Booked a room for Uncle Joe for 2 nights and paid for 2 nights. They kicked him out after 1. Very confusing: checked out, no resolution.

The pictures of this place are completely deceiving. The building is Motel 6 run down and in a really bad part of town. When we checked into the unit, it was filthy (especially the kitchen and dining table). I pulled out my lysol wipes, and they turned black from the nastiness on the countertops. The entire place reeked of thick cigarette smoke and marijuana, including all the other floors of the building as well as the lobby. This is most definitely not a place for families or a nice trip. I canceled the remainder of our stay and rebooked at another hotel. Really disgusting.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. However there are definitely some pros and cons to this location. Pros: The check in process was quick, easy, and simple. My hotel room was spacious, all the appliances worked, bed was clean and comfortable, and heating and cooling worked properly as well. Hot water was plentiful (although it did take a few minutes to fully cycle through to allow for a hot shower). Cons: Front desk staff was rude and dismissive when I approached them telling them I was checking in (as per the app) and basically told me to get lost as long as I had all the information I needed. There is only one elevator that services the whole 9 floor building. It is very slow and rickety which just proved to be an inconvenience more than anything. I was provided no washcloths or butter knives even though I was staying in the Penthouse Suite which I thought was odd. The whole room itself looked like it was hastily remodeled. The room had visible scuff marks, random stains on the walls, the vents were beyond disgusting covered in a thick layer of dust, the floors had random white stuff stuck in the grouting, there were lots of visible holes in the walls and doors, and the entire room needed a serious paint job.

Beds seemed clean and were comfortable but the rest of the room was not particularly clean. Floors were sticky. Bathrooms and doors seemed dusty. Nowhere to set luggage down that wasn’t the dirty floor.
