The staff were very kind and personable. The bar has amazing food options and drink options. Everyday there is a free margarita hour. The pool is a great place to relax and swim in the salt water pool. Every night had live music in the lobby. The location is in a perfect safe location on the Sunset Strip.

Came straight to the hotel because the said the restaurant was open until midnight. Was told that was not the case and "I wish they'd update the website more often." Then was told the incidental charge was $150 per day. Yes it would be refunded but $750 for incidentals for 5 days? Ridiculous. An interest free loan that is almost the same cost as the room. Beds and pillows are uncomfortable, blind slates are broken and the toilet is literally two inches from the class shower door so you have to sit sideways on it. I can every footstep in the room above me. The gym equipment is rusted and a piece came flying off while I was using it. The AC in the gym is broken and the fan in there turns on for a few seconds then shuts off for a few minutes. I reported all of this to the virtual concierge and the only response has been "thank you for your valuable feedback." There are plenty of hotels nearby or even on either side of this hotel that are far better, rated the same, and around the same price. Don't bother with this place. Go next door.

Cute boutique hotel less than a block from The Comedy Store. Expensive valet parking on property (well, it is LA). Less expensive underground parking is available a block away using ParkMobile app. Relatively easy check in. Stayed on the third floor, which is the same floor as the lobby. Comfortable room. Nice amenities in the bathroom. Not a great view out the window. Fitness room had two elliptical machines, two treadmills, a small cable machine and some light dumbbells.

Pros: Cool hotel. Rock and roll theme. Friendly and efficient staff. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Great location in WeHo. Nice salt water pool. Cons: $65 valet parking. No other convenient or nearby choices. $9 city worker protection fee. What? $33 Urban amentities fee. Excuse me, what? What even is an urban amenities fee?! Anyhow, it continues the movement that if you can afford to travel you’re getting gouged.

Excellent hotel in a great hot spot. First of all the staff was amazing. Each valet and concierge was super friendly and helpful with tips, suggestions and general daily conversation. They all appear to love their jobs and its a great vibe The pool is amazing. Some nights there were djs and parties which were fun but they wrapped relatively early. So relaxing and calm during the day. Love the rock n roll vibe of the hotel even if its on the nose. The hotel itself is older, renovated but built in the 40’s. It could be time for another reno. The hallways and room were fairly musty and damp The king room was small but sufficient. Great to have the sofas and a big closet. Nice amenities But we have to talk about the bathroom. Its tiny! The glass shower door opens out so you can’t have that open with the bathroom door open. Its that small. I’m 5,10” and my elbows were banging the sink while i used the facilities Overall the location, staff and pool make this almost perfect I did email the manager Edwin beforehand asking a few questions about our room. I saw he comments on all posts and shared his email publicly but he never responded which was a bit disappointing

Our stay was awesome! This is such a vibrant and lively hotel. Every staff interaction I had was amazing. Everyone was so nice and wonderful from the staff working the front desk to the bartender who would make us our daily margs. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Sure, it’s a little loud when the DJ is playing but that’s why we stayed here, we wanted to be where the action was and we felt like we made the right decision. The pool was also so much fun! Overall great stay!

Staff was friendly, there was a nice pool, and there were a few places you could walk to but the hotel was old and had a musky smell that gave me headaches each day I was there. Towels and sheets were stained, tons of ants in the room and it was very loud. Paying a $45 dollar resort fee for a place that is not clean wasn’t ideal.. A woman banging and screaming in a hotel door at 4:30 am waking everyone up.

Check in was great. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Parking cost is not mentioned until you arrive at the hotel and it is $65, valet only. Margarita hour at the bar was really nice and the food was great. The lunch server was outstanding. The hallway to our room reeked like weed the whole stay which seeped into our room. That smell is not usually a big deal for me but it was extremely strong. The room was pretty spacious and nice, but we had ants all over our bathroom. Tried to take advantage of the $25 breakfast credit the next morning. Sat down at the restaurant and the waitress said she’d be back to take our order. We waited for 20 minutes before we decided to just leave, so the $25 credit went to waste.

It’s a cute place. Didn’t know rooms were underground. My friend is claustrophobic and almost had a panic attack. The hotel itself is reasonably priced but all the fees added another 150.00 so we paid 450.00 for a 248.00 room. Probably won’t stay there again. Rooms small and the hallways smelled like sewage.. But a really cute place.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ziggy! Room was nicely furnished and hotel felt recently updated and well maintained. The bar had interesting and delicious cocktail offerings which was super convenient. My absolute favorite part of our stay was the free nightly entertainment in the hotel, even on Mondays - Wednesdays when we visited. The musicians and comedians brought in for these events were great, we couldn't believe the quality for the convenience! While the location felt pretty safe and centrally located for the many LA tourism things we did, I do wish there was more restaurants and more to do in the immediate walkable area.

