There are only 2 elevators here, so bring some walking shoes. Also, they do not have premium liquor.

The property was well kept and the dining options were great. I liked the idea of the multiple swimming pools.

Rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly. The staff did an amazing job of keeping the public areas very clean. Only issue I had was I wish there were restrooms by the main theater and main lobby area. It was a far walk to the one by the steak house restaurant or having to walk all the way to the sports bar area when watching a show. Otherwise me and my friends loved the resort and are already talking about coming back.

The pool area closes too early but the area was amazing while open. It’s and adult only resort nit sure why it closes at 8:00. The restaurant next to the pool closes at 4PM - too early.

Property and rooms were very clean. Air conditioning worked great! all the staff were super friendly and we loved that the restaurants were close together. Food and drinks were overall very good. The hotel also tried its best to eliminate the mosquito problem by fogging the outdoor areas. Really amazing property and we will definitely visit again!

The pools and water slides were our favorite parts. The resort was a bit far from any outside shopping.

Pools were great. Restaurants were good. Service all around was fantastic. Don't expect to get any sleep before midnight. Very noisy from guests and late night activities.

Rooms were always cleaned every day, the entertainment team made the trip really enjoyable and the food and waterslides were awesome

There were four pools with different vibes at each. Two swim up bars, a main pool with entertainment, and a quiet pool for relaxing. Great hotel and good entertainment. Night club was fun.

Only thing I did not like was that all the chairs were reserved by the pools early. I don’t know how you can stop that. Otherwise, we had a lovely visit.

Sehr schön gepflegte Hotelanlage. Alles war sauber, von der Lobby zum Strand, vom Zimmer bis zum Restaurant. Das Personal was äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit, lächelten jederzeit. Aussergewöhnlich gut war das Essen in jedem Redtaurant sowie die Arbeit des Animationsteam. Man merkte, dass sie mit herzblut in ihrem Job arbeiteten und verbreiteten grosse Freude.

Hotel was very clean, the food was good. New hotel.

It is nice and beautiful hotel, the beach is clean, wonderful shows at night, great entertainment during the day, food is good and testy too. The reason that i give 4 stars is because the towels was not clean, and glasses and plates in buffet feels like not clean too. There is a nightclub in the property that makes lots of noise, even after close at 2am, people are screaming all night and doesn't let others to sleep.

They have bed bugs and the property is nasty

Pros: Staff was great, check-in was seemless, beautiful property rooms were spacious. Cons: Our first day the AC at the resort was out causing the rooms to be 80 degrees. I understand maintenance issues happen but the resort did not provide any accommodations for that situation i.e a discount at the spa, portable ACs etc. watch out for the reusable cups a few times there were lipstick marks on the rim

We had an amazing stay at RIU Latino! The resort is beautifully designed, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food exceeded our expectations with a wide variety of tasty options. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and offered a gorgeous view. We especially enjoyed the pool areas and daily activities—they made it easy to relax or have fun, whatever we were in the mood for. The only letdown was the drinks—they looked appealing but didn’t quite match up in flavor or quality. Still, everything else was so fantastic that we’d absolutely return. Highly recommend RIU Latino for a fun, adults-only escape!

Very courteous staff - housekeeping, bartenders, reception, pool staff, managers. It was all exceptional. Manager sent up champagne as we didn’t care for the mini bar selections. Food was wonderful. We ate at two of the restaurants - Kulinarium and Milan. Great food and service!! The buffet was also really good. Spacious and clean. First time at an adults-only resort, and I’ll definitely do that again. The pools were never too busy, and it was easy to find loungers. The beach was wonderful - beautiful sand and no trash. I’d go again!!!

Our room was above the “club”. So we could hear music every night till 1-2am. Other than that, good resort!

Construction next to hotel, i had asked to move and they moved me to the same area different floor.

Rooms were great. Gym was lacking, Food was 7.5/10. Workers were great throughout the trip. Really enjoyed this trip.

Overall fantastic stay. Food was good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Accommodation were right where they need to be. Room was great only downside was toilet in separate room and it’s not very big room. But overall didn’t spend much time in room anyways so technically it washes out or really wouldn’t count against them. View was amazing over courtyard and gulf.

Disappointing Service at an Otherwise Nice Hotel We recently stayed at Riu Latino in Cancun, and while the hotel itself was modern, clean, and well-maintained, the service left a lot to be desired. The food options were decent, and the property itself was visually appealing, but the lack of service really impacted our experience. It seemed like the staff was either overworked or understaffed because, across the board—whether in the restaurants, bars, or general dining areas—service was slow, unfriendly, and at times, outright rude. Getting anything done required a long wait, and often, we had to resort to helping ourselves rather than relying on staff assistance. For a resort of this caliber, we expected a much more welcoming and efficient experience. While the setting was beautiful, the service made it difficult to fully enjoy our stay. Hopefully, management addresses these concerns because, with better service, this could be a fantastic destination.

