Great room and location - in the heart of Athens. Easy check in. Good shower in the ensuite bathroom. Strong wifi/internet and there was a desk in the room for my laptop. There’s no kettle on the room but there is a kitchen and lounge in the basement. No tea though only coffee. I was able to use the lounge once I’d checked out. Just a shame that it was full of luggage as it’s their storage area also.

Advertised a "Beautiful" view if Acropolis - no view except ventilation and rear balconies of other buildings. The "Lovely" terrace was covered in bird poop with chairs without cushions etc. - Unusable Spa and Sauna not operational, guest self serve kitchen used for luggage storage. "Lounge" was a couch in the partially finished basement

Very smart and comfortable rooms which had shared kitchen facilities in the basement. Offered gym , hot tub and sauna if needed. The location was perfect for shopping, eateries and activities. I stayed with my son and the property greatly appealed to both of us. The staff were friendly, helpful and provided information readily. Highly recommend staying at athensotel.

La habitacion cumple con todo lo necesario para un buen descanso ya que es tipo loft y lo mejor es que la habitacion que elegimos tiene acceso a la calle por lo que nos fue facil movernos ya que esta justo en el centro de monasteraki y llevabamos mucho equipaje. De esta ubicacion puedes caminar hacia todo lo emblematico y el metro esta a 1 cuadra. Cuenta con un roof garden y jacuzzi que puedes usar a 15e por persona por hora y hay que considerar que es una zona de mucho movimiento y ruido ya que al dar a la calle la gente pasa todo el tiempo pero te regalan tus tapones para los oidos para aminorar este tema.

The location is great because it is right next to the metro that goes directly to the metro. I was only staying one night in between flights and that is why I picked the hotel. I am not new to Athens, I have stayed many other places before. I also booked this because my usual go-to were booked. I don't believe the ranking is correct. I would give it a 3 stars, top. There is no breakfast, no 24 hour front desk (after midnight you have a key to enter the building). The area is nice, but the hotel itself is tucked in a closed alley so... safety isn't the best. it is right infant of a bar: very loud too. I don't know what is the deal with the "pool" (which is an average size jacuzzi, in the rooftop). When I went up it was closed. Maybe you have to ask ahead of time? My room was on the small side, which is fine, and clean. Bathroom super small and had a window in the shower. Certainly a "no frills" room: there was barely soap. Now, if it were a 3 star, with a 3 star price, I wouldn't be saying anything. But for the price I paid I was expecting a little better. Three stars in the area or in Omonia provide very similar accommodation and they provide breakfast.

Camere spaziose ma un po’ rumorose se sulla strada pr via della movida , lo staff è stato molto cordiale e disponibile . Ok il parcheggio a pochi minuti distante e ottima la posizione in centro . Da rivedere la reception h24 e il servizio vip access (bottiglia di vino già richiesta pena del mio arrivo ) non c’era , sono andati a comprarla è servita calda senza nemmeno un cubetto di ghiaccio

Not what I expected. Spa was empty, sauna was not connected, old cigarettes and used ear plugs found in our loft room. Very noisy and difficult to sleep. There are better options around.

Das Zimmer war sauber und auch schön. Das Personal war auch sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel hat auch eine echt super Lage und man kann alles schnell zu Fuß erreichen. Allerdings war der Lärm im Hotel vor allem in der Früh sehr ärgerlich. Ab 8 Uhr war die Putzfrau am werkeln und hat eher die Wand als den Boden gesaugt. Es war wirklich sehr laut und auch die anderen Gäste hat man sehr gut gehört. War ein Luftstrom unterwegs ist die Tür auch immer ein kleinen Stück auf und zu gehauen. Ansonsten ist es wirklich sehr gut. Was man sagen muss es waren schon Ohrstöpsel im Zimmer allerdings kann ich damit nicht schlafen und bevorzuge deswegen ein ruhiges Zimmer

Habitación agradable, limpia y nuevo. Lo que no nos agrado es que la limpieza de la habitación se realizada cada dos días. El baño, espacioso, con accesorios básicos (shampoo, jabón, secador de pelo) y lo mejor es que no tuvimos problemas con el agua caliente. La ubicación perfecta! A pasos de una estación de metro que te lleva directamente al aeropuerto por 9 euros. No cuentan con desayuno, pero al frente del hotel hay una cafetería con unos desayunos exquisitos! Es un barrio bastante movido, si te hospedas en una habitación en dirección hacia la calle escucharas el ruido de las personas, risas, etc

Great little hotel, close to transport links to the rest of Athens and to the Airport. Close to the Acropolis. Spacious clean room. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area. Couldn't have asked for more for my short trip.

