Myself and my wife found the hotel Fortezza, along with the staff and amenities first class, we have stayed in many hotels all around the world and can honestly say that even though it may not be a 5star rated accommodation, it met all of the most important requirements Ie., cleanliness, excellent helpful staff, good amenities, great location. Michael and Patricia. O’Neill.

Everything about this hotel was good. The accommodation felt new, clean, and very well maintained. The location was excellent — within walking distance of the bus station and very close to the waterfront and many dining options. Breakfast was great and the staff helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is "old school" in the nicest possible way. Phones in the room, real keys, 24/7 desk staff, beautiful breakfast room with linen tablecloths. Great location. I highly recommend it.

The Fortezza is a lovely hotel in a great location within the old town. Nice rooms pool, bar area and the the staff where very helpful. I cant fault the place, if you are visiting Rethymnon i cant think of a better place to stay.
