Restaurant service very slow. Over an hour from ordering to main courses arriving. Had to chase them up many times. This is not ideal when travelling with hungry children and when you want to get an early night for an early flight. Then when the food did arrive parts of the main course was missing and a drink never arrived. We booked a family room and we had a double bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was rock hard and my daughter refused to sleep on it so my wife did, she got no sleep all night due to it being so uncomfortable. We thought it would be a more relaxing start to our holiday with an early flight staying here but in all honesty we’d have been better off driving to the airport in the morning the lack of sleep we got here.

Modern well located airport hotel. Well appointed rooms, very clean and comfortable. Quiet rooms. Great beds and bathrooms. Unfortunately the Middle Eastern restaurant was a disaster and spoiled our stay. Expensive for what was served, amd the service was sloooooooooooow, and drinks did not arrive with food.

Good hotel, right beside Terminal 2. 24 hour reception was good as we were arriving in the early hours after a flight. Parking was tight though, and I thought £25 for overnight parking as a guest was very steep. Lovely and bright comfortable room; we were informed on check in that we'd be in a twin room rather than a double, which was fine for us but may have not been ok for others. Only one set of towels in the room too, and when we called down to reception to report this and get more brought up, there was no answer. Nice modern walk-in shower and eco-friendly water cartons and room key cards, which was impressive. Overall, we would stay there again, although we'd be wary of the parking situation and price, which isn't ideal.

Hotel itself is decent for a pre airport night. They charge £25 for parking, only for you to get a parking fine a couple of weeks later. ‘Oh if you don’t get another letter it’s sorted’. Not good enough. Needs a more robust system for parking that doesn’t end up in people getting fined despite having already paid.

This is a new hotel my double room was well designed. Free wifi, ensuite shower room. Free selection of teas and coffee, plus tins of water. Restaurant menu interesting but for me the meal service was dreadful (nearly an hour) took two requests to eventually get my starter. In fairness the manager took the price of my drink off the bill.

Ideal place to stay and walk to T2, nice rooms, new, comfy. Restaurants was really busy, service was not great. Forgot my chips then didn’t rectify until I had asked again they came when I finished my meal. Starter came with main meal and had to take the main meal back and re cook.

Comfy beds, room clean and tidy. Breakfast good. £25 for 24 hours parking is very excessive and if you’re not local you would not know where else to park. So they have you, appalling really!

Room wasn't cleaned when I opened the door. Cleaning staff on the 4th floor were fantastic. Had the room turned around in 30 mins while I went out for a walk. Afternoon House Keeping Supervisor / staff was efficient and so pleasant.

We stayed one night at this airport Holiday Inn. It was fine for what we needed, with a nicely updated shower and individual thermostat. Only problem was they gave my husband and me a twin room even though our booking was for a queen. I was too tired from our delayed flight to argue about it, so we just slept in separate beds that night.

First time staying at this hotel and we were very pleased with the standard. Great location to terminal 2, just across the road from arrivals. The rooms were very nice and spacious with a sitting area and small table. Comfy bed, nespresso coffee machine, walk-in shower, couldn’t fault the facilities at all.

We were greeted by Janet she was really friendly and helpful we received a very warm welcome she has very polite the hotel cleanliness, comfort, amenities, bed, shower power, staff & location all perfect 10/10 & the manager on duty was a really nice polite friendly lady called Lindsay she was very pleasant to talk to and promised me a game of chess on my next stay so that will be my request on my next stay I look forward to coming back in October !! ( I will check mate Lindsay )

The hotel is very convenient close to T2 from Manchester International Airport. Breakfast was good. The facilities is quite new. However, they do not a. Let luggage storage as advertised by hotels.com we chose to stay at this hotel because of the luggage service advertised because we planned to go to Nottingham for a couple days by train after staying at the hotel for one night, and returning back to stay another couple nights, what a disappointment that they refused to keep our luggage stored at the hotel. And we had to drag our 2 pieces of big luggage and the carry on on the train!