My room was actually on the roof, outside the roof patio, but that was fine. It was small but clean and modern. One must take the stairs one flight from the second-floor elevator to the roof. I note that this room was VERY reasonably priced, which accounts for its idiocyncracies.

Rent rom med det mesta man behöver. Något konstigt jätte högljutt ljud lät under natten från nedre våningen från timme till timme - någon enhet eller maskin. Men annars väldigt trevligt. Området är lite shady på kvällen men väldigt trevligt på dagen

Excelente localização, no melhor bairro com bares e restaurantes de Atenas. Quarto muito pequeno, com boa estrutura. O banheiro é um pouco estranho, pois é todo cercado de vidro e quem está no quarto consegue ver. O chuveiro esfriava do nada e como só tem cortina, molha todo o banheiro.
Excelente localização, no melhor bairro com bares e restaurantes de Atenas. Quarto muito pequeno, com boa estrutura. O banheiro é um pouco estranho, pois é todo cercado de vidro e quem está no quarto consegue ver. O chuveiro esfriava do nada e como só tem cortina, molha todo o banheiro.

Room 2 short blocks from metro. They ordered taxi for me and was waiting at 5AM Walkable and tons bars and restaurants. However very noisy as lofts have a separate entrance right to street. So lots of noise until very late. They do give ear plugs.

While this hotel is in a great location, the room itself needs some improvement. First the bathroom - it is impossible to shower without flooding. We had to use several towels to keep the water contained. The drain is slow and not placed in an efficient spot, so the water pools and eventually runs out of the shower. The toilet was also a problem, as the lid would close on your back when sitting on it. Small issues but annoying nonetheless. The bed was fairly comfortable, but only had a flat sheet draped on the mattress. Every movement caused that sheet to shift leaving the mattress exposed. I know the mattress is there, but seeing it exposed is very distasteful. For blankets we were provided with another flat sheet, which was fine, and a thin cotton blanket. The problem with the cotton blanket is that it was not queen sized, leaving two people trying to fit under a double blanket, which didn't work well. We were only here for two nights, so these issues were tolerable, as the location really was fantastic. This would have been a terrible stay had we been there for longer.

Location was the best thing, the room was average. Ground level double room was like sleeping in a shop front, except we slept on a mezzanine. Incredibly noisy so that just comes as part of the location. We booked this one cos it had an electric jug in the pictures, but there was none in the room. There were four in the common area but we were not allowed one. The staff agreed the images needed upgrading. Great location but buyer beware.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for a family. It gets superloud at night, we could not sleep at all ! There is a lor of people drinking and partying on the streets (there is a bar next door). You can hear everything ! (Earplugs don’t work for that). Also the sofa-beds are VERY uncomfortable !! The way at the front desk was super helpful though bit again not a good place for a family !

Ich habe im athensotel in Athen übernachtet und war rundum begeistert. Die Lage ist absolut top – nur etwa 4 Minuten von der Metrostation Monastiraki entfernt, sodass man schnell überall hinkommt. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die Akropolis oder das Viertel Plaka sind zudem bequem zu Fuß erreichbar, was den Aufenthalt besonders angenehm macht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, was sofort für eine angenehme Atmosphäre sorgt. Das Zimmer war modern eingerichtet, sauber und wirklich sehr bequem, ideal zum Entspannen nach einem langen Tag in der Stadt. Alles in allem ein großartiges Hotel, das ich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen kann.

Room 2 short blocks from metro. They ordered taxi for me and was waiting at 5AM Walkable and tons bars and restaurants. However very noisy as lofts have a separate entrance right to street. So lots of noise until very late. They do give ear plugs.

I am providing 1 star rating just for the disappointing service. The airline we booked with cancelled all flights and we were unable to make the trip. I contacted the hotel requesting an exception to refund the stay for 2 rooms considering the unexpected circumstances. The hotel said they would call me back but I never heard from them. No consideration was given. We actually had to return to Athens and had they been more accommodating, I would have booked at this hotel but the poor service left a bad taste in my mouth.

