There hotel is OK overall and is worth about 3 stars. It is good for an overnight but I would not stay long term. The room we had was fine and clean, other than some staying in the carpet. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well lit. If you have much luggage you really need a first floor room as their is no elevator.

Hotel was nice, but my husband immediately saw the notice that the hotel is not responsible for theft or vandalism in their parking lot. Where do you park then? Asked the agent (behind plexiglass) and he stated they used to have problems and the police do patrol. Just made us a bit uncomfortable, but everything else was fine.

Le Chabrol is the perfect place if you don’t want an expensive hotel. The staff is great, the room is really good, and it’s so clean. You don’t need to walk anywhere; the bus stop is in front, and the grocery store is as well.

Le Chabrol is good value for the traveller staying for a few nights in west-end Montreal. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There's parking if you drive. The STM #90 bus passes by and offers good service east and west. The staff speak both languages. I was happy with my two nights at Le Chabrol.

The hotel is terrible… Our beds had women’s hair all over them when we checked in, but the staff was really nice and quickly changed everything when we told them — they were genuinely apologetic. That said, the bedsheets and pillow covers have definitely seen better days and are long overdue for retirement, though it seems management hasn’t realized that yet. The hair dryer only made noise but didn’t blow any air, and in the morning the flush stopped working. To top it off, the water pressure dropped completely while my partner still had shampoo in their hair — what a nightmare! The only good thing I can say is that they offered a free electric vehicle charging point, which was helpful. The staff themselves were lovely — honestly, they’re the ones holding the place together. But overall, it’s definitely not worth $200 a night. I’d appreciate a refund

The only thing that I saw about the suites were the cleanliness. The carpets were really dirty and the carpet were smelling bad too. And i ended up going to the front desk to get a different room but ended up getting an air freshener as they didn’t have any rooms available.

Upon arrival we checked in and walked to our room, there were stains in the fridge, in the bathroom (if it was wiped down properly those stains wouldn’t have been there) There was hair on the carpets, we were not impressed. We got another room, it still wasn’t very clean but better than the last room. I’m usually not one to complain- but when you’re paying to stay somewhere you’d expect the room to be cleaned properly.

La chambre était belle et semblait propre au premier coup d'oeil. Le bain à remous fonctionnait bien et le foyer aussi. Par contre, la douche giclait mal, le silicone autour était moisi et il y avait un jet d'excrément au mur à côté de la toilette. Puis, une odeur régnait dans la pièce et les draps n'étaient pas confortables, très rudes sur la peau. Sinon, c'était bien.. en espérant que les draps étaient propres!

no one at reception initially. somone showed up after 15 mins. room was not great. the sofa was ripped, you can see the visible damage to it, it was torn. the fridge in the room didnt work.

The room was very dated. It’s stuck in the 60’s and the finishes were probably installed in the 60’s too. The shower head leaked. The sink fixture was loose and had a very slow drain.

Clean, cute rooms that are comfortable and stylish. The one significant downside of this hotel is the noise. The walls are thin, and the door does not block out much sound. Don't stay here if you are a light sleeper!

Nice hotel with superb staff outside downtown Montreal. Has many parking spots on site. The staff was helpful to come back to my room to return my power bank which I left it at the reception. The room is modern and well equipped with heating and air conditioning. They also have a complimentary breakfast on site!

Waited 30 minutes to check-in, no one at the front desk and 4 people ahead of us waiting. Called the reception phone number listed on their website, phone rang for 5 minutes, no one answered and it wasn't ringing at the front desk - no idea where the call went?! This is more of a motel, not a hotel. Booked a handicapped room and was given a room on the second floor with no elevator!!! Couldn't wait to check out only to be served by a 'nightshift' staff at 6:am who was absolutely miserable, he must hate his job - completely unhelpful.

Arrived at the property early, hoping to receive an early check in and advised the room would not be available until 3pm. We returned at 3:15pm for our 3pm checkin time and our room was still not ready. The lady working the front desk was rude. When we finally got our room key she gave NO direction on how to get to our room at all; gave us the key and walked away. However, the man on checkout was very polite and friendly.

It was ok for what you pay for. Just a place to sleep while you are out all day, close to Concordia University that we were visiting. Bus stop was right outside the hotel and took you directly to the Metro. Super C was also right across the road if you need any groceries.

Ok place if you’re driving Not located near restaurants or pubs etc. If you open the curtain to your room you’ll have people immediately outside your window as there is an exterior walkway. Busy truck route out front. If you just need a place to sleep it’s ok. Staff is kind.

The area around the hotel is not great: self storage sites, auto repair shops, supermarkets. Not close to any metro, will need to take bus to metro, which takes about 15 minutes or so...30 minutes to get to downtown Montreal. Good thing is the bus stops are right outside the hotel (both directions). The hotel itself looks decent from the outside but the lobby is tiny. The bullet-proof glass at the counter raises suspicion. The room is nice and clean though, which is the most important part.

This is a nice motel and we had a good stay. It is in a not-so-great area that is highway/industrial. Oddly, about 2km north is a very nice, walkable neighborhood with cafes and businesses, but you really must drive to get up to it because walking is not safe along the roadway. Le Chabrol is not a hotel, and the breakfast was nothing more than toaster items and coffee. The people who work there at top-rate and deserve kudos for professionalism. The room was large and well maintained, but could use a linen update. You can tell they're trying to keep the place looking more upscale (bathroom fixtures are really nice). This is a nice motel in a so-so location. It is very close to Trudeau (Dorval) Airport which is why we chose it.

This was a very affordable hotel. The staff was very nice. The hotel is conveniently located across from a grocery store and a bus stop to take you downtown. They cleaned the room while we were out. And they had free breakfast with simple option like cereal, bagels, and pastries. Would definitely recommend others on a budget to stay.
