Hotel was clean and located in a decent area. Staff was friendly. Beds were comfortable. The reader to get in the door in the rear of the building was not working which was a bit of a pain, since it was freezing at the time. Also we were looking forward to breakfast but it did not open until 7am and we had to leave just prior to that.

Everything was great. Only thing I would say was a frown point was that it had snowed the day we arrived and the sidewalk at the back of the building could’ve used some salt, as it was very icy and slippery. Other than that, it was great!

First of all, the staff is absolutely amazing! They text to check in on us, remembered why we came to stay and asked how everything went! They were incredible. The rooms were very clean and stocked very well. The breakfast was way better than other hotels. Theres entertainment thats free there, such as a pool table, big screen tvs and board games. My husband and i stayed to get away from stress of everyday life and save our marriage and we got so much more than we bargained for in the best way possible. We had so much fun and met so many amazing people, both from the staff and from others staying. I highly recommend this hotel and we will be returning!

Very nice but quirky hotel. The room really needs a second side chair (any room with two beds should have two chairs). Common areas are friendly and quiet. Love the round the clock coffee.

Room and staff are amazing as always. You do need to have the doors to the elevators adjusted because the closes to quickly. It almost knocked my 87 year old mother.

Nice hotel. The lobby area was great for hanging out with family. Our room was clean and decently sized. Breakfast was good. Has a pool table in the lobby. Wish there was an actual pool for the kids. Very clean hotel.

We stayed Thursday through Sunday, checked out Monday, the room was NEVER SERVICED!! We had to go to the desk and ask for towels. Breakfast was a Carb-Fest. The staff was nice but Sunday I asked why our room was not serviced and she said "well they are supposed to make them up every other day" I told her we got back to the room Late Saturday evening and were surprised they had not serviced the room and we had no clean towels, she said "well if you are checking out tomorrow it is too late to service to room but I have some clean towels if you would like" The last objection I have is the bed frames, it may sound petty but the mattress does not fit the frame. The frame id wooden and sticks out 3 inches beyond the mattress and we were constantly banging our shin on the bed frame. I could never stay at a TRU again.

I didn't realize the "bare bones" of a Tru Hilton. It felt like a college dorm room. No closet, no sofa, one chair, tiny "desk," no coffee maker. I thought "Hilton" was a nice hotel. I was wrong.

Check in was very pleasant. The girl at the desk was friendly and helpful. However she told us breakfast was served until 10. When we arrived at 9:40, and realized it was closed, the different girl at the desk was mean when we said that we were told it was until 10. She said, nope, and if you read your key card it tells you right here. And went on about the hours and was very defensive. Finally she offered a yogurt or cereal but we just checked out.

It looks like this hotel is plopped down in the middle of a construction site. Roadside signs are hard to find to guide you to the property. Although it has a modern look to it, it probably needed some additional attention. When I got into my room, the first thing that caught my attention was the echo-ness of room. Followed by the sound of air, escaping through a crack. The entry door had a very large gap between the door and the frame. The door between rooms was also hissing with pressure. Although staff was helpful and friendly, they seem to be having problems with the register and getting people checked in. One of the staff complained about Expedia. Another had problem making change for a purchase because of the register. The next morning I had the continental style breakfast. It was quite good. The pancake machine was quite inventive. No ice machine next to the breakfast bar. I’m not exactly sure what the target clientele is for this property, but you may want to rethink how you attract people here. Expedia steered me to the location and it was further away from my intended destination that I had intended. I will need to look at that also.

Tru in Auburn, IN, is a minute off the highway, yet secluded and quiet. There are excellent restaurants and shopping in Auburn and nearby Garrett. The rooms and property are clean and comfortable with excellent amenities such as breakfast, in room fridge and large screen TV.

Beds were comfortable and room was clean. There was a pool table in the lobby area. Reminded me of a college dorm with the furniture and decorations throughout. Had fun make pancakes with the automatic pancake machine in the morning but other than the pancakes, the eggs and sausage were not good.

We arrived after a twelve hour drive so we were anxious for a great bed & a relaxing night sleep! We had both! Upon arrival the TV did not work, so got that fixed thanks to the front desk personnel. Room was very cold & took a bit to warm things up. Shower was great! Breakfast was ok… nothing fantastic. Out of bacon, even though we were eating breakfast around 8:30… breakfast closes at 9:00 am. We survived. Overall, it was a nice place to stay & would revisit if ever back in the area.
