Anchor In Hotel - Hyannis, MA

Super nice stay there three years in a row fire pit awesome pool awesome close to restaurant in walking distance awesome.

An excellent hotel. Quiet and well appointed room. Air con was welcome during hot weather. Got a really warm welcome from Sandy on reception. Room clean and tidy, if a little worn in some areas. But nothing serious. Beds very comfortable. We booked a balcony room overlooking the harbour - which had beautiful views. We visited Hyannis 8th to 12th April. A lot of businesses were either closed or due to re-open for the season. No breakfast, but hotel put on hot drinks, pastries and cereal bars. This was very welcome! Pool was not open when we visited, but is due to be open on the 1st May. There were some games available in the lounge and outside games (Badminton, connect 4) available on the lawn. We will be back. A superb hotel in a great location, very near the Nantucket ferry and only a ten minute walk to Hyannis main street.

Our rooms were very clean and updated however we were disappointed to see that the pool was drained and the fire pit was covered during our week long stay. We were disappointed that both of these were out of service considering we were here in May and the weather was beautiful the entire week.

We loved everything about our stay. So much so we rebooked to stay longer. Sandy in the front office went above and beyond to make sure my daughter and I had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. They have free cookies and lemonade in the afternoon and evening, breakfast available, a nice heated pool and a fire every evening. It’s very comfortable and you can’t beat the view from the balcony. Looking forward to hopefully returning next year.

Lovely property with a nice view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. Walking distance to dining and shopping and the ferries.

Good location easy to walk into town and to the ferry. Heated pool was great as it was a little cooler the week we stayed here, but we could still take advantage of the sunshine and the pool.

Comfortable bed. Great location. Nice balcony overlooking harbor. Pet friendly. Complimentary wine and cheese, along with lemonade, coffee or hot chocolate nightly. Comfortable library to enjoy reading or meeting other guests. Heated pool. Firepit lit each night. Continental breakfast every morning. Sandy is truly the heart and soul of the property. She meets, greets, checks guests in, serves as bellman, concierge and hostess. She is a gem. Our only issue was the toilet wouldn't stop running. The parts were not readily available to repair. Sandy offered to move us to another room, but we declined. Would highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Very pet friendly and accommodating. One of the best places we’ve stayed on the cape. Great view and very friendly staff. Also had an ev charger. Huge bonus for us

Pool and firepit

Very well kept up properly with lots of special touches. We chose it initially because it is a 10-15 minute walk to the ferries to do day trips over to Nantucket & Martha’s Vineyard islands as well as Hyannis itself. Enjoyed the evening fire pit. It has large pool but no spa pool. Staff was very friendly & efficient.

The property was well-maintained and nicely decorated. We spent a hot afternoon in the pool and enjoyed the harbor view. The room we stayed in was a double and was comfortable. There was one real problem, however, in that the bathroom had a very strong mildew smell. The odor was so strong that we had to keep the door closed and spend as little time in it as possible. We think the shower curtain was the source; we saw some mold and mildew spots on the bottom of it.

The room was extremely clean, and the balcony has some of the best views of Hyannis harbor there are. The staff is very friendly and helpful I will definitely be staying here again and recommend it to everyone!

The rooms are old and dirty. There was mold in the de-humidifiers, our floors were damp and dirty, beds were mid...I would not recommend or stay at this place again.

Very old property. I’m sure it was beautiful in its day. The outside property was pretty and landscaped. The rooms were dated, furnishings broken, moldy smell, bathrooms needed a desperate heavy duty cleaning. Floors needed sweeped. Crumbs under the desk area. Lots of extra fees we were not aware of. Pool area looked nice and fire pits outside. We didn't use any of that. Tried to get a map from the front desk. Nothing. No information about area available. Many times no front desk staff around to help. Breakfast was laden with carbs. You could walk to downtown. There was a little marina we walked around.

The staff was nice but the condition was poor and the cleanliness was horrible and very unsanitary

The location was great and in walking distance to everything. The breakfast is almost all pre-packaged food. That was disappointing. The room was ok. I expect extremely clean rooms and was disappointed that when I moved the table and a few items , there were ketchup stains that had not been cleaned. I cleaned it and said nothing to the family. The woman who greeted us the first night was extremely friendly . Her name was Mary😊

The location overlooked the harbor. It was fairly quiet except for when the ferry left the dock. The rooms are clean and well kept. The beds are comfortable.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but not particularly memorable.The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite. The room was clean and decently sized, with a comfortable bed and a balcony. However, the decor felt a bit dated, and somethings were a little bashed up. Breakfast was adequate — standard continental fare, nothing bad, but nothing special either. I appreciated the availability of coffee and lemonade in the lobby throughout the day. In short, it’s a solid choice if you're looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay, but don’t expect anything luxurious or standout. I’d stay here again if I needed to, but it wouldn’t be my first pick.

The room was very small with a full size bed (expecting at least a queen) and a very hard mattress. We didn't spend much time in the room because of that. However, the Inn itself is very pretty and offered a nice continental breakfast. The room was very clean. Booked though Expedia and seems to have changed the booking to a lower level room.

