the spicy coconut restaurant on site and the other adjacent restaurant offer excellent food. Staff at the Spicy coconut were great. Pool was clean and nice. Lots of wildlife on site. We had Sloths climbing around the spicy cocunut restaurant while we ate. huge iguanas in the trees around the pool. agoutis walking around the grounds in the day. Rooms are clean and basic. Beds are IMO too hard and uncomfortable, but that is personal preference. Price on expedia was reasonable. Located right across from the animal rescue farm.

This is an older resort hotel that has been very well maintained, surrounded by mature gardens that provide ample space for wildlife, shade and relaxation. There is a pool with a waterfall, a shaded bubble pool and tot area. One excellent restaurant on site and another right next door. The beach out front is coral tide pools that you can sit in, a short walk to the right brings you to a sandy beach with snorkelling and a little further to a beautiful curve for playing in the waves, all with very few people. Service in the hotel was excellent. Breakfast is delivered to your room at your preferred time and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Simply delightful.

Quel bel endroit tranquille logé entre la forêt et la plage!! Nous avons eu le plaisir de voir de très près des singes hurleurs (et surtout de les entendre!), des paresseux, un toucan, des grenouilles, des aguatis, des poissons , des iguanes, etc sur le site de l’hôtel. La piscine a été un incontournable pour se rafraîchir pendant la journée. Nous n’avions pas de voiture et c’est facile de se débrouiller. Le Jaguar rescue center est juste l’autre côté de la rue, Cocles est accessible à la marche ou en Tuk Tuk et on s’est rendu au Parc national de Cahuita en transport en commun qui passe devant l’hôtel. Personnel serviable. Les 2 restaurants sont excellents, beaucoup de choix, et les prix semblent raisonnables vs les comparatifs. Déjeuner inclus, servis à a la chambre, à manger sur le balcon avec vue et découverte de la faune 😊

Very comfortable and well kept. Great dining, pool Jacuzzi and the beach is so close. I felt safe and a lot within 20 walk. The staff were great. Plan tours early. Horseback riding on the beach is recommended

Super Hotel in direkter Strandlage. Großes, schönes Zimmer mit breitem Bett. Bad sehr klein, großer Balkon. Schöner Pool, sicheres Parken. Gutes Frühstück wird aufs Zimmer gebracht. Hilfsbereites Personal. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Strand sehr schön mir Schatten unter Palmen aber auch Felsen im Wasser. Absolut empfehlenswert

Beach front. This hotel is a paradise! Rooms Kitchen and living room. Staff was súper nice! They have 2 stations with cold filtered water. You can walk 8Km through the beach to the right and 3km to the left. 2 restaurants in the complex.

Nos encanta quedarnos en este hotel, el acceso a la playa es muy conveniente y los restaurantes que están en la propiedad excelentes. Lo único que empaño nuestra última visita fue la presencia de cucarachas, algo que sabemos es difícil de controlar en el trópico, pero a lo que definitivamente deben prestar más atención. Estaremos muy atentos en nuestra próxima visita, que ya tenemos reservada, esperamos que sea un problema superado porque queremos mantenerlos como nuestro destino.
Nos encanta quedarnos en este hotel, el acceso a la playa es muy conveniente y los restaurantes que están en la propiedad excelentes. The grounds were beautiful. Can see ocean from room. It’s an older property but well kept. The staff were amazing. Naomi was always accommodating, went out of her way to call on excursions, check on restaurants, filling cooler with ice and always with a smile. She made are stay there even more amazing. Jenifer also was always willing to accommodate. The breakfast delivered to room each morning was fabulous. We definitely will be back again.

The staff is welcoming and helpful. Management was accommodating in exchanging room due to road noise. Objectively I cannot see how this property is rated 5 stars. 2/3 due to age of the facility. Example the Wood beams “rained” moth eggs on the bed.

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und die Zimmer dunkel. Wir haben zunächst ein Zimmer bekommen, in dem - bis auf die Terrasse hinaus - ein lautes Brummen zu hören war. Konnten glücklicherweise direkt wechseln. Die Terrasse war groß, aber lieblos ausgestattet mit einem feststehenden Steintisch mit unbequemen Bänken und zwei halb kaputten Plastikliegen. WLAN funktionierte teils gar nicht, teils langsam. Das Frühstück wird aufs Zimmer gebracht und ist leider nicht besonders gut (3 Optionen verfügbar, 2 haben wir probiert). Schön ist, dass man mit Meeresrauschen einschläft, auch wenn sich das Meer direkt am Hotel aufgrund der Strömung eher bedingt zum Baden eignet. Die Anlage hat einen gepflegten Garten, in dem wir Agutis gesehen haben. Spät abends hangelte sich außerdem ein Faultier mit Baby an der Überdachung vor den Zimmereingängen entlang. Cahuita NP und Punta Uva sind nur eine kurze Fahrt entfernt und sehr empfehlenswert. In die Gegen würden wir in jedem Fall wiederkommen, aber dann in ein anderes Hotel.

Es un destino fijo siempre que voy a puerto viejo, el lugar es muy bonito, de las veces que no hemos quedado la unica queja es esta ultima vez que nos aparecieron varias cucarachas en la habitacion, destacar el detalle del desayuno a la habitacion.

Nice room with A/C. Excellent location in more secluded area. Directly on the beach and all rooms have ocean view. Lovely tropical garden and grounds. Monkeys and sloths sighted daily. Good restaurants adjacent. Beach by the hotel is rocky do best for wading. Not a surfing or swimming beach.

The only complaint we have with this property was that the beds are very uncomfortable to hard for our liking ! But otherwise it was a lovely stay!