STAFFFFFF are very very rude specially the one at reception, they are the first one to welcome people at the property so better have a better customer service Rooms were never ready till after 5 hours . Also, while checking in asking for an extra charge when at $2968 / 3 nights everything was paid for all inclusive while asking why we pay more kept saying “you have to pay “ without explaining what is it for . Only 1 card (key) was provided because she was so lazy to give the 2nd key said is not ready yet the key when second day went to ask for a key the reception just got new card and put it into machine and made a key for us I don’t get it why she said is not ready we’re they just make the keys!! Terrible experience don’t suggest to no one not sure how other say is excellent I booked it based on the review I was reading Soooo disappointed

Overall the resort and entertainment were pleasant. Might have given a little better review but we had some clothing stolen from our room and the staff didn’t seem all that concerned about it. One was a really nice jacket.

Es nuestra segunda vez en este hotel. Todo muy limpio, el equipo excelente. El manager Lisandro como siempre muy atento a todo. En el comedor Teresita, Guadalupe, Jesus M, Brian muy amables y serviciales. El equipo de entretenimiento, los bartenders en fin todos los empleados nos dieron un trato super.

Food and entertainment great! Room clean, mini fridge well stocked, a/c works well, large bathroom. Staff friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Lots of options for dining. Will definitely be back again!

BOOK HOTEL THROUGH THEIR SITE! Lesson learned the hard way. highly recommend not booking through Expedia because we probably could’ve gotten a refund two days prior to the trip but the hotel couldn’t help us because we booked through Expedia. They were still getting our money for the people who could still go, but still charged us for four people- the 2 who couldn’t was due to a death two days before the trip. There were other rooms the front desk could’ve put us in for just the price of two people, that part REALLY sucked. People at the desk even said “book through our site so we could’ve helped you more” Besides that the stay was great! Excellent resort, super clean, great resort staff, we had a blast. Front desk staff was open to downgrading us but it all fell in their sales team hands. If you have better luck than us then don’t worry about our review! Unless you got some bad luck sometimes then keep it in mind haha. BOOK HOTEL THROUGH THEIR SITE!

First day someone stole my husbands shirt, second day someone stole my husbands phone and sunglasses. We left early.

Beautiful grounds and hotel layout. Staff maintains building well; clean. Front desk helpful. Plenty of pools, easy access to clean, quiet beach. One onsite basic shop. Decent jewelry store. Bought from both. No deals on souvenirs/snacks. Room well-kept; requested body wash multiple times. Not fancy layout but spacious, comfy. TV glitchy (satellite?). Bed fair firmness, thin sheets—good for humidity. AC great, kept humidity out. Hallway/balcony humid (warning). Various bars, nice for drinkers. Limited mixed drinks menu. Alcohol options thin but plentiful. Sports bar OK for quick drink; rowdy/messy when full. Sandwiches/snacks available when other food closed. Spa decent; sauna/pools included. Underutilized. Paid massage and body scrub—scrub nice, massage issue. Hotel tried to compensate; appreciated. Onsite currency exchange convenient, average rates. Late-night entertainment lively with live music. Food biggest issue: buffet plentiful but cruise-quality. Four standalone restaurants: Asian, steakhouse, Italian, and gourmet (?). Only the Kulinarium (gourmet) I recommend. Would focus on food quality and diversify onsite entertainment. You have bars but no karaoke—seems criminal. Hotel in remote area; rent a car or taxi/Uber to visit around Cancun. Onsite excursion vendors if you're looking to pay to explore.Vibe overall like mid-tier adults-only cruise on land. 3.75 out of 5.

The hotel is located in a more isolated part of the area, which has pros and cons. It’s farther from the Hotel Zone, but cabs are easy to get, and the seclusion makes the beach feel untouched. The sand is soft and clean, the water is clear, and the waves are calm. I loved that part. They provide chairs on the beach, but there was only one server covering the area, so service could be a little slow. More staff on the beach would definitely help. The pools were large and well-kept, though I personally didn’t enjoy the swim-up bar pools. They were packed with people, and after a few hours you could actually see a film of oil on the surface, which made it feel less appealing. My biggest disappointment was the food. I had read good things about the restaurants, but they ended up being mediocre across the board. The morning buffet was the highlight, but everything else fell short of expectations. Another issue was the mosquitoes. From the moment you arrive until you get into your room, you’re likely to get bitten. Definitely bring bug spray with you. The property store sells it, which was a lifesaver, but it’s better to come prepared. Lastly, there’s no room service, which I found surprising. After a long day of excursions, sometimes you just want to relax and have food brought to your room, but that wasn’t an option here. Overall, the beach and the morning buffet were the best parts of my stay, but the food, pool experience, and lack of room service were letdowns.

