The hotel has a great location and many highlights. The funicular is an attraction in itself! The breakfast was fantastic, and I loved the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. My room was spacious, with a lovely terrace and a fresh, renovated bathroom, although the furniture felt dated A special thank you to Petr at reception, who was extremely helpful throughout my stay and made my birthday celebrations special. Unfortunately, a red-haired female employee at breakfast was rude and dismissive. She ignored me when I thanked her for the fried egg, responded to questions by pointing at signs, and showed little courtesy towards guests. Her attitude was noticeable, and I saw other guests reacting to it too. When I addressed her behaviour directly, she ignored my feedback and continued as before. On Saturday, 19 September, a blonde female receptionist without a name badge refused to get me a glass of ice for my knee, claiming she could not access the restaurang due to a private event. She then told me to order and pay for room service. The day before, Petr had helped me immediately. I found this response completely unacceptable. A simple request for ice should not become a paid room service order. I hope management addresses these incidents with the staff concerned. The hotel has much to offer, but these experiences affected my stay.

Clean and spacious rooms, our toilet was not clean on arrival but it was quickly sorted by the reception/cleaner. Comfortable beds, quiet location....we slept well. Breakfast was nice, lots to choose from. Wellness area is lacking slightly, the pool is very small. The lift to rooms is currently out of service so they operate a shuttle from the main entrance. The restaurant/room service are pricey but there is a shopping mall with large Tesco nearby. Overall a good stay.
