Everyone and everything was fabulous! Staff was very friendly and helpful, location was perfect, hotel was very clean, breakfast was very good, and we would highly recommend Athens Lodge to anyone looking to stay in that area! The only thing that was remotely an inconvenience is that the elevator is very small.

This hotel was conveniently located near dining, shopping and metro. The area was very tight. The staff were very friendly, helping us whatever we need. The room was big. However, the view was awful, felt like living in a closet or inside cabin of a cruise ship. Breakfast was simple. The elevator was very small. Only can fit one person at a time. Long wait for elevator too. The stairs was spiral.

Brilliant staff, nice breakfast. Amazing how a small apartment building was converted into a hotel. Elevator is big enough for you or your bag, the tiny toilet in the room was just a very bad idea. Spread eagle on the toilet seat or the door won’t close. As tight as it was the toilet roll holder is fitted on the front wall making the toilet even tighter. However, everything else is really good and makes you forgive all other issues. Plus, Athens is just plain nice. I would still book again at the Athens Lodge.

Great staff. Quiet. Amazing views of acropolis from floors 5 and 6. I had balcony facing acropolis and it was spectacular. Impressive for such a small hotel.

Location was two blocks north of Monastiraki Square. Numerous restaurants and bars in the area. Friday & Saturday night were loud until 2 am. Disappointed that the rooftop terrace was closed and unavailable.

Interesting neighborhood. Safe area. Able to walk to restaurants shopping and sites of interest. Hotel has a very small elevator, will hold 2 people who like each other

Athens Lodge is in the perfect location for tourism, food, drink, nights out and day trips. Everything is within walking distance or the red city sightseeing bus stop is down the road (which goes around the city and to the coast). The hotel was clean and well presented, the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels if needed. Bed linen was not changed over 5 days though we don't think. Breakfast was delicious with hot and cold options, nice coffee and the ladies were so friendly. We left our luggage after check out in the facilities downstairs which was helpful but there was no where to shower and change before our flight. There are maps and brochures available at the desk as well. We asked to use the sun terrace, which was locked, but were told we couldn't which was a shame as it has such a nice view. The spa downstairs is not operational but we didn't mind this. Outside the hotel can be a slightly noisy in the evenings and night time, we were on the 2nd floor and it wasn't too loud, didn't disturb us at all but might do others.

Staff was very professional and attentive - included breakfast was good -- Dimitris was very helpful with local info when checking us in. "Tiny" elevator only fits 1 person and a small carry-on at a time! The location is hard to find, tucked in a side street

Fantastic hotel in Monastiraki in a great location. Easy walk to multiple restaurants there as well as in Plaka and very close to the market area and square. The staff here was great and worked with us to make our stay memorable. We had a variety of rooms and the family room in particular was great with small kids and all the rooms with balconies were great to sit out on (very spacious with a couch, table, and chairs though better in the evening when it wasn't quite so hot. Breakfast was simple but good and you can order made to order coffee, omelets, etc. Very spacious rooms and I'd highly recommend one of the rooms with a balcony with a view of the Acropolis which was particularly beautiful at night. Despite being in a busy area (right next to Little Kook), the rooms were quiet and the air conditioning was great (it was 100F when we were there). Again, great staff, great location, great rooms-would very highly recommend! One small note as an FYI-it's not a great place to stay if you happen to use a wheelchair or scooter. The elevator is tiny and not able to accommodate those and there are 2 steps to get into the property. It wasn't a problem for us as one person with us was using a travel wheelchair and could stand but it would be a problem it you couldn't.

Staff were wonderful. The rooms are very quiet and clean. The morning breakfast was amazing! It is located close to everything. Will definitely stay there again.

My family and I enjoyed a three-night stay at this hotel. The room was clean and secure, and the location couldn't have been better, with everything within walking distance. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely return to this hotel, especially for the delicious breakfast!

Expedia says this room provides robes, slippers, small kitchen in room. This was a lie. Very small. Dirty. No kitchen. No robes, slippers etc. Awful cafe called Little Kook next door with stupid music playing until late in the night. Will give you nightmares. Staff encountered were pleasant; we both ended up covered in bites all over our bodies. Will never stay again.

Spotless property with great customer service and tasty breakfast where you can make your own orange juice. The view of the Parthenon was fenomenal.

The stay was very pleasant, the location is excellent, close to the center and transportation, the service was very good, pleasant people, excellent breakfast. The problems are 1. the room was very small especially the bathroom 2. during our stay the room was cleaned only once and even then they did not provide toiletries and did not change towels, We had to call reception to get towels and soaps

Clean room and common areas, accesible to restaurants and shops. Super nice employees to take care of everything including transportation arragements. 100% recommended.