Besides the restaurants and boutique in the resort, there are no local restaurants or stores outside the resort to conveniently walk to.

This was our first real vacation in 5 years and an 8-year late anniversary trip for ourselves. I booked it through Expedia and had a great experience. Itineraries were emailed separately with confirmations and everything went smoothly. I got this trip for about 1800 a person and have seen it gone up as high as about $2,400 during peak season. It was about a 40-minute drive from Cancun airport. The hotel is a fairly new Rio and is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are well maintained daily. The staff is super friendly and speaks very good English. Mostly the food and drink is decent and fresh and neither me or my husband got sick during the stay which was a plus. It is in Costa mujera so it is definitely out of the city so it's a more relaxed Vibe if that's what you're looking for, but we absolutely loved it. The beach is long, both North and South so you can have daily walks I booked a partial ocean view room and they upgraded us to a full ocean view which was very nice for our anniversary. Our room was a corner room, it was I think a bit bigger than usual. So very spacious and clean with no mold stains, dirt or bugs anywhere and are air-condition and fan worked perfectly the whole stay. You can walk to the pools in like 3 minutes from pretty much anywhere on the property and the Beach is another 2 minutes away. Overall we had an amazing stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for an all-inclusive adult only resort!

Great stay, wish the pools were a bit bigger and the beach wasn’t such a long hard walk (healthy 27 yo old) but still had a good time. Sports bar food at night was not it either. Many positives and only a few negatives that are listed.

My and my boyfriend celebrated my birthday here and we loved it. The location was good, since we got a rental car. Free parking. Loved our room with the ocean view. Staff was super friendly. The beach was really nice! Would come back. Only downfall was the reviews on mosquitoes were true. We came prepared with mosquito spray and bracelets. Still got a few bites. But I will say the mosquitos were out near the beach and it was heavier when the sun was down. We also tried to extend our stay and they wanted $320 per night. The food was bland, the Japanese resturaunt was the best option but we barely ate because of the blandness of the food. Pool side Pepe's hot dog was our go to. Still had a great time and loved the property!

Excelente relación calidad-precio. El servicio siempre fue de lo mejor, jamás vimos una mala cara o algún gesto descortés. La comida muy variada y rica, el hotel estaba lleno y nunca sentimos que tuviéramos que esperar para algo, siempre había algún mesero cerca para atenderte o algún bar. Los restaurantes de especialidad son sin reservación, eso nos encantó porque luego suele pasar que no alcanzas reserva para el día que quieres, solo es recomendable llegar temprano porque solo atienen a un número limitado por día. Nada malo que decir, supero mis expectativas.

Enjoyed my stay! Comfortable bed and the staff always kept the property very clean! 6.5/10 on the food, it was mediocre but the breakfast options were always good! I didn’t really like how you couldn’t take food to your room though.. The steak restaurant only took a certain amount of people each night so you have to arrive early which wasn’t an issue! I ate there on my third night (nothing to write home about). While there, I also watched the staff turn people away but let others come in and dine (they were being choosy which was a bit perplexing). The ocean side was a bit disappointing as there was a lot of algae on the sand by the ocean which made you not want to walk towards the beach without any water shoes on! I give the alcoholic beverages a 4/10, they tasted good but I couldn’t seem to get a buzz, just a full stomach so I stopped ordering them! Overall the property is worth staying at for the price. I’d advise bringing a nice bottle of liquor in your travel bag if you prefer an alcoholic buzz and water shoes for sure! Definitely worth visiting if your looking for an expensive vacation but there are other nice resorts in Cancun that could easily top this one. Also the ride from the airport is about 45 mins to 1.5 hours depending on traffic so that’s also something to consider!

The property is beautiful, very modern and clean. The pools were so fun and the beach was gorgeous. There was a lot of seaweed, but they did have a tractor out there cleaning it every morning as far as restaurants. The main buffet was amazing, but the other restaurants were not good. We stopped bothering to go to the other restaurants and just went to the main buffet, which had so many options and was very delicious. It was a beautiful beach vacation. It was just wonderful.

Overall the resort is okay, but there are so many areas they need to improve. All the restaurants didn't offer a hard liquor, only wine and beer, which is really weird. The resort does not have a room service.

I been to other Riu. In comparison food variety wasn’t great but what they had was super fresh and tasty. Staff were exceptional! Isias at the lobby was so friendly. Bar tenders were so good. The room was ok

Property was located far away from other places, which is ok if you didn’t want to leave the resort. Beach was too far from the hotel & not maintained very well, lots of seaweed. For as new as the resort was the bedding & towels were very poor quality. Steak restaurant was terrible, service wise & food, we tried it twice but couldn’t eat the steak. Buffet breakfast food got old, either sat out too long or not refreshed. Boxed cereal was even stale. Overall was very disappointed, first & last time for us.
