This hotel has great potential, but unfortunately it feels neglected and in need of a refresh. Staffing was minimal, and many of the team members seemed inexperienced. The pool was not well maintained—the water level was low, and it appeared to be leaking. Overall, it seems like the property is being kept at a basic operational level rather than being properly cared for. With some investment and attention, this could be a much better experience.

room was clean. staff ok in the evening, terrible this morning. Awful experience with breakfast...only one thing to make you understand the experience. In a coffee plantation and property with the name of the coffee brand you don't receive either a coffee for breakfast! :)) or../you have to choose among a fruite juice or a coffee...one of this comes with a surcharge! property almost abandoned in some parts. Very few customers, one more room over us. Good local food dinner but nightmare with payment. Beautiful place but it is not enough for making it a good experience

My four-night stay at Hotel Don Ernesto La Chimba was wonderful, highlighted by the friendly staff and the absolutely excellent breakfast spread. The location is incredibly peaceful, tucked away in the jungle yet conveniently just 30 minutes from the airport. While some reviewers highlight that the rooms aren't Ritz-Carlton quality, I think it is important to note that the prices certainly reflect that, and the hotel offers tremendous value for an authentic and relaxing stay.
