just adds to the charm. I love this place and would definitely come back.

My stay at La Reserve was excellent. I was able to check in early, and was provided with some upgrade options if desired on my arrival. I stayed with what I booked, the Le Chateau room, and was not disappointed. The room was spacious and beautiful, with high ceilings and a comforting design. AC was easy to use. You share a bathroom with the other room on the floor, but there was never any issue. I had wonderful sleeps, and the breakfast provided, especially on Saturday, was delicious. I would absolutely stay here again on my next trip.

Historic building just outside of Rittenhouse Square. My room was up three flights of stairs, so heavy luggage havers, keep that in mind. Bed was VERY comfortable, but windows let in a lot of noise from outside. I personally liked that, but it can be disturbing at night. Breakfasts were tasty and quick! No TV or mini-fridge in the room, outlets are sparse.

Shout out to Dennis for his great food, stores, and foos recommendations. Thw property manager also checked on me before i arrived and made sure my stay was top notch. If you are staying here you are already OK with the concept...super old and creaky. Its basically clean, my room was fine. The price reflects the room. The front desk is pretty much never there, so if you need anything you need to call. At least one person at front desk was pretty rough, literally yelling at me on the phone about how its OK to block all traffic to unload. Weird. My second room had no TV and shared bathroom, which for me was an experience, but again, the price reflected that. Breakfast starts way too late. 7:45 im gone already.

I wish she had been part of the next day’s crew - no one showed up to prepare breakfast (this IS supposed to be a Bed & BREAKFAST) … many guests got fed up waiting and had to go out to purchase breakfast elsewhere. No adjustments in price were offered for this inconvenience. What should have been a very enjoyable visit turned out to be disappointing. I expect this does not happen very often (especially because Maja was a magnificent hostess), but I do believe there should be an apology (and a partial refund) forthcoming from management. I hope they do the right thing - that would make me eager to return. Without that, I would never return to or recommend staying there.

Great check in and overall very friendly staff who made every effort to make my stay comfortable. Only reason for the 4 stars is a pretty basic continental breakfast and no coffee in my large suite with kitchen…somehow I expect that now at decent B&B. But a GREAT location and very nice rooms at decent prices so I would def recommend.

My stay here was okay. The staff and service was great! I was really disappointed with the breakfast tho, that was honestly the reason why I booked this place because I didn’t want to go out in the morning and buy breakfast. The breakfast was terrible, the “buffet” had apples and oranges, pastries you find at the store, yogurt, and cereal. It was nothing like the reviews said. I stayed here on a weekday, Maybe they only serve nice breakfast on the weekends?? Another thing I was disappointed with was the lack of amenities. They don’t have a TV, a mini fridge or microwave in the room. Just be aware to not bring stuff that needs to be put in a fridge or microwaved.

This was everything we could have wanted in a Bed and Breakfast. We had a nice, spacious, comfortable room. They communicated with us in advance to ensure we had a smooth check-in (we were arriving late).