Would have been a 5 star rating but the ac/heater unit in our room was so loud it kept us up most of the night.

Nice stay with excellent front desk staff. This play used to offer an excellent fully stocked breakfast, but no longer does. We also did experience a weak wifi signal which made streaming Netlix impossible at times. The views of the harbor from this complex can't be beat.

The room was extremely clean, and the balcony has some of the best views of Hyannis harbor there are. The staff is very friendly and helpful I will definitely be staying here again and recommend it to everyone!

The room was noisy. The heat clunked off and on all night, could hear the late shower in the next room, as well as the conversation of people passing our room.

Our 2 queen bed room was very spacious and clean. The balcony view overlooking the harbor was very nice. The property has ample parking with easy room access and is very centrally located. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area.

Lower level garden view rooms do not have black out drapes. Hard to sleep due to outside lights

Great location in Hyannis. Room had lovely view and deck though we weren’t able to use because of nor’easter. Small dining area had a nice selection of snacks and a small breakfast. I would stay again when visiting. Our only knock was the mattress on the bed was very soft and could be changed out.

Wonderfully staffed, clean, and great location! Janet was super helpful to all of her guests, and a very welcoming, kind staff member. I will not hesitate to recommend Anchor In to friends and family.

The property was a very welcoming communal feel. A rare thing in a growing tourist area. Amenities are up to date and modern yet has the look of what old Cape Cod may have looked like. Sandi and the entire staff go above and beyond to make everyone comfortable, and aware of any sights or scenes you may find of interest. Definitely would recommend and Definitely will stay again if on the Cape.

The staff are wonderful. The person who checked us in gave us a tour of the property and introduced the cleaning staff and told us what hard workers they are. It was like she was showing us around her home.

The staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly ! I was worried about arriving later than anticipated the night we were checking in, but Mary at the front desk assured me that she would be there whatever time we arrived ! She gave my children and puppy treats on arrival. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was lovely. The views were beautiful. We wish we could have stayed longer ! We will definitely be back!

Oh my goodness! This is a wonderful Inn. Mary was so delightful! She was a wealth of information about the area, where to go and things to do. She was so much fun. Cheyanne was so kind and helpful also! The environment at this Inn is so peaceful. The room was not just clean and well kept, but absolutely stunning! The view of the harbor is breathtaking! Watching the ferry to Nantucket and all the sailboats in the harbor from the balcony, pool area, and fire pit was so relaxing. Nantucket ferry was an easy 2 block walk. So many shops and restaurants nearby, some walkable but many more an easy drive. We will definitely stay here on our next visits.

My husband and I and pet enjoyed our stay in Hyannis at the Anchor. The staff was truly exceptional - from front desk to house keeping. One felt at home in the common areas - kitchen, gathering room, sitting areas with views of the harbor, as well as pool area. We also had the opportunity to enjoy the gas fire pit in the evenings. Proximity to downtown and restaurants was ideal and travel was so much easier in September than peak summer months. Most areas of the Anchor have been updated, but we were given a king room with a partial harbor view and a small balcony in the wing that has not been. The bathroom is in need of renovation; it is small and dated without proper safety features.

Great hotel in excellent position to explore Hyannis, the islands and Cape Cod. Picturesque and handy to eating, walks and shopping as well as local buses.

Property location is excellent - on the harbor but short drive/walking distance to Main Street with many shops/restaurants. Plenty of parking. Staff is very friendly! We were greeted with a nice welcome and a tour of the property. We were given great restaurant suggestions! Common areas were fresh and looked to have been updated recently. Our room was on the second floor with only stair access. We are both seniors and it took some effort to get our luggage up/down to/from our room. The room was spacious and clean with a safe balcony that had a nice view of the harbor. The beds were comfortable and clean and there was plenty of seating and storage in the room and on the balcony (seating). There was a strong smell of cleaning products in the room. The room could use a bit of a refresh - paint was scuffed in several areas and it was difficult to access the coffee maker due to very little space. The water pressure in the shower was light so it took a while to thoroughly rinse my long-ish hair. At check-in they offer a choice of daily housekeeping or a basket of towels, coffee, toilet paper, etc. be left at the room. We liked that we had options! We chose a basket. We left our room at 8:30 and returned around 1 and we were happy to see the basket (bag) was by the door when we arrived. Unfortunately, the bag had only fresh towels, nothing else. Free breakfast offered good variety. No recycle bins in our room. Didn't notice any in the common areas either.

Overall good hotel. Only complaint would be the LONG line for the coffee machine downstairs in breakfast area. Need a second machine! Only other thing was dirty bathroom exhaust fan.. could use a cleaning. Otherwise a good hotel.

The hotel is very well managed nicely maintained. Great harbour location for catching the ferries as well. The breakfast is prepackaged items designed for grab and go.

Great location near the Hyannis Port where the passenger ferry goes to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Loved the gas outside firepit by the pool. Very friendly staff. Continental breakfast was limited in selection as well as quantity of food.

My family had a great stay. We planned to explore different parts of the Cape ovee our stay and this location was great for that. Great service. Plenty of fresh towels. Comfortable spacious room. Convenient breakfast, although on one morning the selection was very limited during the last hour of breakfast.