Beachfront was very nice and picturesque. We saw so many animals just in front of our room. We were lucky to get room 26 as the rest of the rooms overlooked a dilapidated roof. Bathrooms were tiny and shower pressure was really low. Lots of traffic noise as rooms are literally beside the main highway. Breakfast was amazing and service was great. Quality and size of beach towels could be improved. Overall, excellent for your money.

The grounds were beautiful. Can see ocean from room. It’s an older property but well kept. The staff were amazing. Naomi was always accommodating, went out of her way to call on excursions, check on restaurants, filling cooler with ice and always with a smile. She made are stay there even more amazing. Jenifer also was always willing to accommodate. The breakfast delivered to room each morning was fabulous. We definitely will be back again.

The staff is welcoming and helpful. Management was accommodating in exchanging room due to road noise. Objectively I cannot see how this property is rated 5 stars. 2/3 due to age of the facility. Example the Wood beams “rained” moth eggs on the bed.

Staff went over and beyond to help us after there was an Expedia mix up. The staff took time to clear things up so we could begin enjoying our vacation m. The restaurants on the property were exceptional. Beautiful tropical resort with monkeys and a sloth. Comfortable room.

Hotel had a great location right on the beach. Breakfast was provided, staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again, accommodations were good. Condition of the hotel is ok, of the other properties I saw it was one of the nicer ones.

Quel bel endroit tranquille logé entre la forêt et la plage!! Nous avons eu le plaisir de voir de très près des singes hurleurs (et surtout de les entendre!), des paresseux, un toucan, des grenouilles, des aguatis, des poissons , des iguanes, etc sur le site de l’hôtel. La piscine a été un incontournable pour se rafraîchir pendant la journée. Nous n’avions pas de voiture et c’est facile de se débrouiller. Le Jaguar rescue center est juste l’autre côté de la rue, Cocles est accessible à la marche ou en Tuk Tuk et on s’est rendu au Parc national de Cahuita en transport en commun qui passe devant l’hôtel. Personnel serviable. Les 2 restaurants sont excellents, beaucoup de choix, et les prix semblent raisonnables vs les comparatifs. Déjeuner inclus, servis à a la chambre, à manger sur le balcon avec vue et découverte de la faune 😊

We loved our stay here! Nice room with a beachy vibe. The grounds are incredible! I woke up early every morning and went out to watch the great green macaws fly in and out of the trees to eat and walk along the sandy path in front of the hotel. The beach is steps away from the hotel, and I loved swinging on the many swings they have watching the sunrise and wildlife. There’s a great restaurant next door, The Spicy Coconut, which was super convenient since we didn’t have a car. Loved it here and would most definitely stay again!

The gardens are beautiful. We were able to see sloths and howler monkeys without ever leaving the grounds. The restaurant on-site is great too. We were able to walk to the scooter/bike rental so we’d have transportation into town. Too far to walk for us-maybe 3 miles each way? We’d stay again for sure.

El acceso directo a la playa, la cual tiene varias pozas o piscinas. Además de exuberante vegetación que le permite a uno disfrutar del mar si asolearse. Me gustó mucho que le lleven a uno el desayuno a la habitación. Sin costo. El restaurante es excelente.

Excellent séjour dans cet établissement, dans un appartement en duplex de 2 chambres, avec services hôteliers ! La plage est à 50m du logement, la vue est magnifique et le jardin est très bien entretenu. La piscine est superbe et le petit déjeuner très copieux.

This is an older resort hotel that has been very well maintained, surrounded by mature gardens that provide ample space for wildlife, shade and relaxation. There is a pool with a waterfall, a shaded bubble pool and tot area. One excellent restaurant on site and another right next door. The beach out front is coral tide pools that you can sit in, a short walk to the right brings you to a sandy beach with snorkelling and a little further to a beautiful curve for playing in the waves, all with very few people. Service in the hotel was excellent. Breakfast is delivered to your room at your preferred time and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Simply delightful.

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und die Zimmer dunkel. Wir haben zunächst ein Zimmer bekommen, in dem - bis auf die Terrasse hinaus - ein lautes Brummen zu hören war. Konnten glücklicherweise direkt wechseln. Die Terrasse war groß, aber lieblos ausgestattet mit einem feststehenden Steintisch mit unbequemen Bänken und zwei halb kaputten Plastikliegen. WLAN funktionierte teils gar nicht, teils langsam. Das Frühstück wird aufs Zimmer gebracht und ist leider nicht besonders gut (3 Optionen verfügbar, 2 haben wir probiert). Schön ist, dass man mit Meeresrauschen einschläft, auch wenn sich das Meer direkt am Hotel aufgrund der Strömung eher bedingt zum Baden eignet. Die Anlage hat einen gepflegten Garten, in dem wir Agutis gesehen haben. Spät abends hangelte sich außerdem ein Faultier mit Baby an der Überdachung vor den Zimmereingängen entlang. Cahuita NP und Punta Uva sind nur eine kurze Fahrt entfernt und sehr empfehlenswert. In die Gegen würden wir in jedem Fall wiederkommen, aber dann in ein anderes Hotel.

This property is beachfront with opportunity to spot wildlife on a daily basis. The staff is helpful and friendly and we enjoyed having a kitchenette. The property is older but clean. We loved the location and proximity to all the things we wanted to do. The onsite restaurant was nice and daily breakfast choice was very good.

Absolutly beautiful. The property is stunning, with lush gardens and a clean refreshing pool and 2 excellent restaurants on the property. The staff were so kind and helpful, the room was cleaned perfectly daily. We requested breakfast at 7am and it arrived exactly at 6:59 daily. There are 4 choises of a fresh and delicious breakfast with juice coffee fruit toast and jam and a main dish. Our stay was wonderful.