The hotel was very convenient and walkable to a lot of sightseeing spots. The only thing I wish it could improve was cleanliness. I came at 1:30pm and property was not ready until 3:08pm. The front desk staff had to go up to the room and helped clean it faster. When we walked in the room the floor wasn't dry yet, and the walls had few dark spots not sure why. The bed linen and towels did not seem very clean as well. Our room was the Lambda one which was the largest one I believe with the Acropolis view.

The room was enjoyable, though the cleanliness of the shower could be improved. There was visible mold between the interior glass and the shower controls, which was concerning. While not an all-night issue, the ‘Disney’ themed songs playing outside could be heard late into the evening, which was slightly disruptive. On the bright side, we appreciated the made-to-order breakfast, and the carry-out version provided on our last day was a thoughtful touch, especially with our early morning flight. The terrace is a hidden gem with fantastic views—just avoid looking down at the clutter stored on the rooftops by the neighboring ‘Disney’ themed restaurant.

Very nice breakfast. Short walk to Monastaki square. Wonderful rooftop view of the acropolis. Helpful staff. Bathroom setup was odd in our family room. Shower with glass doors was open to the room. Only the toilet had a door to close.

Pros: great location. Walkable to everything. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. I have an Acropolis view room and that was great. Good shower pressure. Lots of hot water. Bed comfortable. I was on 4th floor Epsilon room. I think It was perfect. Cons: smaller elevator I’ve ever seen. Not a big deal, but small. Enough room for 1 person and one small suitcase. There were some minor issues when I first arrived (no TV clicker. Sliding door to patio with broken lock. Couldn’t figure out how to make air con work.) the very friendly reception girl arranged for it all to be taken care of quickly. They even had a handyman fix the door lock within few hours. It’s a loud neighbourhood, but that’s what you get inside a tourist spot. Looks sketchy at first, but really isn’t. I felt safe even walking on my own.

Small rooms

Conveniently located for staying and walking to Plaka, Acropolis, Monastiraki. Lots of dining options near by. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. The only downside is the lack of sunlight in the rooms. However, that's not a problem for tourists like me as we are out all day. Super breakfast.

The room was good for me, my wife and our daughter. The hotel is right in the middle of Psirri, close to cozy sqaures, a ton of good dining and walking distance to many good sights incl Acropolis, Monistiraki Square, Plaka and Syntagma Square. You can hear noise from the street but it wasn’t too bad. The air conditioning wasn’t the best, so our room seemed a little humid most of the time. All in all a fine place with friendly staff. Would book again.

Room was very nice and the view of the Acropolis was amazing. Balcony was so cute, spacious and had a little table for sitting and having a meal. The staff was amazing, very friendly and extremely help full. Free breakfast was so good and extensive options. Shops are nearby in walking distance. Was even able to walk to the Acropolis. I would absolutely stay again.

The hotel is in an excellent location, walkable to everywhere. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by. Yet the room is really quiet, can't hear any noises at night. We have 2 adults and 2 teenager boys and booked a suit with 1 queen size bed and 2 twin beds. The room is spacious and clean. The only inconvenient part is the shower is not inside the bathroom. The breakfast in the morning is excellent. The staffs are friendly, and very helpful.

We were a little hot we couldn't put the ac down because they have it lock.

From check in to check out the service was great. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. In the midst of the impending taxi strike, they were able to get me service for my connection. Definitely looking forward to booking my next Athens stay here with my family.

The location is perfect and convenient. We stay here all the time when we visit Athens and the service has always been great but this time Mr. Dimitar went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. He was such a pleasure and so very helpful and accommodating in every possible way. Thank you so much! Hope to be back in Athens soon!

The overall experience was not pleasant. Although there was a note on the door saying do not disturb, the hotel manager chose to enter the room without permission and informed us while we were eating breakfast that this was impudence. There was a general unpleasant feeling. A heated argument developed with the hotel manager. We were given a room with a window next to it after construction. The room was full of dust. Only after pleading did they change our room. We had been in this hotel for years, not anymore.

This small hotel was a jewel and one of the best hotels I have stayed at ...staff, especially Ellie, -outstanding , helpful, welcoming; breakfast delicious ; view wonderful; helpful pre arrival with quick responses to email questions and helpful during stay with requests like booking airport transportation. Highly recommend!

Athens lodge was comfortable, modern and affordable for the quality. The breakfast was excellent, too! We had wonderful service and advice from the receptionists. If you’re a Disney fan, the Little Kook Snow White themed restaurant is right next door, which gave us some laughs, but didn’t detract from our hotel experience.

I booked this hotel online and even before we traveled the hotel staff was excellent at communicating with helpful information for our arrival. They offered to schedule a ride for us from the airport and to the cruise port. Before arrival we were given late arrival information, but thankfully we arrived during regular hours. Check in was fast and friendly. Our room was exactly as described and had an amazing view of the Acropolis as well as the full moon! The room was spotless with very comfortable bedding and furniture. Even though the street is always crowded with patrons of the dessert bar next door, the room was always quiet and peaceful. The location was great! Close to several really good restaurants, a short walk to the Monastiraki outdoor market and the hop on and off bus stop. The hotel has a very small elevator big enough for 2 people without luggage that was in good working order all but one night we were there. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful always providing anything we asked for. Even though the area has a lot of people and action we always felt completely safe walking.