The Amenities fee on the booking is an additional cost but they still charge you 56 USD when you arrive for property/local amenities fee. Best western next door doesn't and the facilities/rooms are better Room wasn’t clean and sheets smelt like cologne. Go for a drink at the bar and leave.

The good is that the poolside rooms are nice because you can literally walk out your door and be on the pool deck. We did this every morning as that was really the only time we were able to enjoy it due to the large pool parties happening in the evening (watch out for the mosquitos though). The parties weren't really our vibe (3 moms trying to get away for a weekend here) and we didn't realize that there would be parties both nights we stayed. I'd suggest if you are over 30, have kids with you, or feel weird hanging out with 50 young dudes in thongs, find a different hotel. They don't have an ice machine and it says to call the front desk for ice, which I did and was told it would be brought to our room but it never was. The ac in our room did not blow cold so the room was super stuffy and hot as it was about 90° during the day. When we opened the window we were suprised to find there was no screen so the mosquitoes became a problem in the room as well. The bathroom window also had no screen and wouldn't close all the way. For what we paid for this room I was disappointed. The bartender was nice and so was the valet guy that helped us to our room because there were no carts. Front desk staff seemed bothered to stop their conversation to help us. Location wasn't bad. It seems like this area has been cleaned up a bit. Not the worst stay but it could have been better. I still have the welts from mosquito bites to remind me of my stay.

If you like sleeping in a night club full of hip elitists, this is the place for you. If you want food, prepare to be underwhelmed, overcharged, and have plenty of time. The servers were amazing but there's one for the whole restaurant/bar. There's no zen to be found at Hotel Ziggy. The hotel is immaculately clean, but everything centers on the pool which is very loud. Constant parties leave guests shut out of ammenities at every turn. The staff is killing themselves accommodating private events. No curtains in my room left it like broad daylight all night, and my room was in the pool bar so my view was of liquor bottles and employee butts. I heard every drink poured, every customer request, and every throbbing party beat rocking the deck. The lobby and bar were equally loud and there was nowhere to get peace. Every pool party was full of g-strings and naked butts so this is not family friendly. I did see a number of well groomed and perfectly behaved dogs though. The staff really was kind but it's a little like shopping for records back in the day where even who worked there looked down on you for your taste in popular music.

The hotel was very average compared to others in the same location. I decided to try this hotel because they had a bigger studio room for an extended stay, however the premium room was right on the strip and whoever stays there will be subject to traffic noise all day long which is not acceptable. We had to downgrade to a lesser room to avoid the noise while continuing to pay for the studio. The alternate room was much smaller, the AC was not working properly, it had a tiny bathroom and no coffee maker. Other than that the hotel lacks basic amenities like a microwave and a coffee maker on regular rooms. The staff was very nice and hard working but the property was a big let down. Anything else in the area with the same price point will be a better option.

The main entrance / music area is great. However the rest of the hotel is in need of more updates. The rooms have very thin walls and the shutters facing the pool don’t really block out light. Very noisy hotel if you’re looking for a good nights’ rest

I made a reservation for the wrong date (day prior than my arrival date). When I got in I was told that there is nothing to do and unfortunately the manager was not accommodating and showed zero empathy. I would expect from someone in the service industry to be more accommodating. His words were “that’s why you should always book with us directly and not book through third party”. Expect a terrible customer service.

Love this place-stay every few weeks and it just keeps getting better. The margarita hour is a great deal and the added continental breakfast is nice. Customer service is always great -Armando at the front desk was absolutely amazing-great service and took care of all our needs.

Room are great, beds are comfortable, but it’s all irrelevant as it’s impossible to sleep due to the complete lack of noise management by the night shift team. I was given the room directly behind the stage that they have live music / entertainment on, but was assured that everything stops at midnight at the latest on weekends and ‘it’s quiet’. Friday at nearly 2am I had to ask when the music would stop as it was impossible to even hear the TV in either of the rooms we had. At 4am I had to ask for the 4th time if someone from security could and stop the guests that had been running up and down the hallway screaming, shouting, slamming doors and generally partying in the hallway outside our rooms and stopping us from being about to sleep, they did nothing. Saturday was the same. This property is outrageous, you’re paying for a BEDROOM to SLEEP in, I’m BUYING SLEEP, PROVIDE IT! On checkout I asked to speak to a manager - no managers work on a Sunday.. reception comped $100 worth of amenities fees as apology, on a $1,000 stay, despite the fact that I said I wanted a refund. Was told that’s it, and to have a good day. Do not stay at this property unless you are planning on sleeping through the day and being awake all night.