Hotel is in very good condition.One problem I had was when I asked one of the staff on the desk if they would put my medication in the fridge overnight, as I needed it for my 2 week trip to USA. She wouldn't, and gave me a bucket of ice instead. No good for the medicine, ruined,so had to do without it. Not good healthwise. Never had this problem anywhere else. Other hotels very helpful. Will go somewhere else next time.

The check-in was quick and efficient. All of the staff I came into contact with were polite, professional and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. The menu in the restaurant was varied. The meal I had was enjoyable and reasonably priced. If you need a hotel room near Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It cost 25 pounds to park a car, so my friends were not able to stay and have dinner with me. I tried to get assistance to the airport but was told they couldn't help me. Asked for a telephone number to the airport handicap assistance but they didn't have a number. Tried to get directions to walk over by myself. Finally, after explaining that I walk on a recently amputated foot, a desk representative finally came from behind the desk to point out where I needed to walk to get to airport terminal 2. Breakfast dining room staff were helpful. I DO NOT PLAN TO EVER STAY AT THIS HOLIDAY INN AGAIN, EVEN THOUGH I AM A IHG MEMBER.

The hotel itself is great. The rooms are modern and the bed bety comfy. I had a few issues during my stay with the service. Checking in was fine but i had issues during my stay: 1. Do not disturb - despite having sign on my door saying to not disturb, i had 3 separate occasions during my stay where cleaners came into my room without knocking. One of which i was getting changed and in my underwear. I have a personality disorder, and part of that i get severe anxiety... which having this happen multiple times definitely made me on edge. 2. There was a lot of bits (like confetti) on the floor from the previous guests... it's like the carpet wasnt vacuumed. 3. I went to onsite for a coffee (approx 3pm) and was stood around for a while, as there were no workers about. It's a great hotel and if you don't suffer from any mental disorders, I'm sure you'll be fine. However, i hope the management ensure the cleaning team are familiar with the door sign protocols, as it really did impact my stay.

Hotel is great for its proximity to the airport. Such a shame they dont answer messages from hotels.com especially when its a query about accessibility and help needed. And also there is a clear difference in check in styles when you haven't used IHG to book as it felt far less friendly and focused than the the person who was a member next to me. I am a member but booked through hotels.com for the better deal

Fish and chips, despite being one of their signature dishes, was not available. Tv in room didn’t work - although this was put right fairly quickly by maintenance staff Rather further from terminal 1 than perhaps the pr material suggests - particularly awkward when not all the airport travelators working.

Stayed the night before a long haul flight. Quick and easy check in. Really clean and good amenities in the room. Easy to park and validate and close to the train station if you want to go into Manchester. Right next to terminal 2. Great selection for breakfast and has a Starbucks inside.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly with quick check in. The rooms were very clean and plenty of room with a comfy bed. The evening meal in the restaurant had various options we chose the Turkish sharing platter which was delicious, highly recommend this hotel for closeness to the hotel and being great in every way! Will definitely book again

The receptionist got my name wrong on check in. The service in the bar and restaurant was poor. Confusion about where to order food. We had to remind waiting staff about a good item that didn't arrive with the rest of our meal. Breakfast was very poor. There were a lot of options but got food was undercooked and lukewarm. Room was nice and comfortable.

Lovely stay. Room very comfortable. Staff lovely. Only gripe we had was the 12.5% service charge that was added to our restaurant bill. We asked for it to be taken off and it was. However the system of adding a service charge automatically is one of my pet hates. It added over £6 to our bill. Had it not been added with the assumption we would pay it we would have left a tip. Awful practice.

Had a evening meal which was ok but a bit expensive. We had a takeaway breakfast which was really poor value for money as our flight was early in the morning.It was all sugar food and a orange juice which was taken of us through security so we did not eat any of the breakfast sugar load very disappointed. Book room only if early flight and take your own food
