The Citta Alta in Bergamo was a tricky place to navigate in a car, and we had difficulty finding the hotel. We were kindly rescued by the Manager, Patrizia, who asked what we were near, and walked to find us, and directed us to a parking garage and the hotel. She and Christina were valuable resources. Our room was spacious and clean and the hotel location was perfect for exploring the Citta Alta.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a city view. The listing stated private bathroom, which it had, but you had to leave the apartment to get to the bathroom, which wasn't convenient in the middle of the night. The property is very dated and although it had a full kitchen with a cooker and dishwasher, it didn't have a kettle. There was a central kettle for shared use in the entrance to the apartments. I found these two aspects odd and inconvenient. Other than that, it was a good price, it's well located, close to the funicular and walkable to everywhere in Bergamo Citta Alta.

Bra läge i Citta Alta. Nära bergbanan & närhet till restauranger och vinbarer. Trevlig och tillmötesgående värd. Nära även till litet snabbköp. Fanns tillgång till paraply. Ren, stor fin lägenhet, dock hade vi fönster ut mot gatan som bergbanan vetter emot. Vi bodde två nätter ( helg ) Och det var musik och högljutt båda nätterna fram till ca 02.00... Är man ljudkänslig , kolla om det finns lägenhet mot gården..rekommenderar ej om man har små barn som vill kunna sova i lägenheten som vetter mot bergbanan. Varken vi eller barnet kunde sova. Hade varit trevligt med dusch & toalettartiklar. på grund av ej fungerande hiss ,blev vi av värden ombedda att ställa barnvagnen i trapphuset.. någon tyckte dock detta inte var ett bra alternativ, så de ställde ut barnvagen utanför de låsta grindarna på gatan... som tur var stod den kvar när vi kom tillbaka. Plus tyckte vi var läget, värden Minus- Långa vakna nätter på grund av hög musik & glada skratt utanför fönstret.

Fomos muito bem recebidos por Patricia, que é muito simpática. O apartamento era muito bom. Tinha cozinha. Estava limpo. O lugar era muito bem localizado na cidade alta, ou seja, na parte antiga. Porém, o grande inconveniente foi com relação ao estacionamento. Não tinha local para estacionar o carro. O apartamento fica localizado em uma área que só pode ser acessado por residentes e carros elétricos. Havia um estacionamento público a 150 metros, mas que estava lotado. Então, restou estacionar o carro a mais ou menos 500 metros de distância. Isso depois de ficar quase uma hora procurando um local adequado para deixar o carro. Realmente isso foi muito desagradável.

This apartment is gorgeous and is in one of the best positions in Bergamo to enjoy all the city has to offer. Spotlessly clean and good provision for kitchen use were just some of the attributes. Those with big luggage will appreciate the elevator even though Sofia is in a historic building. 50 metres from the funicula whose down station is 10m from bus 1A which runs into the CBD and more excellent shopping, restaurants and cafes. Highly recommended.

Very comfy and clean, right in the old city. The host was very easy to contact, which was helpful for check-in. The apartment was really comfortable, beds were great. The only challenge was our room was directly above a university bar hangout, and there was quite a bit of street noise 9:30 pm- 12:30 am both weekday nights we were there. For parents with young kid, it was not the best, which is why I marked down on comfort. For a younger couple, it may be great. I am not sure the noise was usual, if you are concerned, just contact the host. She was fantastic.

We loved everything about this place. The host went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome and we were well catered for. Amazing communication too. The room itself was spacious and very clean. The property is well located, with many nice bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and historical buildings close by plus the funicular which is a 30 second walk. Would highly recommend!

The place is in the middle of the old town, which is a perfect location. I also have to appreciate the super-friendly owner/provider who helped me accommodate and explained everything. My bathroom was not within my room, but the bathroom was private (just for my room), so no big deal. The place can also be a bit noisy, but that is the tax for being in the centre of the old town.

The Citta Alta in Bergamo was a tricky place to navigate in a car, and we had difficulty finding the hotel. We were kindly rescued by the Manager, Patrizia, who asked what we were near, and walked to find us, and directed us to a parking garage and the hotel. She and Christina were valuable resources. Our room was spacious and clean and the hotel location was perfect for exploring the Citta Alta.

The host of the apartment - Paola - was above and beyond helping with parking, check in and unloading our bags. The apartment itself is in good shape and has everything one could wish for a share stay. The only issue for us was the fact that it’s on two levels and we had an 85 year old with us and staircase was not easy for her. Other than that - perfect stay.

The place is in the middle of the old town, which is a perfect location. I also have to appreciate the super-friendly owner/provider who helped me accommodate and explained everything. My bathroom was not within my room, but the bathroom was private (just for my room), so no big deal. The place can also be a bit noisy, but that is the tax for being in the centre of the old town.

Bra läge i Citta Alta. Nära bergbanan & närhet till restauranger och vinbarer. Trevlig och tillmötesgående värd. Nära även till litet snabbköp. Fanns tillgång till paraply. Ren, stor fin lägenhet, dock hade vi fönster ut mot gatan som bergbanan vetter emot. Vi bodde två nätter ( helg ) Och det var musik och högljutt båda nätterna fram till ca 02.00... Är man ljudkänslig , kolla om det finns lägenhet mot gården..rekommenderar ej om man har små barn som vill kunna sova i lägenheten som vetter mot bergbanan. Varken vi eller barnet kunde sova. Hade varit trevligt med dusch & toalettartiklar. på grund av ej fungerande hiss ,blev vi av värden ombedda att ställa barnvagnen i trapphuset.. någon tyckte dock detta inte var ett bra alternativ, så de ställde ut barnvagen utanför de låsta grindarna på gatan... som tur var stod den kvar när vi kom tillbaka. Plus tyckte vi var läget, värden Minus- Långa vakna nätter på grund av hög musik & glada skratt utanför fönstret.

Fomos muito bem recebidos por Patricia, que é muito simpática. O apartamento era muito bom. Tinha cozinha. Estava limpo. O lugar era muito bem localizado na cidade alta, ou seja, na parte antiga. Porém, o grande inconveniente foi com relação ao estacionamento. Não tinha local para estacionar o carro. O apartamento fica localizado em uma área que só pode ser acessado por residentes e carros elétricos. Havia um estacionamento público a 150 metros, mas que estava lotado. Então, restou estacionar o carro a mais ou menos 500 metros de distância. Isso depois de ficar quase uma hora procurando um local adequado para deixar o carro. Realmente isso foi muito desagradável.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a city view. The listing stated private bathroom, which it had, but you had to leave the apartment to get to the bathroom, which wasn't convenient in the middle of the night. The property is very dated and although it had a full kitchen with a cooker and dishwasher, it didn't have a kettle. There was a central kettle for shared use in the entrance to the apartments. I found these two aspects odd and inconvenient. Other than that, it was a good price, it's well located, close to the funicular and walkable to everywhere in Bergamo Citta Alta.
