The room was ok and looked clean. The duvet had rips in it and the shower curtain was torn. There is a sign directing you to vending, which isn't there. My blood sugar was out of whack so I needed something. Went to the corner to ask and was told they had snacks for purchase. Great so I picked a couple of items. But when I went to give my card to pay, I was told cash only, which is not noted on the price sheet. The clerk also watched me load luggage onto the baggage cart. I then asked where the elevator was, only to be told there isn't one. Might be a good idea to mention this on website to alert future visitors.

We loved the stay. Only disappointment was the fact the pool wasn’t open on the hottest week of the year and the breakfast was a little disappointing. Otherwise this is definitely a 10/10 stay! Very clean. Very beautiful on the inside! We enjoyed the outdoor seating areas!

The hotel itself is nice, has a lot of history which we loved. Staff was friendly, rooms were pretty clean. There were a few little things but nothing that made us feel uncomfortable in any way. The pool was closed which wasn’t a problem for us but if we would’ve brought the kids they would’ve been very disappointed. I think this is something that should be shared with their customers. All in all we had a great time and would stay again and recommend. Also locations is absolutely perfect, everything you need is right there.

Extremely courteous check-in attendant (may have been the manager). Everything inside was immaculate: spotless bathroom, clean carpets, not stale-smelling as some older properties can be. My only ‘less than smiley face’ would be regarding the exterior upkeep. It seems each time I stay there is less attention paid to the outside of the property. I feel like this is overlooked by a lot of hotel owners, and I hate to see it happening to such a cozy little property like this one.

The outside looks a bit rundown I had 2 different rooms, both were fine, one had mold/damage/peeling wall in the bathroom, but otherwise nice rooms Breakfasts are great (unless guests abuse the privilege, then they run out of things) Overall a good stay good value barely anyone uses the pool

Beautiful historic hotel! Everything about it is charming! Love the screen porch with rocking chairs and the lovely woodwork. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was really good. There are lots of shopping and dining options very close. My grandchild and I traveled together for a week and this hotel was by far our favorite!

The hotel and rooms were very nice but people smoking on the porch where we had to walk past to get in the hotel made for an unpleasant experience. We could not even enjoy sitting on the porch because of this.

Can’t say enough about how pleased we were with our stay here. Staff was friendly, rooms were very clean, and the all around atmosphere was very welcoming. Hot breakfast in the morning was a great surprise, and all of the food was very fresh.

It was just ok. The bed was pretty comfortable which is all I needed. Was just here in between two road trips. But it was a little dirty bc there were con webs )with spiders) in the corners and ceilings. So that wasn’t fun. They also put me next to the lobby and there was a machine turning on and off ALLLLLL night so that was annoying.

These are only my opinions about the room I had. The lobby was beautiful but after the lobby it goes down hill. The towels and sheets had stains all over them. My room never got cleaned even though I left the sign in my door. There was a broken picture frame in my room with a picture hanging out of it. Like I said only my opinions on the room I had. Safe area, disappointing stay.

The inside entrance was appealing . That’s it! Needs updating it was old. The toilet was plugged as soon as we got there. The toilet paper dispenser was loose. The sheets were stained and top cover also. Bed sheets were not clean didn’t even want to sleep in bed disgusting ! Over all will not stay there again

The bed was very comfortable. The room was dated. There was a piece of trash on the floor when we got there and I left it to see if it would be picked up the second day and it was still there. It wasn’t a small piece of trash it looked like some kind of bag had been opened and the top part fell on the floor. They did come in and make beds and change towels. There was also some baseboard material missing in the bathroom and it is the older style tub they are slick without the rubber mat provided.

This was probably the coolest little place I have stayed at in a long time. Very immaculate and spotlessly clean. Quaint little layout with an authentic atmosphere. Lots of old pictures on the walls and just very nice. The room was clean and the bedding was high quality. Centrally located close to everything. Felt very safe and comfortable here.

It is an old wooden building. Room was smelly. Sink was beside the door. No sink in the washroom. To wash yiur hand hou need to get out of washroom. Some electrical plugs donkt work. It is bad, but does not wirth 8 score they have. It is level of Motel not hotel. Even some Motels are better.

This motel is tucked in the middle of several fast food restaurants, behind an Aldi and another hotel. It's a little difficult to locate after driving several hours, my brain was fuzzy. Check in was pleasant, fast and easy. The room was clean and the pillows on the bed were perfect. There was some water damage by the tub that detracted from the overall effect. The towels were thin and cheap. The view from my room was the back of Aldi's , and cracked blacktop. Breakfast was good. Biscuits and gravy were served on the buffet. A new thing for me, very good! All in all, a decent place to spend the night.

My stay was a most wonderful surprise! Starting with the outside and grounds that were very nicely kept. Walking into the hotel was like entering a British pub. Dark wood, nice seating area and very clean. The front desk person was friendly and helpful. A real joy to encounter! My room was very clean, had a fresh scent but not overwhelming. The bed was firm but very comfortable. The pillows were 1 soft and 1 firm which I appreciated...again just right for me. Breakfast area was clean and tidy. The food assortment was pretty typical, both hot and cold choices, but all fresh and tasty. And very good coffee. A nice way to start the day. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and plan to stay again.

What an unexpected surprise! We were looking for a clean bed while traveling. What we found was a cool hotel that was built in the late 1800's (It is well maintained). Clean, and comfy. Staff was very personable. Cozy atmosphere. Easy access to I69, and just on the edge of town... yet tucked off the main strip far enough that is was quiet and peaceful. I will be staying here the next time I come through town.

Easy to get to, quiet from room to room except for slamming doors. Price was reasonable. Breakfast was the same everyday, which got boring. Had to call management to have something in the room repaired. Pool was not open, which was disappointing, but most likely reflective in the nightly cost.

We had a very nice 2 day stay at this property. The room we had was clean and the beds were comfortable. The exhaust fan in the bathroom needs to be repaired or replaced. Fan bearings are worn out, so the fan is extremely noisy when using the bathroom and turning on the lights. Woke my wife up more than once when using the bathroom. Also trying to figure out why the server at breakfast ran out of eggs when there was still more than 1/2 hr. before closing down? Still, I would recommend staying at this motel.

The lobby of the hotel was large and very tastefully decorated in an English pub style decor including a fireplace, comfortable seating and games tables, providing an inviting place to sit and relax. Breakfast was included and consisted of juice, coffee, hot and cold cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bagels and toast. All that I sampled was quite good. The room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay again when in the area.