Camere spaziose ma un po’ rumorose se sulla strada pr via della movida , lo staff è stato molto cordiale e disponibile . Ok il parcheggio a pochi minuti distante e ottima la posizione in centro . Da rivedere la reception h24 e il servizio vip access (bottiglia di vino già richiesta pena del mio arrivo ) non c’era , sono andati a comprarla è servita calda senza nemmeno un cubetto di ghiaccio

This hotel is perfectly located in Monasteraki with restaurants, bars and shops all within close distance. Located right by the metro station that goes directly to the airport for easy access. Check in was very friendly as well as check out. I had a smaller room which was good enough for sleeping, did get a bit loud at night as there are bars and restaurants just below. Overall despite that for the convenience and location and price would highly recommend.

Great little hotel, close to transport links to the rest of Athens and to the Airport. Close to the Acropolis. Spacious clean room. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area. Couldn't have asked for more for my short trip.

Great room and location - in the heart of Athens. Easy check in. Good shower in the ensuite bathroom. Strong wifi/internet and there was a desk in the room for my laptop. There’s no kettle on the room but there is a kitchen and lounge in the basement. No tea though only coffee. I was able to use the lounge once I’d checked out. Just a shame that it was full of luggage as it’s their storage area also.

Location was the best thing, the room was average. Ground level double room was like sleeping in a shop front, except we slept on a mezzanine. Incredibly noisy so that just comes as part of the location. We booked this one cos it had an electric jug in the pictures, but there was none in the room. There were four in the common area but we were not allowed one. The staff agreed the images needed upgrading. Great location but buyer beware.

Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, but the one major downside was that there was no tea and coffee facility in the room. It was shown in the pictures but I guess those images are old. Even in the common kitchen, there wasn’t any tea or milk, only coffee and sugar were there.

Don’t rent a car! The limo service they recommend was excellent. It is in the beating heart of the Plaka with a fantastic coffee shop/drinks establishment just across the alley that was a nice quiet way to start and end the day. People are enjoying themselves after my bedtime so my noise canceling earbuds were perfect. The loft was very compact but suited us. Bring your own soaps and shampoos as the provided ones are so so. We walked to every tour and got to the entrance of the acropolis faster than a taxi could drive. Just around the corner from train and bus for day trips too! It is urban utilitarian, not luxury so no snobs allowed!

Property is very close to the action area, a 15 minutes walk to the Acropolis. I wished they served breakfast in the morning, so it will save time going out and look for place to eat breakfast!

The location is great because it is right next to the metro that goes directly to the metro. I was only staying one night in between flights and that is why I picked the hotel. I am not new to Athens, I have stayed many other places before. I also booked this because my usual go-to were booked. I don't believe the ranking is correct. I would give it a 3 stars, top. There is no breakfast, no 24 hour front desk (after midnight you have a key to enter the building). The area is nice, but the hotel itself is tucked in a closed alley so... safety isn't the best. it is right infant of a bar: very loud too. I don't know what is the deal with the "pool" (which is an average size jacuzzi, in the rooftop). When I went up it was closed. Maybe you have to ask ahead of time? My room was on the small side, which is fine, and clean. Bathroom super small and had a window in the shower. Certainly a "no frills" room: there was barely soap. Now, if it were a 3 star, with a 3 star price, I wouldn't be saying anything. But for the price I paid I was expecting a little better. Three stars in the area or in Omonia provide very similar accommodation and they provide breakfast.

El baño, espacioso, con accesorios básicos (shampoo, jabón, secador de pelo) y lo mejor es que no tuvimos problemas con el agua caliente. La ubicación perfecta! A pasos de una estación de metro que te lleva directamente al aeropuerto por 9 euros. No cuentan con desayuno, pero al frente del hotel hay una cafetería con unos desayunos exquisitos! Es un barrio bastante movido, si te hospedas en una habitación en dirección hacia la calle escucharas el ruido de las personas, risas, etc

During my stay in Greece I stayed in 4 different Hotels and this was the only one with a clean room. This hotel was way more affordable than the other ones and ironically was the only one that was really clean. I did not find any hair.

Hot tub was empty and needed to pay per hour per use. Staff was a bit blasé. Great location. Convenient. The shower floor is not ideal since there is just a little edge between the bath room and shower, so water splashes.
