Pictures looked amazing but didn't say that everywhere around the front entrance, entryway of lobby where under construction. Not to mention out of 4 elevators only one wprked. We waited 20 mins

Room was a beauty but elevators were very slow but it eventually broke down . They were up and running in the morning . Had to go up and Down 8 flights of stairs to get to room. But overall stay was nice . Will stay here again . Valet and front desk were awesome.

Not hot water in my room, ghat was in my drink and around the bar, paid for valet when I could’ve parked it myself. Had to walk to get my car because hotel being renovated why should I pay for valet when I had to walk back and forth down the block to get my car. I complained a couple times and they didn’t care or give any amenities or anything

Overall, the stay was fine. However, I was disappointed that the area around the property was under construction making it very accessible unfriendly for anyone with a disability. The staff did try to make accommodations, but valet and parking outside of the hotel was unsatisfactory. Due to construction, valet was a block down the street meaning that you had to walk a block in the rain with your luggage to get to the hotel entrance. The same is true for self-park. It rained my entire stay. As someone who has a walking disorder, it was very challenging, and I had no forewarning that this would be the scenario.

Overall, good option and good experience. A few callouts: Blackout curtains are a fail. Doors are very squeaky in rooms/ between room sections and hard to be quiet if you want to be. Staff were often using elevators loading them with dirty dishes, laundry, etc when there are dedicated work elevators. Parking situation was a mess. Construction made it worse but an added hassle if you have a car. Staff were awesome. Very friendly and willing to go above and beyond.

The hotel in general is very clean everything was super nice just the parking situation wasn’t the best because they are fixing the street it would take you to so many elevators just to get to the lobby and the parking garage was horrible but that’s just because they are fixing the street right in front of the entrance but other than that the hotel is amazing

The property was perfect. It’s walking distance to lots of places and a quick ride to others. The facility was kept well, and the room was comfortable. The room service was okay but was convenient for late night bites. The drinks at the bar were very pricey, but again convenient. All in all I would stay again and the room was clean minus a few very small things. But they were easily and quickly addressed.

We stayed on the second floor and you could hear everything above me. I booked this hotel for 2 days and I barely got any sleep the first night. It sounded like it was kids above me jumping or someone dragging something across the floor. The walls are thin, the noise outside from the train and the vacuum from housekeeping kept me up. I would never stay here again!

Beautiful property, but the room's bathroom is severly lacking in shelving and it's kinda weird you have to walk out of the bathroom (with a sliding barn door) to go to the sink. Not everyone is staying with someone that they are intimate.

Older hotel, infrastructure needs work. Room door handles very difficult to operate. TV remotes OLD and are semi functional. How hard is it to get a TV remote that works?Room service coffee cups are too small and not functional for people with larger hands. Room service large coffee pot old and hard to pour. Just an old worn out hotel. Not up to JW Marriott standards.

Top tier customer service. Requested a microwave at 1am and they brought one up promptly and the room was clean and loved the tub and shower! Best hotel in Houston !

I got to the hotel at 11:30pm. At check-in, I only asked for 1 thing from this hotel. I said please wake me up at 7am with a wake up call. I did not get a wake up call at all. I don’t know how this hotel got a 5 star rating. The pillows are not comfortable. There is no extra pillow in the closet. The mini bar just had 2 bottles of water, no drinks/snacks. 4 star hotel vibes. Spend your money elsewhere

Initially, they put me in the wrong room but they were very quick and friendly about rectifying it and getting me to the deluxe suite I reserved. I forgot the young man's name at the front desk, but he was great (he wears glasses). Nada, my waitress at the 806 Lounge/Restaurant, was amazing, friendly, and very attentive. She was great! My spa session was the best I've had compared to some other places and they really rolled out the red carpet for me.

Our room was ready when we arrived at the hotel a little bit earlier than check-in. Chloe at the front desk was amazing. She helped us the entire time we were there and was fabulous at her job. Jose, the Bellman was very helpful at checkout. And not to forget, Mr. Charles and Logan were excellent at their job of getting us to the convention center and back on time. The entire trip was great with the staff that was at the hotel.

I got into the hotel at 2:45. I was told my room was not ready so I waited at the lobby bar for an hour for a call from the front desk. Never got it. Had to walk back to the FD to ask about my room since I was about to loose my dinner reservation. After another 20 min I had to settle for a king bed instead of a double beds room which is what I had reserved. King bed rooms are cheaper, I did not get a refund or discount of any kind.

The hotel and staff was really lovely, currently traveling around the states for two months and each hotel we have stayed has been 5*. Yet this is 5* but very understated but felt lovely. The welcome by the concierge to the reception staff was all exemplary. The only thing that spoilt the stay was Downtown Houston! Maybe I expected something different but it was like the scene from an apocalypse, the city was dead no people about apart from homeless people and people suffering server mental illnesses. Felt quite unsafe walking around exploring the city centre.

Great location downtown. Walking distance to food options. Metro rail access is nearby. The hotel and room were clean. Check in and out were easy-no fuss. We had breakfast on our last day from the restaurant on the main floor. It was buffet and honestly was pretty good. Omelette and waffles were made to order. I would recommend to others and we will return in the future.

Everything with the hotel was great, restaurant and bar were fantastic. Hotel staff were very kind and polite. The suite is beautiful and a very nice view of the city. The only downside was there were a lot of homeless people outside asking for money every time we went outside

Wonderful property and amenities. So many dining options in walking distance. The area is under construction in front of hotel but with one bag each, we were able to maneuver just fine. Top notch bartenders (Mike & Ike). Staff was on point with everything. I would choose this location again.

The 6 day stay was amazing. It started immediately, as when I checked in I was upgraded to a suite. The staff in all areas functioned at the pinnacle of professionalism. From the spa to thevredtsurantvto the front desk and door staff, I couldn't have hoped for a better experience.
