Hotel de la Paz

The Hotel is in an excellent location, right in the heart of town, within walking distance of its main attractions. However, the Hotel's amenities advertisement is deceiving. There is no Restaurant at this premises. It offers breakfast at a nearby facility reachable on a short walk, the food there is good and the staff very friendly, however they do not offer juices nor bottled beverages, nor ice. In Hotel the amenities they list “Coffee/tea in a common area” this is not true, this for us was a major disappointment, since the breakfast opens until 8:30 am and there is no coffee maker in the room, and we get up early and are used to drinking coffee then. Back at the Hotel, the rooms are very clean, they do a good job of upkeeping the installations. The hotel staff are friendly, but they are not eager to go beyond their duties to satisfy their guests. They list a Terrace in the amenities, it is nice, it oversees the square and the nearby attractions, this is a great place to spend some time in the evenings enjoying the nice weather and the surrounding sights, however it is not equipped properly, no adequate furniture available, also they do not provide any food/beverages services to it, we had to provide our own and improvise our seating accommodations, I thinks there is a great opportunity for management to provide a pleasant experience for their guests.

Un Hotel muy céntrico, muy limpio, la decoración me gusto mucho, lo unico que no tenian botellas de agua pero fue lo de menos

No on premises parking. The only parking available is a good 15 min walk…and it cost 2500 pesos per day, if there’s availability…a little deceiving from their description.

The room had two huge windows#15 with a great view. Staff was friendly and a nice Italian bottle of wine upon arrival. Comfortable bed, but no coffee maker or refrigerator. That did not bother us as there was breakfast included across the street and was very adequate. Nice roof top area to hang and enjoy your vino tinto or beer. Would definitely come back, you would not be disappointed. Another plus is right outside the entrance was was a great ice cream wagon!!

Hubiese estado perfecto con estacionamiento

La habitación era amplia y limpia. Posible inconveniente su vecindad con el callejón del estudiante que puede resultar ruidoso. Como cosa negativa diré que existe un escalón en el camino al baño que para una persona de la tercera edad pudiera ser peligroso al levantarse durante la noche sin luz.

Habitación limpia y comoda. Cerca de lugares turisticos.

Bathroom clean, just needs some more modern updates

The bathroom is always smelly, I think it is because no fun in the bathroom and the smell come from upper floor, it makes the whole room smelly. The bed mattress is too soft; we feel back pain next day morning. We booked 2 nights but decided to check out after 1 night. The front desk staff was friendly. The location is good, which is close to many places to visit, but we won't pick this hotel anymore.

Room did not have a view, main ceiling light was t even working, the a/c made a horrible noise that wouldn’t allow you to sleep, awful smell coming from the bathroom, floors were dirty…Staff was very friendly.

Nos hospedamos en la habitación que tiene vista a la universidad y el servicio de limpieza impecable, el personal muy atento y sobre todo muy buena ubicación. Nos encanto el hotel en general.

Everything was good except the bathroom. It had poor ventilation and it was smelly.

What a beautiful hotel right in the center of town. So easy to walk places and lots of great food and beautiful buildings. My balcony overlooked the university.

The hotel is conveniently located in the historic center, the hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, the room was facing the side entrance walkway, we were hoping for a balcony view of the historic center. The room had very thin walls, we unfortunately didn’t get a restful night sleep both nights as it was very noisy from people partying in the streets and the second night a woman yelling and arguing with a man. We even thought it came from inside the hotel, the staff was also loud late at night. In would recommend staying a few blocks away from the city center if you want the convenience of being near the historic center but without the loud noise until 2-3am.

This property was right on the main square but because our room faced the back, looking out over the college entrance it was still very quiet. Room was quite large, good shower and staff was very helpful. A nice place to stay.

La parte no tan buena, es que habrá mucho ruido hasta las 12 de la noche aproximadamente. Las instalaciones limpias y el servicio bueno. La regadera del baño super tapada, no tenía buena presión de agua. Ahora bien el desayuno incluído que se sirve en otro hotel está malo, terrible, sin sabor y con muy pocas opciones. Así que el desayuno no debería ser la razón para escoger el hotel.

The room was an interior stay so we did not have windows. This was the negative part. Otherwise, stay was decent.

I was told Expedia books the cheapest rooms. Our room was tiny and had no windows however, the room was clean and very central to everything.

AC worked perfect , all was clean, perfect location downtown, breakfast every morning. I would say just double check what room you are in if you want a balcony front view- I swear that’s what the pictures showed but I did not get that room. Overall though - good hotel!

Absolutely loved the view and how walkable everything is. Received excellent service from hotel staff, they were all friendly and helpful. I was also able to book tours with receptionist.

This place is situated in an excellent location with a walking distance to the most important sights and attractions. Friendly staff, the only thing is when I tried to upgrade a room (instead of having a room with no windows to a balcony room, the girl said there were NO more rooms available, but when someone called asking for room availability she said there were balcony rooms available. I could have paid the difference. Other than that the place is amazing, the breakfast was wonderful, and the staff were friendly.

Staff was great - spoke lots of English. Check in was easy and quick. Really nice property right in the middle of the action - lots of restaurants, stores, cake shops, cafes, etc.. right outside the property. Hotel is on main courtyard of town with great views of the town off the roof. Breakfast was an excellent buffet - it was at another property essentially across the road with quick access. Property was clean, in great condition, and shower was excellent with lots of hot water. Would recommend for your trip!

Very nice hotel and friendly, helpful personnel. The hotel is conveniently located to all city attractions, museums, restaurants. I highly recommended this hotel! I will stay at this hotel again when traveling back.

Everything was great, except billing. I was charged twice. Receptionist swiped my card twice and she is not accepting she charged me twice. I asked to contact management. Management was never available. I provided proofs from my bank statement and yet they refused to refund me.

I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful and nice the staff at this Hotel are, very kind, accomodating and helpful. Really amazing in everyday. Great location in a very beautiful city.

The hotel is in a great location nestle between the Guanajuato University and the Guanajuato Cathedral close to all main attractions and still a good distance from all the night life noice, we loved it :)

窓がない部屋だったが、必要なものは揃っていた。朝食は歩いて数分の別のホテルに行かないといけないので面倒と感じる人がいるかもしれない。

Excellent location, everything was in walking distance! Breakfast was at a different place (few minutes away) but it was simple and delicious. Our only complaint was that the beds were full size and not queen size (specially when you are sharing with a family member)

Beautiful hotel! Location is great for exploring the city. Super clean and the included breakfast was very good and just a short walk away. Would definitely stay again if we return.

Nos encantó el lugar. Ofrecen agua y café gratis en el lobby mientras esperas. Tienen un elevador, algo que no todos los hoteles de la ciudad gozan, y que fue muy útil para mis papas mayores. La habitación fue muy amplia y muy limpia. Tiene todo lo necesario y las camas son muy ricas. Y además tienen una muy buena insolación sonora - no le llega casi nada de ruido, a pesar de estar en el mero centro. Y encima de todo eso ofrecen desayuno buffet incluido. Definitivamente será nuestro opción numero uno cuando regresemos a Guanajuato.