In the heart of Monastariki square! Very cute, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. The only negative is that it is right next to the little kooks store and was playing Halloween music constantly!

Great small boutique property in the heart of Athens old town. Walkable to flea markets, shopping, loads of restaurants, cafes, and Hadrian’s Library.

Great location, near to everything

We stayed here for a short stint in Athens in July. They contacted us ahead of time and helped arrange a car to take us there from the airport (there are tons of public options, but we got in late and it was a relief to just walk out to someone holding a sign with our name on it). The location is incredibly convenient if you’re in Athens to explore the old city/ruins around as basically everything is in walking distance. There are also tons of restaurants and shops in the area so you’ll never be without something to do. The convenient location is also key for visiting Athens in hotter months as it’s great to easily go back to cool down and/or take a nap. Speaking of places to eat, I think I should mention that directly across the street is Little Kook, an incredibly themed desert cafe. The food there is fine, but it is quite the local attraction and is lit up with lots of neon at night so you’ll get some noise from tourists gathering there. The room had blackout shades so the light is easily taken care of, but the cafe doesn’t close until 12am so if you’re sensitive to sound, maybe bring some ear plugs. The hotel itself is great, the style is really interesting, the beds were comfy, and the breakfast included was tasty. I wish our AC got a bit colder, but I’m a spoiled American when it comes to AC. The staff were all kind and also arranged for a car back to the hotel for us since we needed to leave at 2:30AM for our flight out.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! What started off as a major hiccup in our trip (stolen phone in Syntagma Square) turned into a very positive experience. All of the staff- house keeping, kitchen staff, and reception always had a friendly smile and demeanor. They were resourceful and helpful with setting up transportation, offering dining and shopping suggestions, and most of all supported me with moving forward without my phone for this trip. Our room was always cleaned and bed made up daily. Very comfortable bed! The breakfast was amazing! Many options for whatever you like…the bougatsa was our favorite! Special thanks to Ellie for her hospitality and kindness! Efcharisto poli!

Das Hotel liegt super - alles walking distance - und das Zimmer mit Sicht auf die Akropolis war der Hammer! Hier gibt es absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Das Zimmer war recht klein, aber für 1 Übernachtung absolut ausreichend. Das Zimmer hatte einige Abnutzungen: Kaputte Fliessen an der Wand oder die Silikonabdichtungen im Lavabo waren schwarz vor Dreck. Das Zimmer als Ganzes war aber sonst sauber. Das Frühstück - hier gibt es den grössten Abzug - war ein "no go". Alles Conveniencefood und es sah überhaupt nicht einladend aus. Wir gingen in ein Frühstückslokal um die Ecke und das war super.

Pontos negativos: A limpeza deixou muito a desejar. Tivemos a impressão de que o quarto não havia sido limpo antes da nossa chegada, pois encontramos guardanapos sujos no chão. O terraço estava empoeirado, com cadeiras cheias de água acumulada e sujeira. O banheiro tinha cheiro constante de esgoto voltando, a porta não fechava bem e não havia ducha higiênica. A cama de casal era pequena, com colchão de má qualidade, e os lençóis pareciam de plástico impermeável, tornando o sono extremamente desconfortável. Pedimos para trocar, mas fomos informados de que não havia outra opção. O café da manhã era muito simples e repetitivo: em três dias, foi servido exatamente o mesmo cardápio. Consideramos o preço muito alto para a qualidade oferecida. Pontos positivos: Os funcionários foram atenciosos, simpáticos e prestativos. A localização é muito boa, próxima a pontos de interesse. No geral, foi uma estadia decepcionante, e acreditamos que o custo não justifica a experiência oferecida.

Dès l'arrivée à l'hôtel, nous constatons qu'il y a un chantier en cours collé à l'hôtel avec Bettonnière à 7 heures du matin, marteau piqueur et perceuse, en face un établissement décoré façon Halloween avec de la musique en continu attirant une foule ininterrompue, pour le repos oublier. En ce qui concerne la propreté très mauvais entretien des communs et de la chambre. Exiguite de l'unique ascenseur ne pouvant contenir qu'une personne. Cet hôtel ne respecte pas le programme VIP d'hôtel.com et n'en a que faire alors que j'ai vérifié qu'il y avait de la disponibilité pour du surclassement. En ce qui concerne le petit déjeuner il est industriel et rien n'est fait maison. Pour soit disant un 4 Étoiles : exorbitants. Vraiment à déconseiller.