I cannot express enough just how amazing the staff continue to be when I stay here. This was my fourth time and it keeps getting better and better! They also have a ton of fun activities throughout my stay! Yoga by the pool, how about a pool dance party. Killer music in the evening, they have you covered.

I was excited to stay at the Hotel Ziggy for its online vibe. I stayed on the second floor unknowingly the lobby was above me making for constant foot traffic above my bed all night long. They have guests go down to the lobby for coffee making it an inconvenience for morning drinkers. I had a female hygiene issue occur unexpectedly and while I was down there getting coffee, I walked to the bar area where staff members were sitting around not working. Bad look! I waited for the female bar attendant to finish her conversation with another woman sitting at the bar to ask her a delicate question. She said, “can you wait for me to finish what I am doing?” and walked away to grab a tablet and returned to talking to the woman at the bar. The woman at the bar smiled and I walked away to ask the man at the front desk with other men standing around because its where the coffee is located. I was humiliated and was told there wasn’t a manager to speak to about how I was treated. I sent a message to the business Instagram and heard nothing back. I look at my bill and I was overcharged for the mini bar items I bought, and it was an overall unpleasant experience and won’t be staying there again. As a frequent solo traveler to LA there are lots of other places that staff are expected to treat guests with respect and dignity.

This was our second stay at Ziggy. We had been looking forward to staying again but were a bit disappointed this time. A long line at reception to checkin & just one person working the desk. When we raised with the receptionist that our room didn’t match the photos for the room on the listing in hotels.com his response was “you should never book a room based on photos” & was completely dismissive. The same receptionist a few days later didn’t even look up from his computer screen when we asked if the valet was around. Parking is steep at $65 a night, there’s a fee for hi-speed internet, we couldn’t get the complimentary wifi to work & there’s even a $5 delivery fee if you order room service online. The pool remains awesome, the room is a good size & it’s a great location. The valet staff were very helpful & polite. It’s a pity the service has gone downhill since last time we stayed. I’m not sure we’ll stay again

The location on Sunset Blvd is downright dangerous. We had to circle around the block several times before being able to safely get out of our car. The valet was busy and couldn’t help. It’s right on Sunset without an obvious driveway and near a curve so visibility is limited. Other guests had the same experience. Bed was old and sagging in the middle. No blanket to speak of, just a very thin comforter. Morning breakfast is very limited. No decaf or tea. No fruit. Very meh experience.

Great location on sunset strip. We felt safe walking to many close restraurants. The hop on hop off bus stops close by at the comedy store. The Ziggy is a quaint boutique hotel The front desk staff were very helpfull and friendly, they made us feel very welcome. Depending on the day a band or comedien may be performing. Our bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, the bathroom was very small. Ask for a pool view room or you may have a view of a parking lot Floor 3 is street level as the hotel is built on a hill. Nice big TV with very limited channel selection. Hotel Resteraunt has good food with few choices. Bar & resteraunt is open until 10 pm, staff are very friendly. I would stay again.

I liked the area looked safe and it was clean. Did not like fees and parking. No parking. Valet is $65 per night they also charge a seperate fee which they claim is from the city. Which is over $100 for 2 nights Main reason I chose this Hotel was because they advertise free continental breakfast but its only wheat bread and yogurt and a fruit so you still are obligated to buy your own.

Hotel overall is unique and I like the location. The staff were all great and the bar had great cocktails. I would have liked to have more blankets on my bed and curtains to block out the blinding light from all the lights on around the pool all night. But overall, it was a good stay.

Hotel Ziggy is the only place I will stay after this trip. It’s the perfect location! It’s easy to walk to great shopping and dining options, amazing and friendly staff and great drinks and food. There are steady nighttime events scheduled- live music and DJs. The vibe was relaxed, chill, not stuffy which I prefer.

Loved everything especially the happy hour specials and the live entertainment! Staff was superb! Room was fabulous. Wished they offered a microwave to use. Pool could’ve used some cleaning ( just debris from the environment) Otherwise we loved it.

It was great to have an area where you can borrow instruments to play in tue comfort of your own room. The breakfast was A+ Staff was si friendly ... A++ Right on Sunset with plenty of options for food The pool was beautiful Decor in the room was very modern and fun.
